Chapter 283: Who’s The One Behind This

It had not been so crowded in front of Fontainebleau for a long time. The reporters surrounded and trapped Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng in a circle.

The reporters aimed the camera at Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng. The clicks sounded louder one after another and the flashes lit up as they snapped pictures of Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng.

Su Wan’s eyes were dazzled by the flash and she felt dizzy. Her face was pale and she almost lost her footing.

Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan’s discomfort. He quickly wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

“Wan Wan, are you alright?”

Su Wan smiled weakly at him. With the help of Jiang Xuecheng, she stood still. “I’m still okay.”

Worry filled Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes. He examined her carefully before relaxing.

Su Wan had just been discharged several hours ago. Before they left Zhao Hua Hospital, the nurse had asked Su Wan to rest well these few days. However, they had not expected such thing to happen.

At the thought of the two pictures on Weibo today, a trace of gloom showed in Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes very quickly.

On the other hand, the reporters were constantly asking questions. They seemed to have been jarred and every one of them were eager to push forward, forgetting the fact that Jiang Xuecheng was not someone whom they could mess with.

Generally speaking, these reporters had a sense of propriety. They knew what questions could be asked and what questions couldn’t.

However today, the scene was like boiling water…

Jiang Xuecheng immediately suspected that among these reporters, there must be several who were likely bribed to fan the flame.

Jiang Xuecheng let down his hand which was holding Su Wan’s shoulders and raised his head suddenly. Then, he looked around at the reporters slowly.

That pair of dark and cold eyes had anger that sent chills down people’s spines.

The reporters who kept asking non-stop were all shocked by his glance in an instant. Someone in the crowd made another noise.

The fear in them quickly vanished as there were a large number of reporters. A reporter standing close to Jiang Xuecheng took the opportunity to move forward.

“Young Master, from your view, do you have something to say? Here’s the microphone.”

A sense of mockery flashed through Jiang Xuecheng’s elegant and handsome face. He took the microphone and his voice was calm.

“I just want to say I have no comments!”

His voice amplified by the microphone sounded more magnetic and breathtaking.

After throwing out that sentence coldly, Jiang Xuecheng took down his outer coat and draped it over Su Wan’s shoulders.

He carefully held Su Wan and protected her in his embrace before walking forward.

There were many reporters in front of Jiang Xuecheng but when they saw his gloomy look, they couldn’t help making way for him.

Seeing Jiang Xuecheng and Su Wan leaving, someone stomped their feet and very quickly, a group of people gathered around them again.

“Young Mater, this is such a serious matter. Are you not explaining because you’re guilty?”

“If you do not clarify this matter with the media, are you not worried that the stock price of Di Chen Group would be affected?”

The cool night breeze blew Su Wan’s hair to the back.

Jiang Xuecheng tidied her hair and turned around to look at the reporters who were chasing after him. His expression turned icy cold.

He shot a glance at the male reporter who asked him just now and suddenly caught hold of his collar.

The male reporter had never expected Jiang Xuecheng to be bold enough to do such a provocative move in public and under the focus of flashes.

There were many people taking pictures now. Wasn’t Jiang Xuecheng afraid of ruining his own image?

A layer of thin frost appeared on Jiang Xuecheng’s face. His eyes were gloomy and there was unconcealed hostility in his voice.

“What does my relations.h.i.+p with my wife have to do with you? Why do I have to explain to you?”

The male reporter’s lips moved. Just when he was about to say something, he was lifted up by Jiang Xuecheng.

Jiang Xuecheng was tall and lifting up that male reporter was like lifting up a little chick. The male reporter looked at Jiang Xuecheng who was staring at him from above. His throat moved uncontrollably.

He had to admit that some people were born with a certain aura which made people want to surrender involuntarily.

The male reporter was both shocked and frightened. Suddenly, he was extremely worried and nervous.

Was Jiang Xuecheng going to hurt him?

The male reporter’s hands trembled uncontrollably. He had no doubt that Jiang Xuecheng would throw him out.

Looking at this scene, many reporters were scared out of their wits. Several people shouted, “Young…Young Master, what you’re doing isn’t right!”

Jiang Xuecheng shot them a glance. He pursed his lips slightly and his voice was cold.

“So, are you doing the right thing? There were only two pictures on Weibo and you came chasing and blocking us, even claiming to be the embodiment of justice? Reporters have no right to infringe the privacy of others and more so, shouldn’t confuse the right with the wrong!”

As Jiang Xuecheng spoke, the hostility in his eyes grew stronger. “You’re so free to care about the family affairs of others, but why don’t I see you reporting about matters that really require attention?”

Jiang Xuecheng’s sarcastic words made everyone pale. At that tensed moment, Su Wan shook her head at Jiang Xuecheng, signaling him to let go of that male reporter.

Jiang Xuecheng snorted coldly and threw him aside. The male reporter let out a long sigh of relief. He sat on the ground and lost his mood to chase after Jiang Xuecheng.

With Jiang Xuecheng’s gesture, the reporters lost their mood to continue surrounding Jiang Xuecheng and Su Wan. All they could do was to watch as Jiang Xuecheng and Su Wan left holding hands.

Jiang Xuecheng and Su Wan’s att.i.tudes were weird. Although they had disproven the rumor about their broken relations.h.i.+p with their actions, they did not explain the two pictures on Weibo.

Were they tacitly admitting the authenticity of the pictures?

***

After Jiang Xuecheng and Su Wan returned to Fontainebleau, Su Wan saw Jiang Xuecheng sitting on the sofa. In his hands were his laptop and he was looking at today’s news.

There was no more news about Su Wan and Gu Zihang meeting secretly now that Jiang Xuecheng had removed the post of Weibo and negotiated with major mainstream media outlets. However, they still could not block the netizens from spreading and commenting.

Su Wan stood behind Jiang Xuecheng and caressed his knitted brows.

“Are you still upset with what happened just now?”

Jiang Xuecheng shook his head and replied faintly, “I’m only wondering about the one behind this, about who had published these photos.”

Although Gu Zihang was treacherous, it was impossible for him to use a tactic that would harm himself. On the other hand, Sheng An’ning, who had been restricted by Jiang Xuecheng, had stopped all her messy little doings.

Upon hearing this, Su Wan’s heart tightened. She leaned against Jiang Xuecheng’s shoulders and asked softly, “Who do you think the person is?”
