Jessy lies down on the clinic bed undergoing her second blood transfusion for the day. Her mind wanders into the treehouse thinking of Jagger. Before she will visit him tonight, she plans to buy some stuff for him so that his transformation from being a vampire into a mortal being won"t be so difficult. It"s the least she can do for him.
She will be going grocery shopping for Jagger, just some basic stuff for him to survive well in the jungle. She already made a mental list in her mind while thinking of other items she needed to buy later.
After seven days she will no longer appear in front of him in her visible form wanting to honor his request to get rid of her. But she will keep visiting him and monitor his activities from time to time in her invisible form. Sooner or later, if he will finally get bored of his isolation and decided to go back to his brother she can follow him on his journey without him knowing of her spying.
Then her mind suddenly switches back to Leo and the memories of last night...the kind of aggression that the boys did to Leo last night might trigger the murderer in him. Leo might kill again! That two boys should not return to The Rabbi"s Manor or else they might trigger the killer that was lying dormant beneath Leo"s calm demeanor.
Trouble was seeking Leo out!
She can no longer wait for the 6th day, she will have to bring Leo to the police station tomorrow night! Ah, she can not bring him physically to the police precinct and declare he was a murderer without evidence...she will have to bring the police authorities into the Rabbi"s Manor so that they can see the evidence hidden in the bas.e.m.e.nt and arrest Leo on the spot.
She may be plotting against Leo"s back but she does it with a heavy heart, "coz part of her wants to leave him alone.
Lately, she had undergone many heartbreaks dealing with the complexities of human"s lives, she learned a lot, everything that she encountered so far was an eye-opener for someone like her who grew up in a sheltered life inside the mansion"s walls. This is what the queen has been telling her about, to not become involved with people"s lives, but she can"t remain detached to the people around her. One way or another she will be able to influence their lives and be affected by their lives as well.
There"s more to life outside her sheltered world... and right now she"s in the middle of it...and taking it all in stride learning from her experiences one step at a time.
After she"s done with Leo, she can now concentrate on the next guy to be sent home.
Two hours later.
Jessy was out of the clinic to do personal errands in the city.
Ah, she might as well drop by in Adam"s condo unit to see him.
She initiated the teleportation process in her mind... a minute later she landed in Adam"s empty room.
He was not in the bathroom either.
Where is he?
Hmm, he"s probably outside. She exited the bedroom and checked the living room, the terrace, and the kitchen area as well but Adam and Caden where nowhere to be seen. They were probably honoring a commitment outside. She went out of the unit, entered the elevator and pressed the ground floor b.u.t.ton, once she reached the ground she walked towards the entrance and boarded a taxi cab going to the nearest department store.
One hour later.
Jessy exited the store, carrying two shopping bags and flagged a taxi going back to Adam"s place in the condominium townhouse. When she arrived in the condo, no one"s there. She spends her time watching random shows on TV in the living room waiting for Adam"s return. Thirty minutes went by so fast, deciding not to wait for him anymore... she teleported back into her room in the Facility.
After dropping her grocery bags in her room, she changed her clothes, exited the room and went to the clinic to resume blood transfusion.
Two hours later.
After the blood transfusion, Jessy exited the clinic and went to her mother"s office holding a small paper bag in her right hand.
"Mom, I have a present for you! Guess what"s inside—?" she said in a jubilant mood, holding the paper bag higher.
Sarah"s face sparkled with excitement. "What is it, daughter? Let me see!"
Jessy decided not to torture her mother anymore with the guessing game. "Here! Tada!" She pulled out two packs of roasted cashew nuts weighing five hundred grams each.
"OMG! It"s my favorite nuts! Do you know how nutritious cashew nuts are, daughter?" Sarah said.
Jessy shook her head. "Please inform me, Mom," she said eager to hear something new today.
"Cashew nuts have many health benefits. It prevents cancer, lowers high blood pressure, prevents gallstones, prevents muscular degeneration, promotes healthy heart, a good anti-oxidant, helps in digestion and helps in weight loss, high in vitamins, helps maintain healthy gums and teeth. It can make your bones and nerves healthy. It can also provide a pleasant sleep and many other health benefits," Sarah explained while opening the pack and popping some cashew nuts into her mouth.
"Wow, so many health benefits! It looks like one of the superfoods out there. So cashew nuts are healthier than pizza?" Jessy asked.
"Yes of course! But then I love pizza especially if it"s garnished with vegetables," Sarah grinned. She went back to her office table and picked up something from the drawer. "Here, I also have a present for you! It"s from your father...I mentioned to him about your dilemma and he doesn"t want his daughter to worry about anything else...I hope this helps," she said.
Jessy accepted the pouch, she opened it and took a peek inside, she saw shiny glittering stones. "Wow! Gold nuggets! Thank you so much, Mom!" she throws her mother a dazzling smile. "I will personally thank father, later."
Sarah placed the cashew nuts in the table and took the pouch of gold from her daughter"s hands and put it back in the drawer. "Let"s eat dinner first in the canteen..."
"Okay, let"s go!" Jessy replied and linked her arms with her mother.
The women exited the room and ambled towards the canteen that was located a few meters away from the office.
