I gradually returned to the sound of my name being called out. The sight of moonstone swam into my view. I felt a coolness to my skin from its smooth stony texture. It no longer carried qualities of magic."Famisto!" War called out to me again as he helped me stand up.
Shadowy movements of approaching people surrounded me. I slowly raised my head to the sight of Wisteria Garden Squad members and their solemn expressions that ticked me off.
"Famine." Death joined my side and War"s support.
The three of us stood on the moonstone stage, facing off with knights from the Evadale Knight Order.
"Are you okay?" Lita timidly asked.
The tension between us and them was heavy and thick, dampening any good relations we once had.
"You tell me." I answered without expression.
Silence ensued for a while until it was broken with a deep sigh. Trix stepped forward with Colin behind him.
"This became real gentlemen." Trix"s voice was void of his usual cheek and tackiness. It was one of serious business.
Colin faced me with an expression of obvious distressed. He signed his acknowledgement of his memory to the Four Hors.e.m.e.n statues we had seen at the Office of Exacles back within the labyrinth of the past.
"Good Knights, what do you propose for us now?" Death asked, giving them the decision for our lives.
Sol"s time, s.p.a.ce, nature and ever changing scenery of life raced around us as we stood with stillness within the Stasis Theatre"s center stage.
"You will be bound to the Mansion where we can monitor you three around the clock." Trix laid down the order.
I chuckled at the irony of being found in a prison, but not treated as a prisoner; to being treated as a prisoner in the knights" mansion.
"You, Famine, will be under my care." Trix serious tone carried strong resemblance to Leinard.
I glanced around for Leinard and saw him in a discussion with Deacon. All the other knights moving around them to file out of the theatre.
Trix stepped closer, so the three of us could hear him clearly.
"You will not have access to my brother whilst I watch you like a hawk."
My anger swelled within me. This was just b.l.o.o.d.y great.
"How strong is your heart, Captain?" I angrily said under my breath.
"You dare threaten me Famine?" Trix frowned, surprised.
"I merely ask."
Trix nodded his head, exasperated. Why? He was the one coming at me with a hard line.
"Trix, that"s enough." Leinard gently ordered his brother from behind. He rea.s.sured him with a shoulder pat.
"Famine, come with me. Death and War, would be you be so kind as to follow Ryoko and Lita back to the Knights" Living Quarters at the mansion."
I glanced to Death and War with my rea.s.surance that I would be fine. They returned the gesture.
My heart pounded with uneven beats as I watched them leave the stage with the knights and up the amphitheatre aisle for the elevator exit.
Eventually I was alone on the stage with Leinard.
"What now Colonel? You saw the truth of Gat Shiem"s fall. Do you pa.s.s judgement on me for it too?" It took my will to hold my voice together.
"Far from it Famine. It"s clear that you and your brothers faced an injustice." Leinard sighed.
"Then why do the knights suddenly see as ones for judgement?" I angrily faced him.
"Is that how you see all this?" Leinard looked pained.
My jaw tightened and hands twitched as I felt my anger resonate throughout my body.
"You brought us here. You got us on this stage. You forced our traumatic memories from out of our minds! YOU MADE ME SEE MY BROTHER TAKEN AWAY AGAIN!" I shouted at him and pointed a finger at his face.
"It was all you!" My seething ran deep. "The knights reactions to all this. I get. You hurt me the most. Trix won"t have anything to worry about. I never want to think of you again!"
I spat at the ground near his boots.
Leinard"s facade of stoicism was stripped away to reveal a truth of his emotions. He was in pain and deeply hurt by what had transpired.
"Famine. I like you. I never want to hurt you."
"But you did. I never thought the one to hurt me the most would be you. I get War"s comment now. Keep your enemies in your bed." I lowered my head, my anger subsiding to bitter regret.
"Please, Famine. It"s not what you think. This was not to test your loyalty to us."

"Then what?" My voice lowered to a whisper as my emotion was being spent very fast, and I was feeling drained.
"It was to know why." Leinard braved a few steps towards me.
"That"s a terrible reason. Colonel. I don"t care what you do to me. If you dare hurt brothers again, I will find a way to compensate the hurt tenfold."
_"Understood."_ Leinard"s sorrowful voice resonated around my mind.
"Follow me." He resumed his business tone.
I followed him out of the Stasis Theatre.
