"I am bad at picking the name." Gu Xijiu was not very sentimental to begin with and was especially bad at giving names to people or pets. For example, all of the names given to her majestic beings were basic and literal, like the mussel and Lu Wu."Try to think harder. You can do this."
"Are you too lazy to contribute to the discussion? Or do you care less about her because the baby is a girl and not a boy? You do not even seem to want to name our daughter."
Perhaps, Gu Xijiu had gone too far. It was not true, and she knew it. He wanted to have a daughter more than a son. He would certainly be happy if their daughter inherited her looks, in which case he would shower them both with an equal amount of love.
Nonetheless, since Gu Xijiu pestered him, he began to think of a name. He offered a few suggestions, but they were all rejected by Gu Xijiu for all kinds of reasons. Finally, Di Fuyi had one of his flashes of inspiration. "Actually, we already have one. What about Di Xuyue? You have used the name before, only with a different surname."
Slowly but surely, their bedtime conversation ended up lasting the entire night. The discussion was fruitful as they least decided on the name of their daughter – Di Xuyue.
The next day, they did not head to another city to reconfigure another Star Formation. Instead, they chose to travel far into the Devil Kingdom to pick up Di Hao. The little boy had been alone in the Devil Kingdom for quite some time now, so they could not help but wonder how he was doing. Had he grown thinner? Had he been a crybaby?
Gu Xijiu was the only one who was concerned about his wellbeing. Di Fuyi was never worried, as he knew that the little boy must have been having a good time in the Devil Kingdom on his own. In the end, the truth turned out to be the opposite of Di Fuyi"s expectations. Gu Xijiu was right.
Little Di Hao was sick and looked significantly thinner. The only positive thing about him was that he had grown taller. He looked about a few months old when she last saw him, and now, he looked like a one-year-old.
When they found him, he was sitting with his legs crossed on the bed that was only reserved for the Devil King. His complexion was rather pale. A total of eight servants were responsible for taking care of him. Some were cooling him down with fans. Some were making him tea. Others were giving him a ma.s.sage. He looked comfortable even though he was ill.
Before Di Fuyi left the kingdom, he had told the servants to take care of little Di Hao very carefully. However, as days went by, they had grown to be quite sluggish. Typically arrogant, all these servants were only used to obeying the Devil King.
If the child had been any less authoritative, these people would not have followed his instructions so attentively. It was safe to a.s.sume that the child had given all of them a hard time.
Gu Xijiu and Di Fuyi went into the room quietly via teleportation but still managed to alarm them. "Who is that? It"s the Devil King!"
"My Devil King, you are finally back!"
"It is nice to see you here, my king!"
All eight of them eagerly bowed before him. It felt like a bittersweet reunion after a long time of being apart from their precious leader.
Di Hao looked up and saw them. With a quick leap, he jumped off the bed and ran towards them with his short, chubby legs. "Mother! Father!"
He was running towards Gu Xijiu with his arms wide open, obviously looking for a hug. However, he was stopped before he could even reach Gu Xijiu. Di Fuyi reached out to the child first and put the boy in his arms straight away. "Di Hao, you have grown so much."
Gu Xijiu resonated with him, "Yes, the last time I saw you, you were still a baby who needed to be carried around. Look at you now. You can even run so steadily!"
