Qin Fuhua huddled his head closer to Suyin, causing her face to turn red. She didn"t know what to do since he was acting this way."Someone is here. Don"t move." He softly whispered in her ears, his breath warm towards her ear.
The door flew open with a person covered in black pulled an arrow towards Qin Fuhua and Suyin. Suyin was about to let out a shriek when Qin Fuhua braced her body and rolled her on the bed, ruining the bedsheets as the two turned to evade the arrow.
Qin Fuhua flicked out three kunai daggers to the masked man who flew off as one of them slit the right side of his arm.
Qin Fuhua gently let go of Suyin"s waist, seized the arrow, and ran out of the room, only to see the man dressed in black clothes disappear.
Because Qin Fuhua and Suyin had made a mess and ruckus, the servant only reached halfway in the corridors when he spotted Qin Fuhua out of his room, with his robe loosened and Suyin on the bed with a messy hair.
"Ehehe... I thought something bad had happened. I"ll just go back to bed now." The servant laughed, shuffling back to his room.
"N-Nothing happened!" Suyin roared in defense, fixing her hair.
Qin Fuhua walked back into the room, rubbing the temple of his head with his index and thumb. Suyin scowled at him, puckering her lips. She lifted the bedsheets to cover herself, confused by his bold act.
"Ahem. How did you know that someone was there?" Suyin tried to play it cool, covering half of her face with the blanket with her eyes only shown to him. Qin Fuhua did not reply and managed to sit on the bed next to her.
"Upon arriving home, I noticed something was off." Qin Fuhua turned his head to Suyin, "Did you do something?"
Suyin could only give him a laugh, "Eh heh heh... I kind of... snuck out to explore." She grumbled, "Come on, you didn"t let me out, so of course I"m going to find a way!" She added on.
She hesitated and moderately glimpsed at Qin Fuhua, in case he gave her his typical gloomy and irritated glare, but she could see that his face was still flushed from his flawless skin. Was Qin Fuhua really okay at the moment? She could still smell the alcohol hindering from him, which made her feel concerned.
Suyin let her guard down and dropped the bedsheets, observing him. It appeared that he was having a headache. Was that the reason why he snuggled his head in with Suyin?
Suyin got out of the bed and poured a cup of cold tea (because it was in the room for too long) and turned around to Qin Fuhua and handed him the drink.
"Here, drink this." Suyin delivered the cup of tea to him. Qin Fuhua took the cup of tea and gulped it, wiping off some that fell to the side of his lip. Suyin turned to pour some more drinks but was stopped by the grip of his hand, clutching onto her wrist.
She shifted her attention back to him and stayed.
Qin Fuhua was sitting on the bed while Suyin stood up next to him, unable to move because he tenderly held her wrist.
"Are... you okay?" Suyin turned around to him and tried to examine his face, but Qin Fuhua placed his head (and whole weight) on Suyin"s stomach.
"W-Woah!" Suyin held onto him, barely able to keep him up since he was heavier than her. She carefully pushed him down on the bed and was about to leave when he abruptly put his arms around her, making her unable to move as she laid on the bed with him.
"Hey, you!" Suyin poked his head and body, but there was no response to her poking. "Wake up. I didn"t plan to sleep here with you." She groaned, trying to move his body away from her but failed to do so.

It was about six in the morning. A small little bird chirped on the little tree in front of the room that Qin Fuhua and Suyin slept in.
Qin Fuhua was already awake, slipping on a new robe after a bath. His head was pounding in pain from the day before because of what had happened.
--------------------------------------
*The day before*
-Qin Fuhua"s POV-
As soon as they arrived in Liaoping, he dropped off Suyin to his manor so that he could properly investigate who had the key in their possession.
***********
"Young sir?....Sir?" The waiter had to call Qin Fuhua"s name a couple of times before he snapped out of his daze.
"Ah yes? I apologize."
It wasn"t possible that he saw someone who looked like Suyin outside of the entrance of the door walking down the road. He shrugged it off once the waiter asked him what he wanted to order.
Qin Fuhua was supposed to have dinner with a man from a n.o.ble family. He (Qin Fuhua) was told by one of his personal soldiers that the person knew where he had seen the key, and at this moment, he was the only source that could lead them to the person holding it.
"AHAHAHA! NO WORRIES, I WILL BUY YOU EVERYTHING YOU WANT!" A man"s roar cried out.
The man was wearing a golden silk robe with two women on each side of his arms, bursting in the restaurant as if he owned the place. His belly was round just like his face and his domineering behavior didn"t help his att.i.tude.
They giggled and teased him by gently patting him with his long, grey beard. The two ladies carried the scent of hunger for his money: golden rings on their fingers, golden hairpin, and pieces of delicate jewelry on their hair with the indulgence and desire through their deceitful eyes.
"Ah, there you are!" The man raised his right arm towards Qin Fuhua"s way. He strolled with the girls to the table, sitting on the chair right next to Qin Fuhua with his two ladies, who were too busy glossing him up with affection.
Qin Fuhua was unimpressed at how lousy this person was, but if it was the only way for him to find information about the key, this was the only hope.
"My *Huaban, wait for me okay? Take my money and go buy whatever you do with it" He took out a stack of paper money and handed it to the two ladies. Their eyes lit at the sight of money and happily seized it from him, both kissing his cheeks before the two exited out from the restaurant.
[*At this part, he is referring them to "flower petals." I didn"t want to use the word "flower" since it would have sounded awkward and there are two of them that sticks to him like glue, hence his flower petals.]
"Well then! I have been called in here for something important, isn"t that right?" The man finally noticed Qin Fuhua"s presence, who had no ambition to get near the man beside the information that was needed to know where to go next.
"Why don"t we start with some rice wine for a toast for getting to know each other like brothers?" Qin Fuhua lit a small smile to fool the man. The two were acquaintances who were both well-known in the city. Although the name "Tienzheng" wasn"t as large as the man"s wealth in the city, they knew each other from their status (One, a scholar and another a wealth).
Qin Fuhua decided to set up a "friendship/brotherhood acknowledgment" with the man in order to figure who had the key. If it wasn"t for the big reputation of the man"s desire for women in his life, Qin Fuhua would avoid this hedgehog.
"I, Meng Jianhong, will toast with you as an alliance of a brother." He announced, flinging his cup of rice wine to Qin Fuhua as he raised his up. Small drips spilled out from the impact, but Jianhong gulped the rice wine down. "More!" He called out, sticking out his empty cup to Qin Fuhua.
During the whole time, it was Qin Fuhua"s plan to make the hedgehog (Jianhong) drunk so that he could question the man with no suspicion. First, he was well known to fall head over heels with any girls that he confronted, and second of all, he was the worst drunkard ever. Whenever he started to get drunk, he would blurt and answer any questions that would be asked, whether or not it is directed to him.
Hours pa.s.sed on between the two. The hedgehog was so intoxicated, he had blurted out every possible answer that Qin Fuhua would ask him. Of course, Meng Jianhong commanded Qin Fuhua to drink also, but the man watched how much he drank opposed to Jianhong.
"Do you possibly know where a key shaped like a rose is located?" Qin Fuhua let out the answer after validating the man was drunk and gone. Jianhong was blabbering a couple of words, slouching on the table as he demanded Qin Fuhua for another drink, like a "man he is." Qin Fuhua poured another cup to him carefully.
"I don"t remember!" Jianhong answered, taking another gulp of rice wine. "Oh! Haha. There was a *Hua that I found so delicate, oooh." He shriveled up his body with a pleasant grimace on his face, "Psh. Unfortunately, she had a burn scar on her arm, so that was what made me stop going for her."
[*Hua in terms of calling her a "flower" since he hasn"t gotten the chance to chase after her yet.]
Qin Fuhua modestly listened, eating rice with his chopsticks.
"Oh! Ahaha! That"s right!" He clapped his hands, "That Hua... uhh... I actually went after her even when I saw that scar, but it seems as if she had returned from a long journey somewhere because she dropped a flower and looked tired. I picked it up and returned it to her... but that flower she plucked didn"t even feel like a flower at all!"
Qin Fuhua halted and leaned ahead, "Do you know where did you see her at? That "Hua" of yours sounds intriguing enough for me to be interested too." Qin Fuhua commented, trying to locate where the person was at.
"Of course! It"s at....ahaha... I remember b.u.mping into her at the shopping district near here!" Qin Fuhua gave a smirk.
Although Qin Fuhua didn"t drink as much as the hedgehog, he still was feeling buzzed and tipsy from all of the drinking he had to do with him.
From the grin to an expression of exhaustion on Qin Fuhua"s face, he rubbed his face, "Ge, I have to go throw up. I will pay for the expenses and need to hurry home. It"s not a good sight to have others see me vomit." Qin Fuhua fumbled, rubbing his head.
"NONSENSE! Ge will pay for this! I have so much money, this is so little! Ahaha!!" The man laughed to himself as Qin Fuhua excused himself to leave.
Moments later, Qin Fuhua arrived home at night time to hear the sound of someone running through the tile rooftop near Suyin"s room. Although Qin Fuhua was buzzed, he was conscious the whole time, putting an act of "drunkness" to Suyin so she wouldn"t be scared of someone barging into the room for her.
Even if Qin Fuhua put up an act, the words that he shouted was truly from the bottom of his heart, ignited with jealousy from the gestures of the Prince of Long the day that he stood behind the crowds and watched in Jiaoshu.
-------------------------
"Mmmnn!" Suyin stretched her arms and legs from the bed, comfortable from her sleep the night before. She yawned, covering her mouth until she remembered what had happened the night before.
"Don"t you dare smile at another man!"
Suyin darted up with her messy hair, after recalling what happened the night before. She was resting with Qin Fuhua the night before because he was on top of her and he was upset at her! Suyin shifted her attention to the back of the man who sat down on a chair behind her.
"Are you finally awake?" Qin Fuhua uttered.
Suyin"s face turned red with the thought of him cuddling close to her face. It was the most intimate thing that someone had ever done to Suyin. That wasn"t the only thing but... was the Prince of Qin actually jealous? Or was it just an act to save her from the black-hooded bandit?
Qin Fuhua turned around to face Suyin, but she couldn"t bear to look at him, so she stood up and flew out of the room.
"I-I"ll... fix my hair now!" Suyin raced out and scurried down the corridors. The servants could only look at her with an odd expression since her hair was a mess.
"What am I thinking of? Where am I going to go fix my hair?" She questioned herself. She halted and turned to the corner of the corridors, pushing the entrance where the maids" courtyard resided in.
One of the maids working on the garden gazed at Suyin, who(Suyin) smiled at her (the maid).
"Do you mind helping me?"
---------------------------------------
"Mistress, Young Master is waiting for you outside of the gates." One of the maids rushed into their room.
"Mistress, if you are here, then why aren"t you with the Young Master?" Another maid asked Suyin.
"Um...well..."
"Don"t worry about it. She"s reasonably shy because they are still newlyweds!" Another one explained as the maids snickered around Suyin.
"It"s... not that! I just..." Suyin couldn"t say anything because she was too fl.u.s.tered with what had happened. The maid finished combing her hair and put it up into a bun with a jade hairpin, pinned to the top of her hair.
"Off you go before the Young Master gets upset!" The maid smiled.
Suyin turned to take a look from a small golden mirror and was astonished at the sight of it.
"Wow! I would never be able to do anything like this. Thank you!" Suyin gleefully bowed to the maids, who declined her bow to them. She bustled off to the front of the entrance right after.
-------------------------------------------
Qin Fuhua and Suyin were set off in a horse carriage to the shopping district. Suyin had no idea about Qin Fuhua"s plan but was ecstatic that he was finally going to show her around, at least. The pair got off of the carriage and began walking around, looking through shops that carried various items such as hairpins, shoes, clothing, silk, and so on.
Suyin"s footsteps paused at the sight of a medicine shop, selling different types of medical items like herbs and insects. Suyin turned to Qin Fuhua and gave him a can-I-go expression. Ignoring it as if he didn"t see it, it meant that it was a green light to let her go in and explore around.
Qin Fuhua set his eyes on a woman walking around with a brown basket around her right elbow, shopping around.
"I"ll be back." He stated. Suyin was more interested in her medicine than him, so she didn"t hear him and darted right into the shop.
Qin Fuhua carefully followed the lady, trying to take a glimpse at her arms to see if there were any burn marks. When her sleeves were down, he spotted a mark, but he wanted to make sure that it was a burn mark according to that hedgehog.
"Wha~ This place has everything!" Suyin was amazed at the medicine shop that she entered in. Not everyone was so eager to be in a shop as much as her, and it showed.
The owner found her odd, but thought nothing too big about it, shrugging as he continued to help his customers. There were columns of small drawers, and if you were to open those little drawers, there would be herbs, insects, dried leaves, and other medical items that were essential for the body.
"EVERYONE OUTTA THE WAY." A man hollered, shoving the customer"s way as he sped inside the shop.
