Lexi filled herself with delight with Churu"s company. After she had done, she was about to pay her bill but the crew said that the food she had eaten and whenever she dines there -- her meals will always be free; which cause a little shock to her.
Though Lexi still insisted on paying her meal, no matter how she negotiates, they won"t take her money. Hence, Lexi conceded and just showed her respect and appreciation.
After Lexi left, a old grandma in a simple attire was watching Lexi exit the premises with a warm smile on her face.
"What a good girl," she mutters in delight.
[inside Lexi"s car]
Lexi was all smiles on her way home. Churu who was staring at her had a curious face, she inquired.
"Why are you happy, chu?"
"Nothing… It just feels good to have a free meal."
Indeed, Lexi wasn"t used to have free meals as she knew that there is no free lunch in the world. Furthermore, with her wealth and all, none of her so-called friends treat her over a meal. It was always her who pays their meals and drinks whenever she hangs out with them -- obviously taking advantage of her.
Despite knowing that, to Lexi, she acknowledge them as her friends, thus, she didn"t mind. Alas, on the lowest time of her life, none of her so-called friends console or share her burden.
Thus, Lexi"s aggression towards Morris heightened and her frustration to everyone worsen. But now, it still somehow made her happy even though they are treating her kindly because she ate there with Ethan Lu on the first hand.
Churu smiled brightly sensing the good mood Lexi has. After all, Churu was sort of attached to Lexi"s feelings. Hence, whenever she was happy or frustrated -- Churu could feel it too.
"Why are you smiling too?" Lexi"s brows raised towards Churu, curious why she suddenly looked happy.
"Because you are happy -- Churu is also happy, chu~!" Churu admitted cheerfully then she danced; moving her "hips" sideways while her hands were waving in the air.
Lexi laughed heartily as she finds Churu adorable. Soon, Lexi"s stone cold heart warmed up a little as for the first time in her second chance in life which made her laughed genuinely.
Churu continued her performaced for a while until Lexi asked her to stop.
Reaching the Yang family mansion, Lexi leisurely unbuckled her seatbelt before she turned her attention to Churu who"s sitting on the pa.s.senger seat.
"Alright, sissy. We"re here." with that said note, Lexi exited her car and took strides inside the grand mansion. While Churu flew and land on her shoulder.
The moment Lexi entered their majestic living area, her smile froze in an instant as her eyes landed on the people sitting on their expensive-looking sofas.
There, his father was perched on the head seat, while her mother was sat on the right side of father Yang. In front of her mother sat the cold yet exquisite man -- it was none other than Morris Liu.
Currently, Morris and her parents were peacefully conversing as if there nothing happened between the two parties. The instant her presence was noticed by her mother, she exclaimed.
"Lexi! Dear, where have you been? Morris have been waiting for you since forever." Mother Yang approached her with her usual warm and motherly tone before she held Lexi"s sweating hands and guided her on the sofa where they were chatting.
Lexi bowed her head in respect to her father but her eyes unconsciously s.h.i.+fted to Morris who was coldly staring at her.
"Sissy? Can you mindread?" Lexi panicked hence, she inquired Churu via telephatically.
"No, chu~." Churu frowned sensing the uneasiness that is slowly creeping in on Lexi"s heart.
"Bro -- CEO Liu, what are you doing here?" Lexi awkwardly inquired, still standing on her father"s side.
"Lexi -- sit down." Father Yang firmly demanded and was evidently displeased by how Lexi addressed Morris Liu.
Granting that Morris did put a ton of pressure on their company and push them to the edge, alas, his action was understandable because Lexi was in the wrong in the first place.
Therefore, even though Father Yang"s view towards Morris Liu changed and doesn"t approve to be his future son-in-law anymore, but, as a businessman, Father Yang knew that Morris Liu helds the life of their company. Reasons why he must dismissed his dismay on Morris past action.
"Morris is here to apologize about his aggressive action." Mother Yang informed Lexi in a gentle tone which made Lexi"s eyes widen in disbelief.
"Not true, chu!" Churu humped angrily -- not believing the words she heard.
