"What"s your name?"Fran asked in a neutral tone but even a blind would see flames flaring in his eyes; though none of them could think of a reason as the student"s question was completely logical and Fran has never been an unreasonable guy.
"Sir, I"m Wint Dowser."
The kid surprisingly didn"t shrink or quiver at Fran"s raging eyes; he just calmly answered.
"Okay Wint the school never promised you fairness or justice and the person who gave the Dorn card is the Dorm Keeper one of the strongest soul Cultivators of the school. So you better give respect while referring to such revered characters. Do you understand?"
Wint guts didn"t soothe Fran anger instead it was like pouring oil to burning fire he became even more furious.
"Sir, this isn"t my fault. The only thing I can make out from her appearance was that she was old and I believe calling someone her age as Old Lady is nothing disrespectful. But from here onwards, following Sir"s advice I will refer to her as Dorm Keeper."
Wint gave a steady and perfectly logical answer; which not only surprised Fran even Quinn felt accidently.
"This Kid"s courage is really out of the world but should I call it courage or idiocy?"
Quinn shook his head while admiring the show from his seat. Though he appreciated Wint"s nerve, Quinn wouldn"t agree with him as offending Fran might make one"s days in school worse than h.e.l.l.
Even though Fran a very reasonable guy, expecting rationality from a raging bull is nothing but daydreaming. But to Quinn"s astonishment Fran didn"t shower Wint with scolding or rebuke him till he submitted.
Fran just silently observed the kid who was standing like a straight pole without a hint of fear in his eyes. Then he gave a small nod before gesturing him to take his seat; though Wint was surprised, he obediently sat down with an invisible sigh. In fact, he too was expecting a round of severe scolding from his teacher.
Fran"s temper triggered the moment Wint called the Dorm keeper an Old Lady but after hearing the student"s clear answer under his flaring rage; Fran"s anger turned into admiration and he also agreed with Wint. He also decided to keep an eye on this kid as he was born to be a troublemaker.
In fact, he lost control because the Old lady was not only a powerhouse she"s also Kelly"s mother or his mother-in-law; if somehow Kelly got to know that one of his students called her mother an old lady then his days are sure to be miserable.
Not that she"s a mama baby, it"s just if her mother is an old lady them it would make her a middle-aged woman which is worse than killing her.
*sigh* "Whatever what"s done is done; hope this matter doesn"t get into her ears."
"Just remember to be respectful and humble to anyone older than you; most of the powerhouse has the habit of concealing their presence by turning into ordinary pa.s.ser-bys. And if you somehow got into the wrong page with them, then no matter how talented you are; something terrible will be waiting for you in the store.
"A dead genius is but a corpse" your potential isn"t worth a cent to those at the top as every year tons of genius pops but only a fraction of them reach the real peak."
Seeing Fran solemn completion Wint took the advice seriously and nodded after earnest consideration. Fran was satisfied with Wint"s response and the maturity he displayed. Moreover, a kid with lot of guts isn"t a bad thing.
"The Dorms are allotted based on your Body const.i.tution; those with Grade 9 or Grade 10 would be given Single-digit-dorms and students with Grade 8 will be given Double-digit-dorm, the rest of the students will be allotted Triple-digit-Dorm.
The card games you played were nothing but the Dorm number within the same tier, which is insignificant as all the dorms are identical in the same tier."
All the students were fully satisfied with the arrangement, as the "Those with strength rules" has long been ingrained deep inside them; moreover, giving resources to talented ones was a very straight logic.
But this doesn"t mean they have given up instead since they all firmly believe in strength everyone started to work harder move on to the next Dorm.
It Just so happened that Quinn"s Dorm and Tracy"s Dorm were the only Single-digit-dorms in the cla.s.s and they also formed a sort of group. Though all the kids were envious Quinn could see also a compet.i.tive spirit mixed with jealousy in their eyes.
"Now let"s get on to cultivation; as all of you have got the first taste of cultivation through these 6 months training let"s have an interactive group discussion about your opinion about cultivation from your experience...."
The rest of the cla.s.s was a somewhat boring discussion on cultivation, Quinn would answer now and then without attracting excessive attention at the same time proving his knowledge to Fran.
"Ok enough for today, let"s windup the cla.s.s. If you have any more doubt save it for tomorrow"s cla.s.s. Also the you guys are eligible to do Quests; so you can earn more credits through the Quest for further details just check your Quest sheet through School Ring. Just carefully go through the details before selecting a Quest."
Quinn was the most delighted hearing this news as credits were the only way he could get spirit stones apart from the monthly allowance but he could only save pitiful fractions of credits after Qyia"s cla.s.s. Having an extra source could ease his worry.
Fran exited the cla.s.s through the wooden door and made his way to his study. All the kids slowly dispersed one after another, Quinn and his friends along with the girls went to their dorms while gossiping about their dorms and the new Quest Sheet.
Once they returned to the dorms; they all checked the Quest Sheet to their surprise it completely empty but thanks to Butler M9 they all their disappointment vanished with delicious lunch. After having the lunch all the kids retired to their bedroom for short afternoon nap.
Since Body refining was too demanding and exhausting for these little toddlers they had to take enough rest to replenish energy for running the entire day. It"s a good thing that their school time-table also took this into consideration.
- At Fran"s Study Room -
After finishing his cla.s.s, Fran was also going to his study for an afternoon nap; unlike the kids at his realm of cultivation he could spend his n number of sleepless nights and still work all day without breaking a sweat.
This afternoon sleep was just a habit he developed to cater his laziness, and being a father for a couple of married children gives you the privilege lazing around basking in the soothing sunlight like a lethargic polar bear.
Though Fran"s still appears to be in his late-twenties, his actual age is something in centuries but his superior cultivation let him to have a young stature.
He happily opened his study door whilst coolly whistling and eagerly awaiting his comfy couch in the study. But the moment he opened the door his body refused to listen, it was like entire system shut-down; Fran froze and became like an ice statue.
