Donggun.

10:10 pm.

Donggun couldn"t sleep, he was sitting in the balcony to avoid waking Adaline up. He kept drawing Malika"s face in different directions since the moment they got back from the restaurant.

Adaline didn"t wait for him to sleep; she knew that Donggun won"t lay his body until he finishes drawing whatever stuck in his head. As he began drawing Malika"s face; he felt like he was solving a puzzle. With each piece, he finished nostalgic feeling took over his mind and heart.

He had a strong feeling that he saw her before but at the same time, Noah never showed him a picture of her. He sighed then left the balcony after he finished drawing and went inside to take a long shower to calm his busy mind.

Later.

Donggun was drying his hair by white cotton towel when suddenly he heard someone screamed in the room next to him; it was Noah"s voice screaming in pain. He immediately recognized his son"s voice and went running to his door knocking and shouting his name to open.

Noah didn"t reply he kept screaming in pain. Donggun"s loud voice woke Adaline up and she went running outside to see what was going on. "What"s wrong?!" she said loudly.

"Noah…!" Donggun pointed at Noah"s door. Adaline put her ears on the door and heard Noah"s scream. She put her hand above her heart; Noah"s screams scared her. Donggun went downstairs as fast as he could to get another key for Noah"s room. He got back with two workers and they immediately entered the room.

Noah was laying on the bed soaked in his sweat, Adaline put her hand on his head; his whole body was boiling. He was clearly unconscious, yet he was screaming in pain. Adaline checked his body trying to understand why he was screaming but every inch she touched made him scream even more.

Donggun asked the hotel employer to get him an ambulance, while Adaline went to change her clothes. Donggun held Noah"s hand in fear; he never heard his son in such pain. Noah held Donggun"s hand back and tears came out running from his closed eyes. Donggun looked at Noah and his face reaction went from worrying into terrifying.

Words in Hangul started to appear in Noah"s forearm. Donggun"s eyes were wide open; everything around him appeared in slow motion. He wasn"t hearing anything or anyone. "Donggun!!!" Adaline tapped hard on his shoulder. He looked at her in surprise. "Don"t freeze like this MOVE!" the whole room was filled with the EMS crew. Donggun was still in shock, he looked at Noah"s forearm again the words disappeared.

"Did you see that!?" Donggun said to Adaline. "His forearm…!"

Adaline checked his forearm and said, "There is nothing wrong with it!"

"I saw words appear and disappear!!" the EMS started to move Noah to get him out of the room.

"You must be hallucinating!"

"But…" Adaline followed the EMS leaving Donggun alone in the room. He kept staring at the door where they went through into the hall. In a blink of an eye, a sudden green light appeared across his scared eyes making him jump. The bright light looked like a silhouette of a human.

It got closer to his face, Donggun froze in his place not understanding what was right in front of him. The bright light went through him swiftly leaving him shaking and out of balance. He held onto the bed to regain his balance again. "Son!" he said and left the suite running.

The bright green silhouette appeared again in the room after Donggun left slowly transforming into a human body. Within the transformation slow movement; it showed the face of the human standing in the room. Noah looked confused and worried. His appearance was slightly different.

His eyes color was lighter with a tint of green and his black hair was a dark shade of brown. His arms were covered in bright green tattoos that slowly faded when his whole body revealed from the bright green silhouette. "It"s him!" Noah whispered shockingly then his body transformed back again into the bright green silhouette then faded into thin air.

11:35 pm.

As doctors and nurses walked in and out of Noah"s room, no one knew what was happening to him. Everything looked fine from multiple blood tests to full-body MRI scan, he was perfectly healthy. After a while, the doctors gave up the intense tests and gave him strong painkillers to calm him down. They tried to wake him up, but he wasn"t responding to them. One of the doctors who treated Donggun earlier walked into the room looking directly at Adaline. "Doctor, do you think it"s related to what happened earlier to his father?"

"I don"t know, Noah didn"t have a seizure, he had a fever and his screaming was like someone having his bones broken!" Adaline said and sighed. She was confused about what was happening to her son. Throughout all her career life; she was muddled for the first time with no clear answer.

The doctor checked his recent results, there was absolutely nothing wrong with him, he looked again at Adaline and asked, "Do they have any history of a specific disease?"

"No, both are completely healthy," Adaline said and eyed Noah"s resting body. The doctor asked one of his interns to check for a neurological disease that might be the answer to Noah"s mystery condition. Noah"s fever was still up but he was much calmer. Donggun was waiting outside the room thinking about his son and what he saw while Adaline was going back and forth between Noah"s room and the doctors" lounge.

December 19, 2009.

2:45 am.

Noah screamed again yet this time louder, Donggun slammed the door and saw Noah"s whole body in abnormal shades of red and forcefully shaking. Words in Hangul appeared again on his forearm while he was screaming painfully. His sweat covered the pillow beneath his head and the thin bed sheet covering his chest. His heartbeats were increasing drastically marking its way into a heart attack. Donggun ran outside to call the doctors and the nurses who suspiciously weren"t near his room.

Everyone came running when they saw Donggun panicking state before they became closer to the door Donggun heard a sudden sound of stopped heartbeats coming from the monitor. He went inside followed by everyone. They were all in shock. Noah disappeared. They looked everywhere; he vanished. "WHERE IS NOAH!?" Adaline screamed angrily when she walked into the room.

The whole staff was confused. There was no way for him to get out without them noticing. Donggun was standing in the middle of the room with fear in his eyes. He wasn"t hearing anyone"s voice only his inside his head. "Addaya…"

Adaline was shouting at the nurses to find Noah. They left the room searching for him. Donggun followed them with slower steps, his mind was spinning with infinite thoughts. He was talking in a barely heard voice. "It"s my fault…It"s my fault…"

As he was walking; his head was down, and his eyes were filled with guilt and pain. People were running to find Noah; Adaline"s angry screaming voice filled the hospital. Donggun stopped in the center of the floor right across the nurses" desks. A sudden voice called him, it felt as if the voice was inside his head. He looked at the direction of the voice and found a man standing at the end of the floor near the emergency stairs staring at him.

In a few seconds the man appeared before him, he looked deeply into his eyes. Donggun gazed. He saw those eyes before; clear empty eyes with a sharp icy stare. The man put his hand on his shoulder; his touch awakened forgotten memories and mistakes. Donggun knew how it began and how it would end, He looked at his son"s room and stopped his tears from running over his face.
