Winter break is over, and the whole winter break, I decide to start fresh, I moved to a new small apartment and got myself several part-time jobs. So many that I didn"t have time for myself. It would be, my first day at the new school, I wasn"t excited, or nervous, I wasn"t feeling anything. I just hope, I could hide everything, with a fake smile.
I left home, and as I got on the bus to get to school, I saw how everyone was excited to meet their friends, and then everyone started to talk about me "Isn"t she the one, her sister murdered her parents, right?" said someone, "Yeah it"s her, I hope she isn"t like that" said someone else, "I feel bad for her, to have been born with a sister like that," said someone else.
I heard more of it, all the way till I reached my stop. I had a huge lump, in my throat, this was all my fault, if unnie was in my shoes what would she have done?
I walked to school.
When I reached school, I stopped and looked at it, it was different, it was bigger and better. The colors were white and gray.
I walked inside and walked to the teacher"s lounge.
Just when I reached out to the handle, the door opened and a tall person came out and walked away.
"You must be the transfer student," said a man, I nodded and he said, "Nice to meet you, I am the school"s vice princ.i.p.al."
He took out the grades, and said it was really good, and then pointed out my homeroom teacher. "That"s Miss Sunny, she is going to be your homeroom teacher, follower her to cla.s.s," He said, I nodded and I looked over at her, she was pretty, and she smiled at me, then gestured me to follower her.
I followed her, and on the way, she said "If you need anything, feel free to ask me," I nodded.
When we got into the cla.s.s, she banged the desk and everyone went quiet. The cla.s.s president got up and said "Cla.s.s stand, and greet," then everyone greeted the teacher, good morning.
She then said "We have, a new student joining us," she looked at me, then I said "h.e.l.lo, I am Sora, Nice to meet you," everyone gasped and said "Isn"t her sister," and then someone else said, "Yeah, it"s her."
The teacher looked at me and told the cla.s.s to stop talking. She told me to sit next to, Bom-i.
I walked to the window seat.
Then the bell rang, and the teacher left.
Everyone looked at me, but then Bom-i said "What are you, a.s.s-holes looking at."
Everyone turned back.
I thanked her, then she said "Wanna hang out with us, everyone else will just be a burden to you," I nodded and she turned around.
Then cla.s.ses went on, and it was lunchtime.
I left the cla.s.s and went to the cafeteria. I looked around, then saw Bom-i waved her hand.
I walked toward her, but someone smacked my lunch.
She then pushed me. Bom-i and her friends, we"re coming over, when I started laughing. I got up, and she pushed me again. This time, I held her hand, and instead of me falling she did. Everyone just stepped away.
I walked out and went to the roof.
Someone tapped my shoulder and, gave me bread.
Then she sat next to me, later her friends did the same.
She then said, "Are you okay?" I nodded.
After lunch, I walked back, and Bom-i gave me her milk.
"Sorry, I left you alone." I then said, "It"s okay."
After school ended, I went to my part-time job.
After a few weeks pa.s.sed.
On Sunday I took time off, to visit my sister.
When she sat down and smiled at me.
We both picked up the phone.
"Hi, how are you, how was school?" asked Chae-young.
"It was good, I made some friends," I said.
"That"s good," She said.
"Why aren"t you looking at me?" I asked.
She lifted her head.
Then I saw the scare, I gasped.
"How d-did that happen, are you okay?" I asked, and she nodded.
"Just a little scratch, and don"t worry about me just worry about, yourself," She said.
"Unnie, you shouldn"t be in here," I started crying.
"Don"t cry, it"s okay maybe I did something wrong." She said
"It"s almost time," said the officer.
"Remember that I love you, and don"t forget that no matter what I will always be here to support you," She said, and they took her away.
I just cried and cried.
When I walked to the bus stop. I remembered the timed we played together before I became like this. I just smiled remembering the old memories.
After everything, she said that she loved me and supported me.
What will happen, if I tell her, the truth? Will, she still love me?
I had decided to tell her when things were right.
Maybe then she will continue to love me.
The bus came and I got home.
I could see the blood all around. After the incident, I had developed an illness.
Due to PTSD, I was a patent of Self-Harm. I wanted to change, but no matter what I do, when the memories slip my mind, I can"t stop myself. An urge hits me and tells me to end it all, and all I can do is follow my heart, instead of my head.
So I end up hurting myself.
But I deserve it after everything I have done. I deserve to be treated like, s.h.i.t. I deserve to die.
I dropped the keys in the table and, I walked to my room.
I opened the window and looked outside.
The felt the breeze on my face, and remember what she said: "Remember, I will always love you and I will always be here to support you." I started to tear up.
I will tell her when things, are right. Definitely.
