Jessy linked her arms with her mother"s and they walked towards the canteen wearing a pleasant smile on their faces.Inside the canteen, after putting foods in their tray...they settled comfortably into their favorite table and talked animatedly about the world and local news dominating the headlines.
Sarah"s face turned gloomy after a while.
Jessy saw the worry on her mother"s face. "What"s wrong, Mom?" she asked.
"The current war happening between countries...the tension between leaders are being tested once in a while...some experts believe it can escalate to World War 3..." Sarah said.
"It"s not going to happen, Mom," Jessy tried to pacify her mother"s fears.
"Well...I"m just hoping it won"t come to that terrifying end...the majority of the world"s population is already struggling to survive with their problems and a major war is the last thing they want to entertain in their minds," Sarah expressed her fears.
"Don"t worry, Mom. If World War 3 is unavoidable...I will protect the Facility and the Habitat until my last breath," she a.s.sured her.
Sarah tears up a little. "I don"t want any world war again daughter. I"ve been a survivor of World War 2 and you have no idea how horrifying the experiences I"ve been through just to survive in that war. Millions of people died of bombs, hunger, starvation, and cruelty left and right. You have no idea how traumatic it is for the survivors to be reminded by those horrors which were considered as one of the darkest times of human history. Because of that war, I lose my family and my relatives. It"s something that I don"t want to suffer again..." she said with a trembling voice.
Jessy rubs her mother"s back. "Calm down, Mom. It won"t happen in the present times..." she a.s.sured her again. But deep inside she doubted her own words. If there are random stabbing and bombing of public places, as well as terrorist attacks happening all over the world...it would only take several lunatic minds of world leaders to start World War 3 again...that"s how easy it is. If the majority of men are naturally good-natured and shunned violence and conflicts in all forms, there are also bad men loitering around in the streets...and some of them have brilliant minds occupying higher offices as a public leader in every country.
Bad men do exist just like evil world leaders in the past.
Some silent leaders are living a dual life of goodness and evilness inside...She was wondering what can trigger their l.u.s.t for war, power, brutality, and cruelty?
When these types of leaders wake up and unleashed destruction on earth?
"It"s just a matter of time"...a tiny voice echoed in her mind.
While munching on their pancake, the mother and daughter duo were both preoccupied with their thoughts running rampant on their heads.
Sarah was transported back to her memories of the dark times of World War 2...
While Jessy got several questions running in her mind.
If World War 3 will finally come true...what she"s going to do?
What can she do?

Seventeen hours later.
Jessy was done with the last blood transfusion for the day. She excited the clinic and proceed to the human"s living quarters.
After opening the door, she smiled at the couple, Perry and Hazel. "h.e.l.lo, guys! It"s now time for Perry to go home, Hazel...you and your son will go home next week...we can only allow one human to go home one at a time per week, I"m sorry about this setup," Jessy apologizes.
Hazel smiled.
"No need to apologize, Ma"am Jess. We were very thankful for your genuine kindness in saving us from the savage vampires and accommodating us here, providing us daily foods for our daily sustenance, it"s more than enough for us," Hazel said.
"Ma"am Jess, thank you so much from the bottom of our heart," the couple said in unison.
"Nah, don"t mention it! I"m happy to help you guys," Jessy"s smile never wavered. "I will wait outside, you can say your goodbyes and your promises to each other, one last time," she said and exited the door.
A few minutes later, Perry walked out of the room. "Let"s go, Ma"am Jess!" he said, his eyes twinkling with excitement.
"Okay..." Jessy responded.
They walked in the deserted hallway and arrived at the study room, the queen was already waiting inside, sitting on the sofa, reading a book. Queen Margaret put down the book in the center table then her gaze landed on the newcomer"s faces. She smiled at the guy standing beside Jessy.
"Good evening, my Queen!" Perry bowed his head as greeting and respect for the queen.
"Good evening to you, Perry!" the queen responded smiling at him. "Have a seat first..." then she looked at her daughter-in-law.
Jessy stared at Perry and froze him instantly the moment he settled comfortably on the sofa. "Done freezing him, Mother," said Jessy to her mother-in-law.
"Good, I will start erasing his memory of the abduction..." the queen said. Queen Margaret went to Perry"s side and placed her hands on the guy"s head and began the process of erasing his memory of the abduction.
Jessy exited the study room quietly heading to her room.
One hour later, she returned to the study room, just in time to see the Queen already resting on the sofa after erasing Perry"s memory of the abduction.
"I"m done, Jess. You can now send Perry home," Queen Margaret rose to her feet and ambled towards the door.
"Ah, Mother. How about the baby? What are we going to do about the baby?" Jessy asked.
"Let"s discuss the baby"s well being next week," Queen Margaret said and proceed to exit the room.
Jessy went to Perry"s side and hold his arms, then she made the two of them invisible, she initiated the teleportation in her mind.
A few minutes later, they landed in the dark alley near the Res...o...b..r.
Jessy made Perry visible and then unfreeze him.
Perry"s body moves, blinking his eyes twice, he roamed his eyes around the dark alley, his brows knitted together in confusion. "Where the h.e.l.l I am?" he scratches his head in confusion. "What I"m doing in this dark alley?" he started walking and departed from the dark place, he advances towards the direction of the bar just a few meters away.
Jessy hovered above him and only left his side after he disappeared inside the door of the Res...o...b..r. "You"re home at last, Perry! Welcome home!" she murmured to herself.
Done with her job, Jessy teleported back into her room in the Facility, looking forward to retiring for the evening.
