Jagger shrieked in delight. "Yesss! Thank you again, brother. You made me so happy today!"Roden sighed. He stood up and faced the wall of the bedchamber. He began chanting the incantation in an audible voice...suddenly...a wooden door materialize from the wall that was never there before. "You go inside and rest for a while, I will bring your dinner later..." he said.
Jagger picked up his meager belongings which only consist of the bundle and the bottle and went inside the secret door, he uttered his request before the closes. "Brother, for dinner, it will be human dishes for me...I prefer a slice of roast meat and rice, only if it"s available if there is none then anything would suffice," he said.
"Okay, I got it!" Roden nodded his head. He then chanted a magic spell preventing the door from being opened from the inside and outside, only him has the sole authority and power to open it.
He was facing back and forth inside his bedchamber, pondering his decision.
Tonight before he will close his eyes to sleep, he needs to decide wisely what will be his best recourse. If he will help his brother all the way...sooner or later he will be facing the King and his men and it"s going to be a b.l.o.o.d.y war unless he will be successful in concealing the Crossbred"s scent one hundred percent.
Still, that is a 50/50 chance.
Scratching his beard in total distress, Roden keeps sighing, within the next thirty minutes he goes on contemplating what to do next.
He needs to weight down his decision not only for the sake of his family but also for the remaining savage vampire clan under his wing.
Roden exited the bedchamber to find his wife and children, then he will visit the kitchen later where humans are preparing their foods.
...
Back in the secret room.
Jagger was lying in the wooden bed, staring happily at Jessy"s sleeping form inside the bottle which he placed above his stomach.
"Finally, you are going to be mine, Jess!" he whispered.
He looked around the room which is very much bare, the only furniture inside was the wooden bed and a small table. It"s good enough for two people. He would be contented living in this room with his wife in the meantime.
In his mind, he was already planning their simple wedding which will be officiated by his brother, Roden, the leader of their clan.
He would ask his brother that after he erased Jessy"s memory, the wedding would take place the next day. He just wants a simple wedding and his brother bestowing his blessing on his marriage with Jessy is more than enough for him.
He can"t wait to start living a blissful married life with the woman he loves so much. He put the bottle in the wooden table and closed his eyes in resting mode.
...
A few hours later.
Nighttime.
Roden entered the kitchen of the humans living quarters guarded by savage vampire guards, three women were preparing human foods in the makeshift kitchen silently, he approached the table. He can feel their heated stare behind his back, filled with contempt and fear. He sighed, he can"t blame them.
Although it was against his will, he resorted to abducting humans about one hundred of them to become their permanent blood source just to survive each day. He made makeshift rooms housing four-person each. He separated the men"s living quarters from the women. They have their toilet. He allowed the men and women to take a bath in the stream nearby once every two days accompanied by the guards. He was trying his best to make the life of every human captive a bit bearable inside the cave and treat them as humanely as possible without hurting them physically since they were their blood donors.
If only his father and his men didn"t brutally kill humans, the anti-vampire vaccine would have not been created. Gone are the days that they can suck blood on their unsuspecting victims freely any time of the night by visiting the mortals" houses while they were sleeping, then suck enough blood and just leave quietly after getting their fill without killing anyone.
Roden admitted to himself that his father and his men went beyond the limit and killed humans savagely, thus resulting in the mortals" creating the anti-vampire vaccine to protect themselves.
It was chaos back then...bad things happened at once but the damage was long-lasting and all vampires suffered terribly.
War with the King and his men...
The slaughter that ensued.
War with the human beings who hunted them and then many savage vampires died because of the anti-vampire vaccine.
It was the darkest time of the vampires" history, it was all due to his father"s savage nature, he only thought of humans as food and ma.s.sacre them without mercy.
Now they become the hunted, trapped underground in the cave, barely surviving.
He already loses hope a long time ago. They will all perish to nothingness sooner or later.
The only things that kept him going every day are the thoughts of his family"s safety and the surviving vampires well being under his leadership.
Now he can only see thick darkness looming ahead because of his brother"s doing.
He needs to decide wisely.
Roden saw few dishes in the table, he took some human foods and placed them in the banana leaves, they were just the usual fish, rice and vegetable dishes regularly consumed by humans. He exited the kitchen and brought the food to his brother in the secret room.

While in the Facility.
Sarah was puzzled why her daughter did not show up in the canteen for dinner. She went to the clinic and asked the doctor about Jessy"s whereabouts.
"Doctor, have you seen my daughter?" she asked.
The doctor was shaking his head. "No. Jessy did not come here the whole afternoon. I was thinking she has important errands outside," he answered, his brows snapped together.
"Okay, thank you, Doc. I will check her room," Sarah left the room in a hurry.
A minute later.
She opened Jessy"s room with her spare key. There"s no one inside the room!
She"s starting to feel uneasy about her daughter"s sudden disappearance. She needs to tell the royal family about her missing daughter. Sarah exited the room and went to the queen"s study room, her heart was beating rapidly in her rib cage.
Inside the study room.
"My Queen...I just want to ask if you see Jessy this afternoon?" Sarah asked worriedly.
"Huh? Why? I have not seen your daughter today. Did you already visit the clinic?" Queen Margaret looked at Sarah, frowning.
"The doctor told me that Jessy didn"t report to the clinic the whole afternoon. The last time we see each other was during lunchtime time, we eat together in the canteen. After that, I have no idea where she goes. She always goes back to the clinic after lunch," Sarah explained.
A line appeared between Queen Margaret"s brows. "Hmm...where could she be at this time?"
After a few minutes of silence. The queen rose to her feet. "Sarah, I will go to the city to see my son Adam, I will check if Jessy is there...please don"t worry, okay? I will inform you right away after I come back from the city. Don"t worry we will find her!"
Sarah nodded her head. "Thank you, my Queen. I will go now and wait for your news in my room," she slowly walked towards the door and exited the study room feeling a bit relieved.
Queen Margaret closed her eyes and initiated the teleportation process in her mind.
A few seconds later, she landed in the living room of her son"s condo unit.
