A few notification messages flashed.>>>>"From these skill names, it doesn"t appear that any one of these skills can be used during combat, which is good." Liya closed the inventory and opened her skills, looking over her three new skills.
>>>>>>>>"If these spirit beasts use Strength and Dexterity and not Intellect for the damage, then it will be perfect for me. And if not, then it can just be my companion. I have to go to the spirit realm and forge a contract with one of these spirit beasts, but before that." Liya closed the skills and opened the inventory again. She first learnt all the profession books she had. Then she learnt the maps and finally about all the immortal beings.
After each book, Liya learnt the knowledge that didn"t exist in her head before just appeared in her head out of nowhere.
When she learnt any book about any profession, she now knew that if she did anything that was related to that profession, she could do it. When she learnt the book – Maps, she now knew every single zone like her own backyard. When she learnt the book – Immortal Beings, she now knew that there were elven immortal beings in this world: True Vampires, Ancient Elves, the Spirit Queen, True Werebeasts, High Dragons, Nine-tailed foxes, the first generation Oni, Phoenixes, Angels, Demons and G.o.ds. And a notification message flashed.
>>"So I have to kill an immortal to become an immortal… Since I can go to the spirit realm, I will go there to see what level is one of these immortal beings – The Spirit Queen." Liya closed the inventory and the menu.
Extending her right hand, Liya started casting the spell – >.Five seconds pa.s.sed. Liya vanished from the room and the blue orbs disappeared into thin air.
…
Appearing in a new place, Liya turned her head to the left and to the right, looking around in these two directions and she only saw countless flickering stars. Raising her head, she saw seven white moons, seven black suns and even more flickering stars. Lowering her head, she saw that she was standing on a white floating island with nowhere to go, and below this white floating island, she saw a pitch black void.
"What is this?" Liya thought and then a voice sounded in her head, "Welcome summoner, please take the path and you will enter the pool of birthing. Once there your soul will give birth to three spirit beasts. Forge a contract with one and the other two will get devoured by your chosen one."
"That must have been the spirit queen." A white path appeared in front of Liya and she walked down it which led her to a pool filled with black and white liquid which formed yin and yang sign.
"Step inside the pool and close your eyes, let your soul give birth to three spirit beasts," the voice sounded in Liya"s head once more.
Nodding her head slightly, Liya walked into the pool, stopping only when she was in the centre of the pool and the liquid was to her waist. She closed her eyes and stood with them closed for how long, she even herself didn"t know. But she opened her eyes when she heard three different roars and she saw three different creatures standing atop of the liquid.
The first was a transparent Chinese dragon cub, other was a transparent tiger cub, and the third was a transparent fox cub.
"Forge a contract with one of these three spirit beasts," the voice sounded in Liya"s head for the third time.
Blinking her eyes twice, Liya thought, "They are all so cute… I want to pick the strongest one, but which one is the strongest one: the dragon, the tiger or the fox." She moved her eyes across the three cubs a few times. "But even if I choose the strongest one and it uses the Intellect attribute for damage, then it won"t matter. I should choose not the one that seems the strongest, but the one, I would like to be my companion for the long road ahead."
