How can anyone call it a nightmare, if doesn"t end even when she"s awake? It had been days when Xhemin buried her baby, there at the Loch where most of the happy days of her youth happened. She felt hollow, empty and alone even when Dian was there to keep her company.
Dian had comforted her saying Darryl will be home any moment, but days had gone past, and still no Darryl came. Worst, even Ziggy and Ang were nowhere to be found. They didn"t reach Woodbridge as Dian"s men told.
The Little Miss cried for days and soon for the first time, her tears gone dry. There were no more tears left to wet her eyes. Even the pain inside her wasn"t anymore hurting her, she became numb to everything.
The day that the doctor gave her the dead body of her little one, Xhemin was utterly devasted. Devastated to the point that she wanted to accompany the boy even until his grave. She was worried that her child will feel alone and cold in the darkness, with no mother to sing him lullabies. She had memorized his perfect little face—his few hairs, the bridge of his nose, his lips and his jaw. Why did they take him even before she could give him warmth? Or even before she could call her baby and shower him with her love?
They had s.n.a.t.c.hed her not only with her flesh and blood but also with all the life that was left of her. Now she got nothing, nothing to hold on to, nothing to move forward for.
"Xhem, please ate even a little," Dian was like begging. The little miss refused to eat anything for days and no matter how she comforted her, she just wouldn"t move. She had stayed on her bed, quiet and openly staring at the window, where the grave of her child can be seen.
Dian had lost all the reasons she could gave her and even sent her men to Woodbridge to find the youngest sire. But fate hadn"t been good to them, she cannot even locate the youngest sire right then. He just evaporated and left without any mark to follow through.
Her only hoped to cheer her was her brother but a news broke out a day after the accident sending the business industry to chaos—The Lagdameo heir ran away. Darryl ran away from the take over to fly back home, only to be welcomed by L Empire"s men in the airport and no news about him after that.
"Second Miss," One of Dian"s men called her and so she stepped out on the room to talk to him.
"What"s wrong?" She asked, "Is there news about the youngest sire?"
"No Second Miss, I"m sorry" The man apologized, "But I came to tell you that something happened in Richmond ranch last night, I thought you might want to know,"
"What?" Dian was a bit surprised with the news. Dian learned recently that it was L Empire who bought the Richmond Ranch and it was Manager Song who was managing it now, "What exactly happened?"
"Someone broke in," The man said. "They were not sure if something was taken and what"s the intention of the culprit,"
"Really," Dian"s interest was caught with the news. As for her knowledge, there was nothing precious in Richmond ranch to get one interested in stealing anything. The Dugmoch"s lived a simple life and there was certainly nothing expensive in their house to risk someone"s life of getting in. "Who was it? Did they—"
Dian"s words were cut off when he felt that someone was looking at their direction, eavesdropping at them so she turned to look back to the room where Xhemin was. She found her on the same position as she previously was, unmoved.
Dian sighed and pulled a duvet to cover Xhemin"s body then walked out of the door again, pulling it close this time so she can finish her conversation with the man. Half hour later, she went back to Xhemin"s room and found no one in there, the duvet she used earlier was already on the floor and the window was now opened, the curtains flying into the air endlessly.
"Xhem?" Dian called in panic. She ran to the window and saw Xhemin kneeling at her son"s grave. She sighed in relief and turned to pull the duvet to put it back on the bed. However, when she looked the second time around, Xhemin wasn"t anymore in her son"s grave, she was already standing at the edge of the cliff, that part when you peer over, you"ll be able to see the waves cras.h.i.+ng on the big rocks below. It was the part where the bottom wasn"t accessible to any motorboats or any kind of sea transport for the reason that big rocks would block all intrusion.
"O my G.o.d!" Dian ran as fast as she could. She went out of the Loch cottage and ran without slippers on with the intention of stopping whatever foolishness was running into Xhemin"s head. "Xhemin, no! Please don"t do that,"
Xhemin turned to give her a glance, her face was devoid of any expression, but her ink deep eyes were s.h.i.+nning with thorough determination. She gave Dian one bitter smile before she stepped back and allowed herself to fall. Fall into the depths of her misery and fall into the thing that she thought was the only escape she could do to end all her pain.
"Xhemin no!" Dian screamed all her heart out with what she had witnessed. She reached the place where Xhemin once previously stood and peered over to see Xhemin"s body falling into the bottom like a tiny stick, welcomed by the waves and rocks at the bottom below.

Dian held her mouth and fell on her knees. She was shaking all over with the tragedy that she had seen, traumatized by all that had happened. It was not enough that she had seen firsthand the death of her nephew, she also saw how his mother killed herself.
