I woke up in the back courtyard sitting on a chair. It was nighttime. All around me, the disciples of Richard and Richard himself were sitting around a campfire.Richard turned to me smiling. Freya was struggling between hitting me in the face, and it would be painful not like Tulip"s, and sighing from relief - mostly because I"ll stop destroying her working room, but no, not of me regaining my sanity.
"Right now", she said, "I don"t know whether to punch you for destroying my room several times, or to hug you because you survived the mutation".
"Sorry about the room, though I don"t remember a thing", I apologized.
"Glad you survived my attacks kiddo", Richard clapped my back, "but I would like it more if I hadn"t had to turn to a phoenix every night".
"Look, all of you, don"t blame me on something I don"t remember ", I joked.
They all burst out laughing, well except for Fárbauti. It felt good to be between them.
"Okay. Stop jocking around now", Richard said, "How do you feel?"
"I am still in a shock about what happened to my body, eyes and hair. There is also that burning sensation that happened to the second time".
"What burning sensation?"
"I don"t know, it was the cause of my fainting last time".
"A symbol of an eye appeared on his forehead yesterday when he pa.s.sed out. It glowed with a bright yellow light", Tulip said suddenly. She said yesterday, at least it wasn"t for two weeks.
"Please don"t let it be what I am thinking of", Richard said.
Mimir"s expression varied between shock and concern. He addressed Richard, "Is it really that mark? No it couldn"t be".
"I am afraid so, Mimir. Though it would be better if I am wrong".
"What the h.e.l.l the two of you are talking about?", I asked cutting the conversation between the two.
Richard turned to me and asked, "Do you know why Horus"s symbol was an eye?"
"It was believed to bring protection and peace to anyone that hold the symbol, right?"
"For the people, it was a symbol of protection. But for Horus, it was a curse".
"Why?"
"Horus had the bloodline of Pangu, the creator", Mimir said, "Before his death, Pangu created an uncompleted spell and called it "The Divine Eye". This spell was a burden to the ones that had his blood. It consumed their lives and let them live in eternal torment".
"But it can also give unlimited power",Richard said.
"So I have the bloodline of Pangu?", I asked hoping that they were setting some sort of prank and that I wasn"t cursed. Richard just nodded his head.
"Everyone that haved gained the blood of the creator have the divine eye for the first time. It is confirmed when it appears for more than one time. Please don"t tell me it have happened for more than one time".
"The first time I felt my forehead burning was at the time of my transformation. But at that time it was all my body burning. I can"t tell".
Richard sighed, "Let"s hope that it happened for only one time. Anyway, have you noticed that your cultivation has increased?"
"What are you talking about?", I checked my cultivation and.... The second level of divinity. I knew now why I could sense my soul, while I couldn"t previously.
"How is that even possible?", I asked Richard. I was fast yes, but not this fast!
"Yeah, even I am surprised by this. But don"t worry, it is a good thing".
Instantly, my left hand burned and Nordic runes appeared as a bracelet tattoo:
ᚺᚨᛋᚨᚾ
My name: Hasan. And under the ᚺ rune appeared another one, the rune of water, Lagiz:
ᛚ
As for my right hand, the runes were of my surname, also in the form of a bracelet :
ᚨᚹᚨᛞᚨ
And under it was Wunjo, the rune of wind:
ᚹ
Also, my chest was also burning. I took of my clothes until I was bare chested. The norse rune of ice, Isa, appeared at the middle :
ᛁ
The Earth trembled under our feet. I turned toward the others and saw the looks of astonishment on their faces. And then one after the other, dropped to one knee, a hand behind the back, and another in front of their abdomen.
They said in one voice, "Hail Hasan Awada, the Lord of Ice, Water, and Wind"
Not only them, but I saw all the people in the chaosverse bowing and saying the same words. Even Odin, the current king of the Norse, bowed respectfully. My expression varied from astonishment, shock, fear, panick, and pride.
However, only one man didn"t bow, he smiled at me and said in Arabic, my mother language, "I will be waiting for you, don"t disappoint me".
