Chapter 1103: Black Iron Bar

They had only lost a Druid, so there was no need to restart the battle. Lu Li just reminded everyone to watch out for Verek’s Slash.
At phase three, Verek was the first to be killed. After this, everyone focused on Warder Stilgiss. If they still couldn’t take down Verek this time, then it was basically a team wipe, because the Boss would begin to cast all sorts of spells as he pleased.
This was no exaggeration – being a Mage, Stilgiss had an a.r.s.enal of skills to choose from. This was the stage where Warden Stilgiss really frustrated the major guilds.
As for the timing and order of these skills, the tacticians a.n.a.lysed it for half a month and came to the conclusion that there was no particular order. The Boss just did as he pleased, like an employee who just wanted to finish his job and go home.
At this point, the commander of the team became very important.
The timing to use damage reduction, when to group or scatter, and sorting out the situation when a team member was controlled by the Boss were all crucial to success.
This required synchronization, so team wipes became a common situation. The entire celebrity team had wiped at least five or six times here already and had spent quite some time on this Boss.
When they did eventually defeat him, Warden Stilgiss generously dropped a Legendary shoulder piece called Boreal Mantle. It was rolled for by Sorrowless, and Unforgettable Maple whined for a long time about it because there was only a one-point difference between their scores.
The other equipment was a Dark Gold necklace dropped by Verek – Verek’s Collar. Necklaces were rare equips and the price of a Dark Gold piece was no less than any other Legendary equipment.
This was a necklace for defensive cla.s.ses, and Sea Breaker didn’t want to fight for it against Azure Sea Breeze, so it fell right into the hands of Azure Sea Breeze. Azure Sea Breeze promised to give his current piece to him in return; the two of them weren’t like Sorrowless and Unforgettable Maple.
The other equips were quite average, which made Lu Li a little concerned.
Up until now, he hadn’t even encountered any worthwhile. Things were definitely tougher when Remnant Dream wasn’t around.
Upon leaving, Lu Li glanced at a portrait on the wall which was of a character named Gug Firewhiskers. He was a past owner of the Black Iron Bar and had gone missing, apparently heading up North.
If you had the relevant quest, you would be able to find a hidden door behind the portrait.
It wasn’t a quest that was easy to activate, so it was best to let Hachi Chan attempt it next time.
They returned to the Black Iron Bar and all of them were tired from the hours of dungeoning. Lu Li had everyone rest for half an hour before they continued. The bar sold Barley Wine which gave some Attributes that weren’t worth mentioning.
As Lu Li drank and studied the movements in the bar, Sorrowless came and sat by him.
“What makes you so interested?” Sorrowless asked.
“Ribbly Screwspigot. I’m thinking about how to take him down in silence,” Lu Li answered as he pointed at the Goblin businessman that was drinking wine in a corner. This was their next boss.
“You’re quite hard working, even when you rest,” Sorrowless commended.
Lu Li had no comments; he didn’t think that Sorrowless would come over just to praise him. They were still compet.i.tors to each other and had used all sorts of tactics on each other multiple times.
“My shout,” Sorrowless said as he knocked on the bar table.
“50 silver for a single Black Iron Beer. I’d say it’s too cheap. When I get the chance to head over to Orgrimmar, I’ll have some Tauren wine there.”
Of course, the Alliance couldn’t just stroll into Orgrimmar, the main city of the Tauren. The only way they could enter would be through an army.
Orgrimmar was also the city that Glory Capital resided at, so he knew what Lu Li meant.
However, he wasn’t angered like Lu Li had expected. Instead, he lowered his voice and sighed, “Darkness, is she doing alright?”
Darkness?
So this gaming legend also had his share of relations.h.i.+p issues. The Darkness that he mentioned was a healing Paladin in Ruling Sword who was also in the elite group. She was one of the earlier guild members.
Apparently, Sorrowless had liked her since they were little, but for some reason, she didn’t feel the same. In order to play without him, she even made an account in the opposite faction and joined the elite group of Ruling Sword, moving over to Jiangnan City with a single suitcase.
Interestingly, if she was levelling in the Wild, other guilds, especially those who had a relations.h.i.+p with Glory Capital, would walk the other way.
Lu Li only smiled and left it at that when he heard about the situation. He didn’t stoop so low as to use her as leverage.
Darkness received the same treatment in the guild as anyone else. She was rewarded when she did well, and was punished if she made mistakes. Darkness relied entirely on herself and was doing well.
“She seems to be pretty good. I haven’t really been paying much attention.”
Lu Li didn’t really need to try and aggravate a man who was being hurt in a relations.h.i.+p. Truth be told, he wasn’t paying much attention to Darkness in the first place. From what he could recall, it seemed like she was a skilled Healer.
As for her personality, what she liked to do in her spare time…
Sorrowless would find a way to kill him if Lu Li could recall all that.
Just because Sorrowless was lowkey about it, it didn’t mean that he wasn’t the type to be overprotective. If anyone killed Darkness in the game, the wouldn’t be having a good time in the future to come.
Of course, Lu Li wasn’t scared of him.
Sorrowless didn’t expect to find anything out from Lu Li either; he drank a sip of win and continued to look ahead with a cool face.
“You, slacking off, hey? What are you two talking about?” From the tone, it was clearly Unforgettable Maple. Although he wasn’t as handsome as Sorrowless, his blue robe gave him a striking appearance. At least, it made Lu Li look even more dorky with his Thief outfit.
“We’re talking about how we can join together and take down Majin Temple first,” Lu Li said as he rolled his eyes.
“Haha, tell me about it,” Unforgettable Maple laughed dryly. “The two guilds that definitely won’t be forming an alliance right now are Ruling Sword and Glory Capital. There’s only one champion spot to begin with.”
Although he was joking, everyone can feel the loneliness in his tone. Majin Temple was once one of the best and most popular, but now they couldn’t even make it into the top 8. It seemed as if all his hard work had accounted for nothing.
However, this was how life was – no one could really comfort him about it.
The compet.i.tors, who spent all their time fighting each other, finally had a chance to gather in a bar of a dungeon to drink some cheap wine and talk together.
