The Story Of Dusk

Chapter 119

The storm in the palace didn"t subside, if anything the imperial concubine made it worse, she killed three young girls for unreasonable reason.

She wanted her son to not be so lonely in the afterlife.

It was madness, but no one gave their opinion about this and the Emperor also didn"t say anything about his concubine behavior.

The three poor girls were only servants, someone with low birth, insignificant. No one wanted to incur the concubine"s wrath by saying anything against her action.

Those servants were not worth for trouble. Thus, all the female servants were trembling in fear, wondering if they would be the next.

Jinse brought this dreadful new to Qianru, informed her about the situation at the palace.

"Tell all our servants to not step out from the courtyard." Qianru didn"t want them in trouble.

Even though the life of servant was easily replaced, but she wasn"t someone who wouldn"t care about other people"s life, no matter how insignificant they were.

"Do you know where is Jun?" Qianru asked when Jinse was about to go out of the room.

The young servant turned back and replied. "Prince Jun was summoned to the palace by the Emperor just now."

Qianru"s heart skipped a beat, she gripped the edge of the table tightly to prevent her from falling down as she dismissed Jinse.

Her palms were sweating as her mind reeling with the worse possibility.

The wind was blowing harshly against Qianru"s face as she stood right in front of the entrance gates of their courtyard.

She clutched her cloak tightly to prevent the wind bit her skin with no avail, she could feel her fingers froze and white cloud formed from her breath.

She had been waiting for two hours there, wanted to see Xiao Jun badly, or if something wrong happen she was able to know it immediately.

Jinse had been persuading her in these last hours to go inside, only to earn a stern glare and order to stay away from her.

She was too antsy to waiting inside.

The cold night did good on her mood at least the coldness could distract her from over thinking things, much better than waiting inside.

Qianru didn"t know what went wrong, though today was started just fine, more than fine to say the least, but why it ended up horribly like this?

However, as if the universe was playing with her miserable situation, the last person or even the person who she had forgotten exist, appeared before her eyes.

Sitting haughtily atop of his horse with two guards were flanked his right and left, Mo Qin Yi stopped his st.u.r.dy stallion in front of Qianru.

"Qianru, what are you doing here?" Mo Qin Yi approached her.

Out of instinct, Qianru took step back, trying to make some distance between them. It was her mistake to forget about him, at the very least she actually didn"t consider his existence.

Mo Qin Yi"s courtyard was near hers, so it would be a big chance to meet him the moment he returned.

"Were you waiting for Xiao Jun?" Mo Qin Yi tilted his head in amus.e.m.e.nt, looking how wary this woman to be near him. "All of you may go." He said, waving his hand toward the two guards who escorted him.

Qianru didn"t like the idea being with him alone, so she turned her back and intended to go inside as well.

"I didn"t say that you can go." Mo Qin Yi grabbed Qianru"s hand and forced her to face him.

"What are you doing?" Qianru grunted while trying to escape his clutch. "Let go of my hand!" She snapped.Find authorized novels in Webnovel, faster updates, better experience,Please click for visiting.

"I just want to talk." Mo Qin Yi insisted, but he didn"t let go of her hand. "Stop rejects me!"

"Do you out of your mind!? I am a married woman!" Qianru shouted angrily. She struggled to get away from him.

The more Qianru struggled, the more Mo Qin Yi enjoyed her naught attempt. He was indeed insane.

Looking that her effort didn"t bring any result, Qianru leaned over and bit down his hand fiercely. Her action was caught Mo Qin Yi out of guard as he abruptly released her and retracted his hand.

However, it wasn"t only the pain in his hand that he suffered, the next second he felt sharp pain on his leg. Qianru kicked his calf hardly before she ran back inside her courtyard.

With that the woman fled from his grasp.

Mo Qin Yi grunted deeply because of the pain, only when the pain subsided, he looked at his hand and a small teeth mark crafted there.

He stared at the mark that Qianru had left on his hand with wicked smiled. He liked this side of this woman ever since they met years ago.

She looked calm and collected, but she would barring her claws if someone forced her.

Licking the mark on his hand, Mo Qin Yi looked at the direction where Qianru had disappeared before he mounted his horse and galloped toward his own courtyard.
