Keira spent most of her days at different places, gathering information, investigating leads, writing and reporting stories "live" or "on the scene."

Occasionally, she was recording her news stories, sometimes called packages, for a later broadcast.

Being a field reporter required a great deal of stamina, physical fitness, and unflagging self-motivation, which she was glad she had learned at the Military Academy.

She checked her social media profile and noticed that she had gained a lot of followers. Despite her workload, she was trying to keep her social media profile updated.

If she wanted to get noticed, she knew that the best way was to be active on social networking websites. To increase her visibility and build a name for herself in the industry, she needed a strong and sustained online presence.

Also, she had to maintain a presence on social media networking sites to cover live events, provide additional information for readers and viewers, promote their station, and most importantly, engage with her audience.

She laughed, seeing that her mom had commented to all her posts and reports.

"When did she become so active like this, ah?" she mumbled with a grin.

She felt really happy seeing how her mom was proud of her. Her mom was often calling her, upon watching her on television. Although Keira only had limited screen time in each report, her mom was praising her a hundred times.

As usual, today, she was outside for action. She was at the police station, waiting to get a new scoop.

"Hey, do you know Thea from somewhere? I mean, like personally or somehow. Why do you two have this grudge against each other? Or maybe she just doesn"t like you?" said JV who sat beside her, and gave the bottle of water which he brought to her.

Keira"s nostrils flared, as her face crumpled hearing Thea"s name, but then she relaxed her face.

Well, she was always out, doing fieldwork. She usually reported at the station in the early morning. She tried to make her visits no longer than thirty minutes, only so Thea and she would not have a long encounter.

"Why do you think so?" Keira asked out of curiosity.

"Hmm, nothing special... but I often see her staring at you. It"s like she is observing your report, looking for the smallest details to criticize," commented JV. He had noticed that Thea was often reviewing Keira"s reports for longer compared to others.

Keira laughed. She could also feel how Thea was keeping her eyes on her. As if the woman was waiting for her to make mistakes or a wrong move.

However, she was too busy to give a d.a.m.n. It"s just a waste of time to even think about her.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

Right now, she was too focused on doing satisfying work to show her capabilities to upper management.

"Hmm, such an observant partner, huh? We don"t know each other, Bro, but we know the same man." Keira answered subtly with a wink.

"What?" JV asked with a crumpled forehead, as he was confused with Keira"s words.

"Did I hear it right, you mean it"s about a man?!" asked JV.

But both were startled when the Chief of the Police Station shouted in their direction, "Miss beautiful, here"s your awaited scoop! Hurry and follow me!"

"Yes, Sir!" Keira answered excitedly.

That instant both of them quickly stood and ran, following the Chief of the Police Station.

"What is it, Sir?" Keira asked as they ran outside with the police officers.

"It"s a murder scene… a murder case to be precise… But the big thing is that the victim is the Vice-President"s wife…" answered the Chief.

Outside, Jim saw Keira running out of the Police Station with her cameraman…

"Oh, c.r.a.p! I"ll go get the car!" shouted Jim to John, who was buying a snack from the convenience store opposite the Police Station.

John had no choice, but to leave the money at the counter as he said before running, "Keep the change!"

"Darn, I had no small bills!" he hissed inwardly, but he was craving for that chips too much to leave it behind.

.....

Though a bit tired, Keira would never miss the opportunity to spend some time with Zach whenever she could.

That night, they were watching a movie at Keira"s condo. Both of them had never seen it; it was a cla.s.sic all-time favorite movie.

They were hugging each other, and Keira could feel her eyes were becoming heavy.

"Are you going to be busy a lot with that mission?" asked Keira in her sluggish voice.

"I"m not sure yet, but don"t worry, I don"t need to be away for that mission because the target is here… Very near, so we"ll see each other every now and then if our schedules fit," answered Zach.

Keira no longer responded, and Zach could hear her heavy breathing.

He smiled, seeing his falling star was already asleep. Zach carried her to her room and gently placed her onto the bed.

"Goodnight, my falling star," he whispered after he covered her with a comforter and gave her a gentle kiss full of love.

He never missed Keira"s reports. Even at the Military Base, where the TV was not available, he watched them online, on his mobile phone.

He was so proud of her that he would praise her openly in front of his men and cadets. Torin had to stop him from being redundant most of the time.

He even encouraged his men to watch daily news because his girlfriend was one of the reporters at the field; Keira Chan - his woman.

He would love to always be beside Keira and sleep with her every night, but he fought the urge to because he wanted to do things properly.

He wanted Keira to have a proper wedding ceremony and a honeymoon. After this mission was completed, the first thing Zach would do was to ask Keira to be his wife...
