"You mortals don"t understand the greatness of death at all," Ramstein the Gorger sighed as he took his last breath before his decaying body fell to the ground.
His last words actually had some meaning to them, and there were some that did understand.
Azure Sea Breeze definitely understood. He had died and his expression was dark when he was finally revived, especially when he heard that Wandering had been awarded with Skill Points. Not to mention, he had missed out on a great deal of EXP.
The Bosses in Dawn usually awarded a great deal of EXP, but after the last System Update, the EXP that each player received was fixed. They wouldn"t receive more just because they had a smaller group of players.
This was to prevent players from sacrificing themselves to give a single player the full EXP.
Lu Li didn"t receive a Skill Point either; it seemed that they were too difficult to get at the moment. The fact they had more EXP meant that they had more skills to upgrade, which made the scarcity of Skill Points even more obvious. Lu Li didn"t even dare to upgrade the skills that he had recently received.
"Quickly, go," Azure Sea Breeze directed Remnant Dream at the Boss and looked her in antic.i.p.ation.
For someone who had fought so hard for the Boss and had not received any EXP for it, he could only comfort himself in the equipment that could potentially come out of it. Perhaps he would get an exquisite item.
Remnant Dream looked at him helplessly, and reluctantly knelt by the Boss to loot it.
"Slavedriver"s Cane – it"s a Magic Staff for me! It increases the chance of a successful Taming by 30%. Wow, this is a really good item. I want it! I will give myself 50 gold coins!" Remnant Dream cried out happily. Everyone then watched, dumbfounded, as she took out a gold coin and pa.s.sed it from her left to her right hand.
Hachi Chan thought that her friend had gone mad, and thought that they wouldn"t be able to continue playing this game anymore.
Recently, she had been reading light novels on a website, and there were many stories about a Hunter catching a cute little Druid to keep as a pet. Perhaps this would one day become a reality for her.
The Slavedriver"s Cane was indeed a poweful item. It had high Attack and well-rounded Attributes which enabled the Hunter to engage in close combat. It also increased the success rate of Tame Beast, which was incredibly valuable.
In addition, there were also two other special effects. One had the chance of repelling an enemy, while the other could be casted to send the user to a specified location.
While this was a Dark Gold equipment, Ramstein the Gorger had failed to drop an Epic item. It had a chance of dropping an Epic item, but this was so small that the item was often forgotten.
"Alright, keep going," Azure Sea Breeze said as he patted the girl"s head and pointed at the Boss" corpse. "Keep looting – I"ll give you gold if you get something good."
The temptation of gold was just too strong. The 50 gold reward that she had just given to herself hadn"t actually increased the weight of her purse.
Remnant Dream"s face was instantly filled with disappointment.
"It"s a gold…"
To an ordinary player, Gold equipment had unimaginable strength, but no one here was going to generously reward her for it.
"Oh, the Elemental Circle. That"s pretty good," Lu Li said with admiration.
It was then that everyone else began to seriously look at its Attributes. Lu Li didn"t usually say things like that, so he must have had a good reason for doing so.
Elemental Circle (Gold): Const.i.tution +40, Fire Resistance +30%, 1 Slot, Special Effect 1: Reduces Fire Crowd Control effects by 30%. Special Effect 2: When the user"s HP is less than 10%, there is a certain chance that a s.h.i.+eld will be created that can absorb up to 1000 damage. Level Requirement: Level 50. Durability 142/142.
This was a ring, which had a lower drop rate compared to other equipment.
As such, it was already comparable to other Dark Gold equipment. If you looked at its properties, it would be difficult to miss why Lu Li had said it was good.
The 40 Const.i.tution wasn"t anything special, but the 30% Fire Resistance was.
Even if the ring had nothing other than the 30% Fire Resistance, Lu Li"s opinion would remain unchanged.
When the players reached level 60, they would be unable to continue levelling. However, they wouldn"t be complaining about this, because they simply wouldn"t have the time or energy to anyway.
Molten Core, Blackwing"s Lair, Onyxia"s lair, Temple of Ahn"Qiraj, Naxxramas…
Any one of these dungeon Bosses could easily lay waste to them, which made resistance items very valuable, particularly those that provided Fire Resistance.
He could easily sell this ring for a few hundred thousand dollars. Only the major guilds had the financial ability to purchase and use equipment like this.
The second special effect was also particularly strong. The ability to absorb 1000 damage was already very impressive.
The first special effect was useful against Fire crowd-control and was powerful in its own right. Of course, someone like Moonlight would likely prefer to reduce the crowd-control duration of Ice Skills.
"In other words, this ring can only be used against Bosses that use fire skills?" Azure Sea Breeze heard the explanation and was inevitably disappointed.
A truly strong item would be useful in all cases and would bolster the tank, no matter what the Boss was.
"If you don"t want it, then I"ll sell it," Lu Li said as he reached out his hand.
"You can have it then… wait…" Azure Sea Breeze about to give it to Lu Li but quickly changed his mind. "This isn"t right. You"re a smart guy, so this must be worth a lot of money. How much is it worth?"
"Hmph, are you going to sell it yourself?" Lu Li shook his head and raised his hands to indicate the figure.
"500,000?" Azure Sea Breeze muttered in disappointment. If the actual value was 500,000 dollars, he didn"t feel like he was losing out on much. That would be the price of an exquisite Gold equip, or perhaps even a Dark Gold equip.
"You missed a zero," Lu Li said, rolling his eyes. There was definitely something wrong with this person.
"Something is coming!" Moonlight called out.
How could there be a monster already? It had already been a few dozen seconds since they had looted the second item. Everyone was still sitting on the ground and had not yet fully regenerated their HP.
"Stop staring and go hold off the monsters."
It had been a long time, so he had forgotten some of the details. Then, he suddenly recalled that a wave of monsters would arrive soon after Ramstein the Gorger was killed.
