Keira held a four-p.r.o.nged fis.h.i.+ng spear that Zach crafted from bamboo, so she could catch fish easily.
"Why is this so hard?" she hissed. Zach told her that it would be easier to catch fish with the p.r.o.nged spear instead of a single spear, and it indeed looked so effortless when he demonstrated how to do it. But now that she was trying it herself, she looked so funny as she kept tripping and stumbling in the water.
Thankfully, Zach was not around to witness how silly and amateurish she looked at that moment. Otherwise, she would surely receive a lot of teasing from her dearest perfect-in-everything husband.
Oh, but she really was lucky that she got stranded with the best man in the world. Apart from the luxurious comfort that she was used to back home, ever since they arrived on the island, Keira had never once felt that she was deprived of life"s basic necessities at all. Zach had made sure that she got everything that she needed.
Keira shook her head to concentrate, and her eyes narrowed at a shallow part of the water. There were a lot of fish to catch, but the problem was they just swam too fast! Or maybe it was not them? Perhaps she was the problem because she was too slow?
Zach left her alone on the beach as he continued to work on their new shelter inside the jungle. Keira no longer contested after seeing how terrified her husband was with the snake incident. She did not want Zach to worry for her like that. It was the last thing she wanted him to feel.
"Oho… You fish are so lucky you can swim fast!" She jeered as she tried hard to capture just one of them, but failed every time. As a matter of fact, Keira, too, was good at throwing daggers and knives. She had been practicing using Leon"s pictures during the special ops qualification course.

But unfortunately, her practice target was always that of a steady one, and not a moving one.
But of course, she would not be the Keira Lim-Chan that was well-known for her persistence and determination if she were to give up now. Not a chance. Keira would not stop until she caught at least one fish.
"Please, fish… Let me catch at least one of you before my husband returns…" Keira pleaded as if the fish would understand her. She reddened in embarra.s.sment as she recalled how boastful she was to Zach before he left. She told him that it would be too easy of a job for her and that he would see a lot of fish once he returned.
It took her a few more hours when finally, "Wowwww!!! Oh yeah!!!" Keira whooped and danced crazily because of the one fish that she had just caught. "Oh, but I need more...:" she mumbled as she tried to capture more.
After a while, she managed to catch more fish. She was now preparing them like how Zach taught her. She cringed as she cleaned them because of the slimy feel. "Ewww," Keira murmured while removing the inner organs. Never in her wildest dreams had she imagined herself doing this. But she was delighted with what she had achieved that day.
If her mom had seen this, she would have definitely been proud of her. She laughed at the thought of how funny her mom"s expression would be… But then tears suddenly ran down her cheeks. Keira burst out crying at the thought of her mom, whom she was missing so much. Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.
After letting out her sorrow for a bit, she wiped her tears and gathered herself. She must remain strong now. Not only for herself but for her husband too.
She was curious to see how Zach was doing. "I should bring him lunch!" she squealed at her brilliant idea. Keira rushed herself to prepare the fire to grill the fish. She was humming as she thought of some recreational activities she and Zach could do once their new shelter was built.
As soon as Keira was done, she made her way to the new shelter Zach was building. Zach had cleared the path to it so she would not get lost and it would be easier to walk on. He had also put up some wood alternately by the track, every three meters apart.
She giggled at Zach"s defense pose when he was alerted by a presence… Which was hers…
Zach sighed, seeing it was only his wife. "Why are you here?" He asked.
Keira smiled at him and said, "Well, isn"t it obvious with what I am holding? It"s lunchtime, so I brought you food…"
She sat on a pile of branches and gestured for Zach to sit beside her. As expected, he was sweating all over, and she brought a cloth to wipe him dry. His hands were all dirty, and he was about to get up to wash up at the waterfall, but Keira stopped him.
"Don"t bother to walk there, don"t waste energy. I"ll just feed you," Keira said with a wink as she started to debone the fish and feed Zach with her bare hands.
"How come the fish tastes particularly delicious this time?" Zach said grinning. He was teasing her because she was using her hand to feed him.
She blushed and giggled, "Because I caught it myself and cooked it with love?"
Zach laughed and opened his mouth for another bite, "Ahhh…." Keira joyfully obliged and fed him more, but Zach was in a playful mood. He bit her finger and intentionally licked it. Keira"s eyes rounded as she scolded him, "What the heck, General Lim!? I am off-limit for a week!"
Zach"s raised a brow as he answered, "What are you thinking, Mrs. Lim? Why are you so full of perverted thoughts? It"s the fish, okay? The taste of the fish is so yummy. It"s finger-licking good yummy…"
Keira burst into a fit of laughter at her husband"s witty retort. Zach laughed too, but soon murmured, "d.a.m.n, I almost forgot that I"ll be put on a diet for a week."
