Annixon stretched, "I am going to bed. See you in the morning. I need to go see a certain someone tomorrow first thing."Anastacia smiled, "Mind if I joined?"
"Very much so. I can"t have distractions before an important meeting, after all"
She pouted, "You"re no fun, again."
He just chuckled, said them all good night and went to bed.
The following morning he got up early. He needed to lay down the ground work for the auction. This is where his real money will be made. He was currently in a financial bind. They only have so much to live on. Thanks to a lot of donations, food and day to day necessities weren"t a problem, but for how long. The lighters provided a stable income. Hopefully, a hundred das wasn"t too much of an ask.
He arrived via horse at the Baron"s place of residence. He got a surprising amount of grat.i.tude when he arrived.
The Baron was already expecting him as soon as he entered, "Ah, master Annixon. A pleasant surprise. To what do I owe the pleasure?"
"Good day to you too, Baron. I will get straight into it. I wasn"t to get a high end auction going."
The Baron rubbed his chin for a bit, "I would advise against selling any secrets."
"Oh, don"t worry about that. Let"s just say we had a breakthrough, one that can"t be replicated. We want to sell these products at the auction."
"It"s a tall order. What exactly are you selling?"
"Robium."
There was a small pause between the two, "You mean as in collector"s items?"

"No."
Again there was a pause, "I am too hesitant to ask…you mean the metal?"
"Yes, and already in blade form."
The Baron"s eyes widened, "You are meaning to tell me you have successfully created a Robium blade?!"
"Yip. Now do you see why I want an auction?"
"Can I see it with my own eyes?"
"While you can see the blade I cannot allow you to see the process."
"That is good enough for me."
"Shall I meet you there?"
"I will get my coach ready. Where is it?"
"At the factory."
"Ah, that weird thing you created. I"ll be there within the hour."
Annixon nodded and left the room.
By the time Annixon got to the Factory, D"verg already added the final touches. It was straight up gaudy for Annixon"s taste, "D"verg, I am not royalty. I am a soldier. I prefer a more practical blade than an ornate blade."
"Ah thought as much. Should have stuck with a basic form,"
"Keep it like that for now. I want to present it to the Baron."
"Oh, the p.i.s.s pot is coming over?"
"Yeah, at least try to so a modic.u.m of civility when he is here."
"Mah, can"t make promises, but I will try at least."
The Baron arrived after a while and Annixon received him at the entrance, "Good day to my humble little workshop."
"A bit empty if you ask me."
"All in due time."
Annixon presented him the blade. His jaw nearly dropped, "This is remarkable! This isn"t a fake, right?"
"Is it even possible to fake that metallic blue hue?"
"Of course my mistake. Just how did you achieve this?"
"A secret that will remain with me. So do we have a deal or not?"
"Of course. How many more blades will you be able to make within the week?"
"D"verg?"
"With your help, master Annixon, I should be able to produce about four blades, but I will need more material."
Annixon nodded, "On that note. I need a few experienced miner hands. Can you think of anybody?"
"An odd request. Do you have a place where you can mine Robium?"
"Yes, but that is out of your jurisdiction, in free man"s land."
"Well, it is Robium after all. So it won"t raise any suspicions. I could spare a few men. I am willing to compensate them for a small while."
"You will be getting ten percent of all proceeds."
"Are you sure?! You do know that Robium blades sells for ridiculous amounts of money and the amount you will be paying me could become quite substantial."
"As long as you promise to use some of it for the betterment of the people."
"You have my word on a n.o.ble"s honour. That amount of money could greatly benefit the town."
"Now, you have an incentive to help me out. I will have Anastacia write out some form of agreement that we will both sign. Now, about those miners…"
Annixon got his miners before eleven the morning. They set out with a bunch of equipment and headed towards the mines. By three o"clock they had more than enough material top produce about fifteen swords.
Annixon made his way back as the miners continued with their work. They set out proper infrastructure during that time.
Annixon and D"verg started to melt the ore down and produce enough metal for about four blades. It took them some time and they had to work through most of the night and sleep on premises to get the work done. This didn"t sit well with the girls. Both Sinah and Anastacia were the first to voice their disdain. Sinah spoke first, "Annixon, you not being home is a load of bull. How long is this going to take?"
"It will hopefully last only until Tuesday. So, if you could just bear with it for a few days longer. If this pans out, we can start to move on to bigger things."
Anastacia sighed, "We don"t need the money. The lighters are making tremendous amount of money. Thanks to the increased capital flow we were abler to get more people to help which quadrupled the production. We are making more than enough to triple our business. This auction. I don"t see the point of it."
"If war comes to our door we will need the finances, besides, I need a lot more capital for my future projects. You really think we are going to stop with those silly firelights. Ha, we are going to rip this continent a new one with what I have in store. So, I say again. Just a few days more."
"Well you better hurry it"s pretty lonely without you there."
"I promise. I will be there as soon as I can."
