Chapter 1082: Chaos

“Monk, do you think you’ve won?” The Eight-armed G.o.d sneered as he leaned back, closed his eyes, and said indifferently, “You can stop me once, but can you stop me all the time?”
“Monk?”
The Eight-armed G.o.d, who had been trying to act cool, opened his eyes to look at Fangzheng, only to discover that he was already leaning back in his chair with his eyes closed. It was unknown if he had even heard him.
The Eight-armed G.o.d immediately felt a sense of defeat.
“Eight-armed G.o.d, I’ve heard of the story from back then. I’m sorry for what you encountered,” Xiaoxun’s grandfather suddenly said.
The Eight-armed G.o.d coldly swept his gaze at him. “What do you know? What you know is whatever they allowed you to know. You have no idea what happened back then!”
“They said that you went mad during the compet.i.tion and killed several people. Later, you were shot by the guards and fled into the sea.”
“Heh heh. Do you believe such lies?”
Xiaoxun’s grandfather shook his head. “No. That’s why I wish to ask you what happened that day.”
The Eight-armed G.o.d leaned back, took a deep breath and said, “Whatever. Everything is about to end anyway, so I’ll tell you. I didn’t go mad that day. They were playing dirty and bribed the referee. Even though I had already beaten the person completely to the ground, they insisted on counting points in a bid to make my opponent the winner. That’s what I heard from my coach during the compet.i.tion. He had heard them discussing it in secret.”
“What happened after that?” Xiaoxun’s grandfather asked.
“After that? I gave them no chance to count points. At first, I wanted to give my opponent the opportunity to lose with grace and give him a chance to hold out. But since they were playing dirty, why did I need to play nice? In 1.5 seconds flat, I gave my opponent three punches, shattering his jaw and knocking him out. A perfect KO!” The Eight-armed G.o.d’s eyes turned distant as he was recalling the match that changed his fate.
“You won?”
“I did, but so what? They claimed that I killed someone, that I killed someone during a match. That piece of trash called the Tiger of Southeast Asia! Then, they got so-called police officers to come. However, the ‘officers’ didn’t even have any badges on, so I knew that things weren’t right.
“To protect me, my coach and the rest risked their lives to hold back the police. I took the opportunity to run in the chaos. Later, I heard that all of them died.” As he said that, the Eight-armed G.o.d’s tears rolled down uncontrollably.
“I also heard something similar. But their version was that you killed the referee and your opponent. They said your coach tried to stop you, but ended up being killed by you.”
“Heh heh. Ridiculous! My coach was my father! My team included my younger brothers! Would I kill my father and brothers?” Upon saying that, the Eight-armed G.o.d’s eyes turned red as though they were about to bleed.
He no longer said a word. He leaned back, allowing his tears to flow silently. The look in his eyes turned distant as though he had returned to that moment of darkness and bloodshed. At the same time, he calmly recalled that day, as though giving a final recount at the end of his life.
No one saw the glint in the eyes of the monk beside him before he closed his eyes.
Boom!
The silent atmosphere was suddenly shattered by a din and a roar.
Replacing that was an atmosphere of madness, fervor, and unruliness. It was as though the air had gunpowder in it and would explode at any moment. Fangzheng carefully looked and was surprised to find himself in a fighting match. In the middle was the boxing ring, and surrounding it were rows of seats. However, no one was sitting on them. Everyone was roaring hysterically!
Perhaps only they themselves knew what they were shouting. There was chaos everywhere as the furor swept about like waves. It was extremely noisy.
This made Fangzheng, who was accustomed to tranquility, a little uncomfortable. He shook his head and cast his gaze at the boxing ring.
He happened to see the referee give the go-ahead. On one side was an obviously younger, more handsome Eight-armed G.o.d who had eyes like a starving wolf. He rushed forward and threw out a heavy punch.
His opponent didn’t seem to be in a good state. He had bruises all over his face, and he hardly had any strength in his arms. His defense was broken with a single punch, and the second punch struck him in the face. The opponent’s head subconsciously moved up as the Eight-armed G.o.d followed up with an uppercut, striking him heavily in the jaw. He was thrown into the air before tumbling to the ground! He began convulsing and couldn’t stand up again.
The referee quickly held back the Eight-armed G.o.d. At the same time, his opponent’s coach hugged the fallen opponent with a roar.
Fangzheng walked over and could hear someone shout in Vietnamese. “Wake up! Young Master, wake up!”
Then, he heard a roar. “Find the best doctor. Save him at all cost! Grab Ong! How dare he try to win this match! Does he have a death wish?”
While that was said, a group of people surrounded the Eight-armed G.o.d. The Eight-armed G.o.d’s team also ran over and stood against them. Both sides entered an argument. One party didn’t allow Ong to leave, while the other party argued that it was a fair match!
“Fair match? Do you think this is an international compet.i.tion or something? This is a private match sponsored by our company! This is an underground boxing match! Not abiding by our rules means breaking the rules! Don’t give me bullsh*t about victory or prize money! No one is to leave!” the suited man who had ordered for the Eight-armed G.o.d to be caught suddenly got up and yelled at him.
“Mr. Nguyen, we joined because of your invitation. A boxing match is blind, and life and death depend on fate. Why are you going back on your word just because someone from your side died?” the Eight-armed G.o.d’s father said.
“F**k your death depends on fate. We got you here to lose, not to let you win! Just fight the match and scram, that’s all you needed to do! But you just had to win, didn’t you? Do you know who your opponent is? The Tiger of Southeast Asia, the nephew of our big boss! You’re finished. Don’t even think of leaving, all of you!” the man said furiously.
“This is a lawful society. There are so many members of the audience here. Do you think you can cover this up?” the Eight-armed G.o.d said angrily.
“Audience? The audience are nothing but fools! I won’t touch you, but the police will!” With that said, the man waved his hand and a bunch of men in police uniforms rushed over! However, the audience weren’t able to verify their authenticity because the situation was too chaotic. It wasn’t odd for the police to come now that someone was dead.
“Run!” The Eight-armed G.o.d’s father yelled. He had already come to the realization that this was a true underground match. If none of them managed to flee, they would truly be trampled upon once they were caught. As for what would be said to the public, wasn’t history decided by the victors?
