The Kings

Chapter 11

Mu Yi leaned over and pressed his mouth against mine. Slowly but gently, he bit my upper and then my lower lip. Without realizing, Mu Yi pushed me down on the sofa making us facing each other. Cupping my face with his hand, he leaned back down taking a few more free kisses. This time it wasn"t as rough compared to before. He was rather gentle with his kisses and nibbles.

It didn"t take long before he released my lips from his. With his left hand, he brought my fingers to his lips before placing a kiss on them as if they"re made out of gla.s.s.

My heart was pounding against my chest, and my cheeks flushed with a shade of pink. I was hoping Mu Yi did not notice my crazy beating heart against my chest. It has been seven years of unrequited love, I know. I thought I was over him although somewhere deep down I knew I was lying to myself. But, it was never like this before when I was expressing my love openly.

"I"ll stop. I don"t want to be slapped by you again." Mu Yi jested, releasing my fingers with both his arms up in surrender.

Right after taking advantage of me!

"Look, my cheek still hurts after being slapped." Mu Yi pouted, pointing to the cheek I had slapped. "If you give it a kiss, it might just heal."

I rolled my eyes, making sure he saw me doing it too. It has been more than five days since it lasted happen. I"m pretty sure it has healed since then. I didn"t even put in all my strength into it either. He should try my hands again in full power.

"Let"s go," Mu Yi said, grabbing his suit jacket laying on his desk.

"Where?" I had enough for one day. I wanted to go home and take a nice warm bath. I was ready for the next day where I don"t have to deal with Su Meiying anymore. I would be creating my own designs or help around with office works.

"To eat, I don"t believe you had lunch due to the little commotion downstairs?" Mu Yi grinned with an eyebrow raised.

Of course, he knew. Why wouldn"t he? Unbelievable how fast words travel around here. It was as if he had surveillance cameras attached to my body.

Seeing that I wasn"t moving, he took me by the hand and pulled me out of his office. Despite thinking he"ll be a bit more low profile. He walked out of his office holding my hands like it didn"t matter who ever saw this. Each of his employees on his floor turned to take a quick glance at us. Seems like this was a regular occurrence for them to see a woman walking out of his office.

Although, Yun Anong did not know that it was their first time seeing Mu Yi taking the lead while holding someone"s hand. Usually, Mu Yi will be walking ahead without waiting for that other woman. She"ll reach out her hand attempting to hold his hand, but he"ll always move it in time before she could touch a single piece of his clothes.

Chu Heng offered to drive like he usually would, but Mu Yi refused him. Causing it to be another wave of shock across the employees sitting nearby. The moment Mu Yi was out of sight, they began talking among themselves and spreading what they saw far and wide across the company.

It didn"t take long to arrive at the restaurant Mu Yi wanted to go to. I was expecting a fancy five-star restaurant, where Mu Yi would be spotted with other women according to the reporters. Instead, we arrived at a small restaurant with everything cooked in front of you, and you eat inside a tent next to them.

Funny thing was that I know this place because I was the one who discovered it on accident. This was a place I had always wanted Mu Yi to come with me. Unfortunately, he rejected me every time I suggested it back then.

When we arrived, Mu Yi chose a table at a corner that was secluded from everyone else. It was as if the table was put there just for him. Mu Yi quickly orders two big bowls of spicy noodles and a platter of their pork ribs. I didn"t even get a chance to voice what I wanted. Which didn"t matter because what he wanted was precisely what I had wanted as well.

The waiter didn"t bother to write down what Mu Yi had wanted. Looked like Mu Yi came here a bunch of time that they knew what he wanted.

The waiter was surprised to see that Mu Yi had brought along someone with him. He was their VIP customer who started showing up around six years ago. He"ll come in every two weeks, but they had never seen him bring anyone within those six years. So they had prepared a special dessert for Mu Yi"s special guest.

"Why did you chose this place?" I asked, looking to find some sort of clue on his face. Mu Yi always had that cold and poker face on.

Mu Yi rested his chin on his hands before flashing me a heart-stealing smile, "Because of you."
