"When you recover, I punish you by making you face the wall at the back of the mountain for a year!"Fan Qians.h.i.+ listened to her voice that still sounded powerful. He was less worried now and agreed on the punishment.
Since Gu Xijiu had long known that her apprentice was going to have a catastrophe, she had prepared sufficient medicine for him. She threw the pills to Wu Qianyan and instructed her on how to administer them for Fan Qians.h.i.+ to take care of him until he was able to take care of himself. She could barely stand at that point and wanted to leave immediately.
"Master, where are you going?" There was a murmur from behind.
Gu Xijiu did not answer him and did not even turn her head. Swiftly, she left the place.
Wu Qianyan breathed a sigh of relief. She stepped forward and helped Fan Qians.h.i.+ to stand up. She looked at the scars on his body, and her heart trembled. "Young master, rest a.s.sured. Our Divine Lord is strong enough to bear the catastrophe. She must have her reasons for leaving. You do not have to worry about her."
Before she finished speaking, Fan Qians.h.i.+ fainted on her.
...
Gu Xijiu was distracted and stumbled a few times while traveling through the clouds. In the end, she decided to travel underground and took a deep breath before going back to the glacier. If she did not do so soon, she might die this time.
She could feel the soul in her body in pain as if there was a formidable force tearing her apart. She had taken seven or eight pills to reduce the impact of the thunderbolts, but she still felt unwell.
To travel to the glacier, she needed to go underground, but she was not good at the Ground Drilling technique. Nevertheless, she could usually make it through.
This time, she felt unusually terrible. Moving forward was very difficult for her as she could not breathe, so she had to pull out from the ground several times to catch a breath. When she finally reached the glacier, she was already very dizzy. She started to face regular blackouts.
She fell to the ground and shook her head. The matter was rather serious this time. She looked up and saw stars and birds in front of her eyes for a second, and later, she could not see anything for a moment.
"What are you doing?!" She heard someone scream in the distance.
Gu Xijiu rubbed her eyes. Her vision was blurry, but she could see a purple shadow standing not too far away. She tried to catch her breath to regain her consciousness. On top of her poor sight, there was now a buzzing in her ears. Fortunately, her mind was still vaguely active enough to understand what was happening.
She could not think of any other person who would come to this glacier. It had to be Di Fuyi. However, she did not expect to meet him.
The cold wind here could pierce through the bone marrow of any being. Gu Xijiu was now very weak that she almost froze once she entered the place. Despite her dizziness, she knew that she would freeze to death here and end up as an ice sculpture. Out of instinct, she pinched her fingers together and muttered a few spells, pointing to the direction of Di Fuyi. Then, she fainted.
...
When she woke up, she found herself sleeping in an ice house, in the arms of a person.
She was stiff for a moment but soon saw Di Fuyi through the slit of her eyes. He looked at her with no expression on his face.
At that moment, Gu Xijiu was cuddling him like a cat. His arms were hot, so when he was hugging her, she seemed to feel as though she was sleeping in a warm sleeping bag. The wind outside was howling, but the house was warm as spring.
