Thank goodness the room we were in was very close to his office and in a private area. Mu Yi never liked having meetings where people can listen in, so he had this room built near his office. If you"re not part of the meeting, there should be no reason for you to loiter around this area."Chu Heng, open the doors," Mu Yi shouted, running at full speed to his office.
Chu Heng stood up from his desk, startled to see his boss carry Yun Anong half conscious back... And panicking? Did something happen again?
It took Chu Heng a second to process what was happening. Yet, his body automatically moved to open the door.
Carefully, Mu Yi laid me down on the bed and even covered me with a blanket.
"What happened to CEO Yun?" Chu Heng asked, bring Mu Yi a clean towel from the cabinet. It can"t be that his boss. .h.i.t her or anything, right? He knows his boss won"t "hit" her, but it"s possible he frightened her until she became like this.
"Chu Heng, call for a doctor!" Mu Yi roared, interrupting Chu Heng"s wild imagination of what happened when everyone left.
Mu Yi began to panic the more Yun Anong groaned in pain. Its been a long time since he last felt this way, and when he did, it was because of Yun Anong. Only she can make him feel any sort of emotions.
"No, don"t!" I gasped, clutching Mu Yi"s hand, the hand that held onto mine this whole time. I couldn"t feel any strength returning to my body at all, even after doing that.
Chu Heng stopped dialing instantly, he was one touch away from completing the phone call. When he heard the way she had ordered him to stop, it made him feel like it was coming directly from Mu Yi. So with that, Chu Heng wasn"t sure what to do next, listen to Yun Anong or his boss. Although he had a strong feeling, Yun Anong wasn"t too far away from being his boss soon.
"I-I"ll," I shuddered when a freezing coldness swept through my body. "I"ll be fine after sleeping for a bit."
Maybe. If only I had that...
"How can you be fine?" Mu Yi stroked Yun Anong"s cheeks. Then he took the towel to start wiping away the sweats on her face and neck.
"Yi, please trust me," I begged. I didn"t have much time left, I was slowly starting to lose consciousness. I don"t want this to be a bigger issue than it already is. "I"ll be fine... I promise you."
Mu Yi lifted her hand up to put it against his lip. He closed his eyes, thinking through her request before grunting an "Mmm."
Thank you, Mu Yi. I shut my eyes and drifted off to a place far away.

When I opened my eyes, I was standing outside, and it was a beautiful sunny day too. Though, I think I"m in someone backyard right now. I better leave before someone think I am transpa.s.sing on private property.
Only, why does this backyard feel so familiar?
"I finally found you."
A young boy"s voice came out of nowhere, scaring me in my track. It brought my attention towards the flower bush in the distance. It doesn"t seem like the boy was talking to me since he was talking to the... bush?
"Why don"t you tell me what happened?" The boy crouched down and reached out his hand.
Is this boy seriously talking to a flower bush? I don"t think a bush can give you a hand in return to take. Turns out I was very much mistaken, suddenly an arm came out from the bush and took his.
A girl who looked much younger than him crawled out from the bush. Honestly, how disappointing! It would have been more mind-blowing to have the bush come to life.
Also, it doesn"t appear like both of them had taken notice of me. I wasn"t close, nor was I far away from either, but I can hear everything they"re saying clearly.
"It was your stupid brother!" The girl cried, covering her eyes with the arm the boy was not holding onto.
"You shouldn"t say stupid, but what did he say?" The boy patiently consoled her, meanwhile sitting her down underneath the peach blossom tree.
"He said that I wasn"t ladylike and no one will ever marry me," the girl sniffed a few times, wiping her snots with her sleeves.
I raised an eyebrow, I can sort of see why the younger brother will say that. Still, you should get a pa.s.s since you"re just a child.
"What about me?" The boy tucked her loose hair behind her ears while plucking the twigs out of her hair. "I"ll marry you when you grow up."
"You"re lying," she muttered.
Apparently, she wasn"t entirely convinced although her tears stopped running.
"Have I ever lied to you?"
She shook her head. So the boy rummaged through his pockets and took out a pocket knife. He turned towards the peach blossom tree and began carving something on the tree.
"This tree will be proof of my promise to you," the boy smiled, pulling to stand up with him. Next, he picked up a peach blossom flower off the ground to put it in the girl"s hair. "I don"t have a ring right now, but let this flower signifies our promise."
I don"t believe the little girl truly understands what marriage meant. Still, she nodded her head in agreement.
"Now let"s go get you cleaned up," he took her by the hand again.
I quietly watched as they both walked pa.s.sed me. My feet moved by itself towards the tree they were sitting under just now. I had to crouch down to see what was engraved into the tree since the boy wasn"t that tall yet.
I traced the name with my fingers, "Mu Yi and..."
"Anong," A faint voice called out to me, "Please wake up already."
Opening my eyes, I came to face with Mu Yi still holding my hand.
Mu Yi sighed out in relief when Yun Anong had opened her eyes. If she did not wake up within the next minute, he would have taken her to the hospital.
"How are you feeling?"
"I had a dream," I dryly replied, a very pleasant one, at least. It appears to be a memory I had long forgotten about.
