Lu Li could tell that the barbarians were setting up a trap because his psychic power pierced into the brain of a barbarian and found something.
Inside the barbarian"s brain, there was no Soul Pond but only a bead. Currently, numerous Soulfeast b.u.t.terflies were swarming towards the bead but could not enter.
Out of instinct, Lu Li felt something was off. Maybe his experience in multiple battles had given him a sharp perception. So, he yelled to warn others.
Barbarians opened their eyes just as Lu Li finished his words. Then streaks of brown light came off from them. Their horns gave out black light as their bodies enlarged a bit more. Next, all the barbarians raised their heads and roared!
"Plop~"
A disciple of the Du Family was shocked by the roar. He hugged his head with his hands and fell off. The others were holding their heads and shouting in pain as well, but since Lu Li"s warning came in a timely manner, they had fallen back a bit on their Beads of Life.
"Swish~"
With a piercing sound, a huge hammer smashed down on the Du Family warrior who couldn"t dodge and was pounded into a paste.
Many barbarians began to notice Lu Li. Their reddened eyes were filled with anger. If Jiang Hu and the others hadn"t stopped, the barbarians would have killed at least half of them, if not all.
"Boom!"
Two barbarians kicked backwards on the ground which cracked under the pressure. They rushed toward Lu Li, as if two mountains were on the move. They wanted to pound this detestable human to death.
"Clones~"
Lu Li remained collected. He shouted and the field was filled with 66 clones of Lu Li.
The barbarians were stunned. They glanced everywhere and started to smash at all the approaching clones.
"Boom, boom, boom!"
None of those was Lu Li himself, of course. The hammers ended up on the rocks and trees. Mountains collapsed, rocks shattered, and forests were damaged. Everything was in a mess.
Lu Li was flying around, keeping his distance. He kept generating more clones and moving closer to the barbarians to feel them out.
After the brown glow came off from them, barbarians sped up and their strengths increased. There seemed… to be some attacks aiming at souls contained in their roars. Otherwise, the Du Family warrior wouldn"t have fallen down with a headache.
"Their horns have special uses!"
Lu Li thought to himself. He was angry that Jiang Tianshun didn"t tell Jiang Qiling the special skills of the four alien races. The Du Family warrior could have lived.
On second thought, the small battlefield was for talents from different families to grow. If they were told everything, then fights here would be pointless. Human"s potential were infinite. The more gifted one was, the more progress one would be able to make at times of fatal danger. It should be a rule of Hall of Demon-cide to not tell warriors about alien races" special skills.
"Woo~"
Two barbarians kept roaring while the other four went to chase after Jiang Hu. Lu Li was almost immune to the roar as attacks on souls were invalid to him. All he felt was a tingling pain in his eardrums. He was not affected.
"It"s about time."
Having considered it, Lu Li decided to take the risk. The longer the fight went on, the more alien races would be lured here. By that time, Lu Li and others might really die here.
Lu Li had an idea of the barbarians" strength after several rounds of tests. The Fate Wheel under his feet span and so did all his clones. They all sped up. All the clones were circling around the two barbarians, trying to distract them.
Lu Li had his eye on the smaller one at the left which was slower. He believed that this barbarian was weaker and his attack was only as fast as those at the initial stage of n.o.ble Lord Realm.
"Whoosh~"
Lu Li controlled dozens of clones to encircle the other barbarian, getting his attention while Lu Li himself moved closer to the smaller one.
When Lu Li took out a long saber, all his clones had the addition of saber as well. While some of his clones were coming toward the smaller barbarian from the front, Lu Li circled around to his behind.
Barbarians were broad-backed. To them, Lu Li was like a lamb to a giant gorilla. He didn"t get much attention.
"Swish, swis.h.!.+"
In front of the barbarian, Lu Li"s clones were still charging with sabers in their hands and hacking forcefully. This smaller barbarian was so nervous that he was swinging his cooper hammer with one hand and the iron chain with another to smash the clones away.
Three hundred feet, 150 and 30 feet!
Lu Li made a move. His right hand that he had kept concealed in the sleeve glowed as it transformed into a beautiful silver claw. He reached to the back of the barbarian with force.
What relieved Lu Li was that—the barbarian didn"t react fast. He didn"t realize what was happening until Lu Li already scratched his back.
This meant that barbarians didn"t have a strong perception and they couldn"t distinguish Lu Li"s clones and the real person.
Lu Li was cheered up. Now, no matter how powerful those barbarians" defense were, he was confident that he could kill them. t.i.tan Race"s defense was strong as well. Meng Huo was at the peak of n.o.ble Lord Realm, but he was injured by Lu Li all the same.
"Swis.h.!.+"
Albeit there was a bit hindrance, the silver claw pierced through the barbarian"s back. With a miserable cry, the smaller barbarian"s brown skin lit up and his two horns glared in a dark color.
"Eh?"
Lu Li could sense that his silver claw was slowing down. Immediately, he released his Burning Blood Skill and reached the silver claw in with force. He had located the barbarian"s heart with psychic power already and now he wanted to crush it.
"Swish, swish~"
All of a sudden, some black electric arc appeared in between the barbarian"s horns. The electric arc spread across his entire body and then pa.s.sed onto Lu Li"s hand.
"Sh*t…"
Lu Li began to spasm uncontrollably as if he had epilepsy. He felt he was struck by lightning. His skin was burnt and so was his hair. He couldn"t stop trembling.
"Whoosh—"
The smaller barbarian swung his iron chain at Lu Li. The latter was startled. His Fate Wheel began to spin and he span along with it. The silver claw carved a hole in the barbarian"s back and Lu Li flew through it and out from his chest…
"Boom!"
The barbarian fell, stirring up dusts. Lu Li was covered in blood and his skin was all burnt. It was appalling. He was still trembling now.
"Good job, Lu Li!"
From the distance came a shout. Jiang Qiling flew out with the other three young ladies. Lu Li had not time to chat with them because the other barbarian was coming at him with rage.
"Their horns can generate thunderbolts!"
Lu Li shouted to the distance. He was wondering what those horns could do. Now he understood that they stored force of thunderbolt. He suspected that the barbarians would cultivate in thunder and lightning for refining their bodies and storing up energy.
"Lu Li, I will help you!"
Jiang Qiling yelled as she rushed over. She released her Soulfeast b.u.t.terfly Bloodline Skill at once. Lu Li noticed that her b.u.t.terflies were faster than Jiang Hu"s. When he sensed with his psychic power, he found that hers could penetrate the bead in the barbarian"s head.
"Jiang Qiling, which level are your b.u.t.terflies and Jiang Hu"s?"
While generating more clones, Lu Li asked. Jiang Qiling said with pride, "Mine are of the sixth level and that idiot Jiang Hu"s are only at the fourth."
"Good!"
Lu Li regained confidence. His clones approached the barbarian as he did again.
The barbarian didn"t move even though there were so many clones coming at him. He must have been rendered motionless by the Soulfeast b.u.t.terflies. Lu Li wasted no time and crushed the barbarian"s head with his silver claw. After a bitter cry, the barbarian"s head burst open.
