"Baechu! I"m home! " I shout eagerly with a package in hand.Hearing no response, I a.s.sume she"s not here yet. Kicking off my shoes into the shoe rack I put on a pair of indoor slippers.
When I make my way to the lounge, I"m pleasantly surprised to find a little visitor asleep on the couch.
Her upper body is faced down with her face leaving a deep impression on the couch cus.h.i.+on. While her knees are squished underneath thus making it appear like her legs have disappeared.
Taking a seat in front of her I can hear her stable breathing and use my hand to brush some of the loose strands from her eyes.
She"s still her casual active wear, so her body is a little sweaty not that I mind her natural smell. She probably just came back from practice and was too tired to even move.
In my heart, I can"t help but feel a little guilty, I haven"t been taking proper care of her since shooting began instead I"ve been relying on my momrene alot.
Kissing her softly on her forehead, I mutter to no-one in particular "You had a long day, huh"
After enjoying this adorable view for a couple of precious moments, I place the package of macaroons on the kitchen counter.
I roll up my sleeves, pour me a gla.s.s of white wine and begin cooking.
After was.h.i.+ng my hands, I make my way to the cupboard and begin procuring the requisite ingredients.

Stage one accomplished.
Tonight, I"ll be teaching you how to cook one of the most iconic dishes in Movie history, my dear readers. Spaghetti!
Many think of it as romantic because spaghetti is often a.s.sociated with that famous kiss scene from The Lady and The Tramp.
And in my personal opinion I think The Lady and The Tramp had it right, nothing says I love you more than carbs and bacon.
What I will be teaching you all to make today is, spaghetti carbonara, a spaghetti dish with bacon and a creamy sauce made from eggs and cheese.
To make spaghetti carbonara, you fry up some bacon with onion and garlic while you wait for the pasta to cook. Once the noodles are done, toss them in the bacon mixture then stir in the egg and cheese. Garnish with black pepper and parsley then serve
In an ideal world, it"s important to use the best ingredients because spaghetti carbonara has a straight-forward ingredient list. For example, you"d want to use fresh Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and not grated cheese from the green can.
However, I made this several times in my past life, with the green can cheese, so if your budget is tight, no judgment here.
To make the carbonara sauce, you whisk together a whole egg with the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese. Then you gently and quickly toss it with the spaghetti. The residual heat is enough to cook the raw egg, but you must work quickly before it accidentally scrambles.
The egg makes the sauce creamy without using heavy whipping cream. When I first learned how to make this dish, I did use cream, which is apparently frowned upon in the culinary world.
Shout to the food channel! You the real MVP!
Anyway it only takes 30 minutes to make, so its simple and easy.
As I"m taking the dish of the heat. With a canine"s sense of smell, Irene has woken up at a perfect time for the meal.
Rubbing he sleep for her eyes, while stretching a bit to loosen her muscles she says, "Dylan what did you make?" As she drags her fingers through her hair in an effort to undo all the tangles and knots which sleep had caused grimacing as if it were an ordeal
"Pasta," I reply, "I made pasta my little birds nest"
She rolls her eyes at me, "If this is bad, you should see me in the morning"
"I know! that thick raven head of hair of yours nearly killed me in my sleep" I say outloud but when I think about her wild and untamed look when mixed with firm, lithe body and the smooth satiny sheen of her skin. My soldier stands upright in attention. (ehehe)
"Go wash your hands then come to the table." I order
With a little hop to her step she makes her way to the sink where she not only washes her hands, but also cleans the dishes.
"Hey! I never told you to clean the dishes, I"ll do that later"
"I"m here anyway" She logically replies.
Letting her just have her way, I make my way to wine stand and take out the bottle of wine to pair with our meal. (A quick google search later) I take out the bottle of Sicilian Chardonnay. Chardonnay wines are really hard to pin down, primarily because there"s so much variety in taste. Personally I prefer a sweetish blend with a light taste over a sour, headier one. No matter which you find yourself enjoying, they are always robust wines with a lot of power to pack. And when you consider we"re talking Italian food, it only makes sense to choose a Sicilian Chardonnay.
After plating the pasta into a bowl for us to share from and laying out smaller plates for us to eat from. I pour a gla.s.s for each of us the deliciously aroma"d wine.
The reality of the quasi romantic dinner, is however not romantic at all. Irene in her sweats sitting comfortably crossed legs on the chair, with BoA"s music livening up the situation in the background. We are discussing our days and having a blast while talking about the mundane.
Honestly, I wouldn"t have it any other way. Chopin is beautiful and all but discussing geo-politics and candlelight dinners are not really "OUR" thing. Don"t get me wrong its not a bad idea to get dressed up and do something special every now and then but I much rather prefer little diners like this.
Food full of love. It doesn"t matter if you"re eating cheapskate sausages or a pricey bit of steak, innate comfort and an uninterrupted flow of stimulating conversation is priceless
