Chapter 364: A Million Knots In The Heart
Lin Fei’er looked at Jiang Haoxuan quietly and her eyes were fixed on his long neck.
If the carotid nerve was cut, in less than two or three minutes, Jiang Haoxuan could not be saved.
Lin Fei’er imagined that scene in her brain and her eyes were appallingly cold and gloomy.
With red eyes, there was only one thought in Lin Fei’er’s mind—that was, to kill this man.
Just when Lin Fei’er wanted to stab him, Jiang Haoxuan who had been sleeping, turned all of a sudden to reach out for the person beside him.
“An’ning, where are you…?”
Jiang Haoxuan murmured with his eyes shut and there was anxiousness in his voice.
Suddenly, Jiang Haoxuan touched Lin Fei’er and grabbed her leg at once. The irritated look on his face subsided in an instant and his smile appeared once more.
Lin Fei’er was scared out of her wits by Jiang Haoxuan’s gesture and almost thought he was awake.
Yes, after the encounter, Lin Fei’er was still afraid of this man subconsciously.
However, Jiang Haoxuan was really asleep and his smile was still contented. Anyone who saw him now would think he was having a good dream.
Lin Fei’er looked at him coldly but it didn’t lessen her aversion toward this man.
With Jiang Haoxuan’s interruption, Lin Fei’er’s intention to kill him was shaken and she was hesitant.
This man was the biological brother of Su Wan’s husband, not to mention his n.o.ble ident.i.ty.
If she were to really kill him, the Jiang family members would definitely not let go of her.
How sad would her elderly parents be by then?
Lin Fei’er’s lips were pursed into a cold straight line. Just now, she had been carried away by her anger. Now that she thought it over, she was hesitant.
It was an impulsive and instant hatred but the troubles that followed were not easy to be rid of.
The man who was dreaming didn’t know Lin Fei’er’s current dilemma. He didn’t even know he had taken one round in h.e.l.l.
Lin Fei’er slowly put down the fruit knife. She heard a soft murmur from Jiang Haoxuan.
After listening closely, it was Sheng An’ning, the white lotus’ name.
Huh, he was indeed infatuated but he was in love with the wrong person…
A sharp light flashed through Lin Fei’er’s eyes. Then, she pulled her hand away immediately.
Jiang Haoxuan, who was deeply asleep, was thinking of Sheng An’ning subconsciously. When he felt Lin Fei’er shake off his hand, he frowned at once.
Lin Fei’er’s eyes swept across Jiang Haoxuan. Her eyes were cold with a trace of disgust.
She didn’t have Stockholm’s syndrome and would not have affection toward this man who had raped her.
“An’ning, don’t go…”
Hearing Jiang Haoxuan’s broken sentence, Lin Fei’er started to think what she should do.
To Lin Fei’er, today’s encounter was too sudden and too humiliating.
Since she didn’t plan to kill him, she would regard this as being bitten by a dog and that nothing had happened.
From a rational point of view, Jiang Haoxuan had regarded her as Sheng An’ning. He was obviously unconscious.
Even when the drunkard woke up and found himself uncomfortable, he would only regard it as a dream.
How did Jiang Haoxuan appear in her room…?
Lin Fei’er recollected herself and started to check his clothes. Sure enough, she found a gold-plated room card in the pocket of his outer coat.
The room card had a VIP logo on it and it was a universal card for all floors.
Bitterness appeared in her dark eyes. If Jiang Haoxuan had not gone into the wrong room, how would she have suffered such a sin today?
Lin Fei’er shut her eyes and her bright face was pale at the moment. She clenched her hands tightly and she had a restrained look.
If she had guessed correctly, Jiang Haoxuan’s room should be the one opposite hers.
Lin Fei’er took a long sigh. She resisted the grievances and discontentment at the bottom of her heart. She put on the outer coat for Jiang Haoxuan and then put him on her shoulders as she dragged him towards the door.
Fortunately, until Lin Fei’er opened the opposite room door with the room card, Jiang Haoxuan did not wake up.
Lin Fei’er quickly threw Jiang Haoxuan onto the quilt and put the gold-plated card back into its original place. She then ran away in a flash.
After she returned to her bedroom, she could smell the smell that hadn’t gone away. Lin Fei’er’s eyes were dark and she felt like vomiting but couldn’t.
She quietly cleaned up the traces in the room and then opened the window for ventilation.
After that, Lin Fei’er buried herself in the bathroom.
A steady stream of hot water flowed through her body. She rubbed herself so hard that she almost broke her skin.
She was just disgusted being raped by a stranger but could do nothing.
She didn’t expect to encounter such a thing in her lifetime, and it was on her best friend’s wedding day.
Tomorrow morning when she woke up, she would bury everything in her heart as if nothing had happened.
Lin Fei’er didn’t know how long she had been in the bathroom. The misty water vapor floated up to her brows, curling in the small s.p.a.ce, making her face look blurry.
She looked down and her tears fell into the bathtub as they disappeared very quickly.
Lin Fei’er sighed very softly and stood up slowly. She changed into a new set of pyjamas.
The bedroom had left a psychological scar on her. Even with a new set of furniture, she would be reluctant to use it again.
The moonlight from outside the window shone into the living hall. Lin Fei’er curled up on the velvet sofa alone in her blanket.
The pet.i.te and slender body looked inexplicably lonely.
‘Go to sleep. Everything will be okay when you wake up tomorrow.’ Lin Fei’er consoled herself. Then, slowly, she went into dreamland.
That night, Lin Fei’er had a horrible nightmare. In her nightmare, someone was pressing on her and she couldn’t move.
Lin Fei’er’s breathing became more intense but no matter how she struggled, she did not wake up.
***
Lin Fei’er woke up early the next morning probably because there was a knot in her heart.
Before the sky was bright outside, Lin Fei’er walked to the window and saw the cool morning breeze blowing against the silk curtain, making swoos.h.i.+ng sounds.
She brushed off the tears at the corner of her eyes and slowly walked into the bathroom. She forced a smile on her face. Before she went home later, she would have to say goodbye to Su Wan. She couldn’t let others see her unhappiness.
Since she had decided to let go of last night’s incident, she had to really let go.
No matter what, Lin Fei’er was not an unreasonable person and would not attempt suicide because of an incident like this.
Lin Fei’er took the lift to the hotel lobby and discovered that Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng were there too.
With Lin Fei’er’s character, she should tease them about their wedding night.
However now, Lin Fei’er had lost her mood to do so. She merely greeted Su Wan smilingly.
“Good morning Wan and Young Master.”
Su Wan, who was talking to Jiang Xuecheng, waved smilingly immediately when she saw Lin Fei’er approaching.
“Fei’er, the breakfast in this hotel is very nice. Come and try it quickly!”
