Being yelled at did not fill Jason with anger. He lifted his wrist and looked at his watch. ” I just have a few more things to do, so it’s time for me to head back. I will move my stuff here tomorrow.” Having uttered those words, he got ready to go.

Su Han held onto him. “Make yourself clear!”

“I have made myself perfectly clear. I am breaking up with you, but I will move in here!” Jason reiterated.

“What are you trying to achieve here?” Su Han could not figure him out at all.

Jason had to make up an excuse since Su Han would not let him go. “To keep you company through this period of you mourning for the lost love!”

Su Han’s expression turned into sneer. “Aren’t you overestimating your importance to me? I am not going to resort to desperate actions just because you break up with me. Worst comes to worst, I will drink some wine tonight and tomorrow when I wake up, it will be a brand-new day. Maybe next time we meet, I won’t even remember who you are.”

“Then I will come over tonight and we can have a few drinks together!” Jason added.

“What is wrong with you?” Su Han gave him a good scolding. “You are the one that wants to break up with me, so don’t get all clingy. Make it quick and clean. Leave!” With that said, Su Han pushed Jason into the foyer.

Jason put his shoes on and turned around to Su Han. “I will swing by tonight!”

“If you come here, I will move to live in a hotel later!” Su Han retorted.

“Fine…. See you tomorrow!” Jason said.

“I don’t think we should see each other for awhile.” Su Han gave a straightforward rejection.

Jason kept his gaze on her for a moment before he stressed, “Give me a call any time you are in a bad mood and want to let some steam out!”

“Jason, do you know that you are asking for a beating!” Su Han could not put up with this any longer.

“Beat me as much as you wish. I will not complain!” Jason said.

Su Han was speechless. She pushed him out of the door and slammed it close immediately.

Su Han headed to the kitchen and took out a bottle of wine from the fridge. She opened the bottle and guzzled it down.

Amy ran over, only to find Su Han drinking. Amy blinked. “Su Han, drinking is bad for your health!”

Su Han took a few more sips before she turned to Amy and said with a sad tone, “Amy, do you think that Jason is crazy?”

“Jason is crazy?” Amy blinked in confusion.

“Yeah, for some baffling reason, he broke up with me. Then, he proposed to move in here to help me through the mourning period. Isn’t he a psycho?” Su Han complained about Jason to Amy.

Amy stared at Su Han with her doe eyes. “Su Han, have you been dumped?”

“I didn’t fall for him, so I have not been dumped!” Su Han said.

Amy’s eyes were twinkling. “But you are drinking, and you called Jason crazy. I can tell from your expression that you are angry.”

“I don’t want to be angry, but I cannot control myself!” As she said so, she pulled a long face. She lowered her body and hugged Amy. “Amy, why did he break up with me? Did I do something wrong? Am I not good enough for him? Am I too lazy? Am I too much of a homebody? Am I…”

Su Han asked a bunch of questions. Amy did not know what to say when Su Han was, so heart broken. Amy patted Su Han on her back. “You can take a horse to the water, but you cannot make him drink.”

Those words had no comforting value at all. Su Han let go of Amy and went back to drinking.

“Su Han, slow down. You will get drunk!” Amy reminded her.

Su Han chugged the bottle, which made her burp. She even had the energy to claim, “It’s just one bottle!” However, as soon as she finished those words, she fell toward Amy.

Amy heaved a soft sigh. She took away the wine bottle from Su Han and carried her back to her bedroom slowly.

At Jin Xiangdong’s villa.

Jason walked upstairs. Jin Xiangdong, who was sitting on the couch, stood up. “Done?”

Jason came to Jin Xiangdong. “I’ve tested a few times. No electric device can function in the bedroom!”

Jin Xiangdong nodded. “I have to run now! Call me if you need anything.” Jason added.

“Okay!” Jin Xiangdong replied.

“Jason, thank you!” Lu Jia’er, who was also here, expressed her grat.i.tude as well.

Jason threw her a look. He thought of something. “Professor Lu, can I borrow your bedroom and live there for a little while?” He was asking for her permission.

When he mentioned to Su Han that he was planning to move in, he had not acquired Lu Jia’er’s consent yet. Now, he was seeking approval post-event.

“My bedroom?” Lu Jia’er was bewildered.

“Your bedroom in the apartment you rent with Su Han.” Jason explained.

Before Lu Jia’er could answer, Jin Xiangdong had wedged his objection in. “No. You can sleep on the couch!”

Jason glared at Jin Xiangdong. “Sleep on the couch? Ace, you are kicking down the ladder!”

“It is not appropriate given that most of Jia’er’s stuff is still there.” Jin Xiangdong claimed.

Jason glanced at him. Of course, he knew what Jin Xiangdong was thinking. That bedroom was his woman’s boudoir, which could not be contaminated by other men.

The only reply Jason could come up with for a friend with such “mysophobia in love” was, “fine, I will sleep on the couch” even though he felt it unfair.

“Jason, do you want to live with Su Han because I have moved here?” Lu Jia’er asked, trying to understand his view. Her head was in the clouds.

No wonder they were best friends. The two girls had such similar thoughts.

Jason smiled. “Well… I broke up with Su Han an hour ago. But I want to move in there to protect her!”

While Lu Jia’er did wonder if they were going to break up right away, she was still surprised to hear it. “Break up?”

“Professor Lu, you may find me a coward and you are not wrong.” An apologetic smile hung around the corner of his mouth.

“No!” Lu Jia’er shook her head. “It is a good thing that you have proposed this break-up. I am not even willing to let her know that we are AI. If you want my opinion, I’d advise you not to move in there, Jason.”

“Then what about Su Han’s safety?” Jason asked.

“She should be fine!” Lu Jia’er a.s.sumed. “If you move in there, you may make it more confusing and chaotic for Su Han!”

Jason was deep in his thoughts. “I will move into the apartment next door or across the corridor if moving into your apartment is not a good idea.”

“Do as you see fit if you are that worried.” Lu Jia’er replied.

After Jason left, Lu Jia’er picked up her cell phone and called Su Han. However, Amy was the one answering the phone, not Su Han.

“Amy, where is Su Han?” Lu Jia’er asked.

“She is drunk. She is sleeping now!” Amy replied.

“Drunk? How much did she drink?” Lu Jia’er frowned.

“A bottle. She drank too fast and pa.s.sed out!” Amy explained.

Lu Jia’er’s eyebrows were still knitted together. “Amy, take care of Su Han.”

“Sure!” Amy promised without hesitation.

Lu Jia’er continued staring at the phone for a few seconds after she hung up. Jin Xiangdong turned around and pulled her into his embrace.

Lu Jia’er looked up at Jin Xiangdong’s s.e.xy chin. “Unfortunately, it seems as though Su Han had a lot of feelings for Jason!” She heaved a sigh.

“The pain will only be temporary!” Jin Xiangdong comforted her.

Lu Jia’er nodded. “Yes. Breaking up will be good for both of them.”

Jin Xiangdong rubbed her hair with his chin. “We will stay together forever.”

Lu Jia’er felt her heart warm. She raised her head. Jin Xiangdong’s eyes spoke volumes of deep affection. She kissed him on his s.e.xy chin and Adam’s apple.

Jin Xiangdong’s Adam’s apple moved. “Do you know what will happen if you seduce me?” His voice had changed.

Lu Jia’er chuckled. “I do!”

“If so, do not do things which do not conform to the rites.” Lu Jia’er heard Jin Xiangdong’s deep voice in her ears.

“Do not do things which do not conform to the rites?” Lu Jia’er repeated his words with a smile. “Ace, can I ask you something? Who taught you your Chinese?”

“Academician Jin Shengping!” Jin Xiangdong replied.

“No wonder!” Lu Jia’er laughed.

“What do you mean?” Jin Xiangdong interposed a question.

“When it comes to cultural nuggets of wisdom, our generation lags far behind your father’s generation.” Lu Jia’er replied.

“Why is that?” Jin Xiangdong questioned.

“Take the college students nowadays for an example. Of course, there are outstanding students, but few can be conversant with ancient and modern learning. Most students only know about their major or something they are interested in. Other than that, they are ill-informed.” Lu Jia’er shared her view.

“Ill-informed in other fields is not a bad thing as long as one can excel in their own profession.” This was Jin Xiangdong’s comment.

“That being said, there is still a difference. Let’s talk about you. You even use such polished words when flirting. You have demonstrated perfectly how to take liberties with women with complete earnestness!” Lu Jia’er giggled.

“Taking liberties with women with complete earnestness?” Jin Xiangdong raised his eyebrows and repeated her words.

“Don’t you know this yourself?” Lu Jia’er laughed.

“Now that you have said so, if I don’t make the most of our time and take liberties with you, I will not deserve your compliment!” With that said, Jin Xiangdong picked Lu Jia’er up.

“What are you doing?” Lu Jia’er asked, smiling.

“Taking liberties with you!” As he answered her question, he carried her upstairs.

Lu Jia’er blushed instantly. A few minutes later, Jin Xiangdong threw himself on her and began to undress her…

Then, she heard Jin Xiangdong whispering into her ears, “My path through the flowers has never been cleared for a visitor, but today this wicker gate of mine stands open just for you.”

It took Lu Jia’er a few seconds to understand what he was really implying. She had to tip her hat to Jin Xiangdong for being so earnest when acting so naughty!
