Luna turned defensive upon seeing her father, she abruptly stood up and held her big stomach with one hand while her other hand was holding a needle that she used to embroider. Her eyes flew toward the door, there was no sound or voice from the guard who were appointed to guard her chamber.
It most likely that Modama had killed them or they had been hypnotized and was unconscious. However, Luna though Modama would be done both methods, hypnotized them and killed them after.
It was quite unfortunate for Luna to not been able to feel his presence before he was too close to her now, after all both of them were mind controller.
"What do you want?" Luna"s voice turned very cold and calm, like a frozen river in the middle of the winter.
"Don"t you want to greet your father? After such a long time we didn"t meet with each other, you act as though I am an outsider." Modama complained. He stopped five steps away from Luna, his penetrating gaze was locked on her round stomach.
"What did you do to Gong Xu?" Luna asked in the same tone like before. "Did you kill him?"
"Yes, I kill him." Modama nodded his head casually. "I killed him and fed his body to the wolves in the mountain."
Though that was what Modama said, Luna knew it better. "You know that no one could lie in front of me, not even you." Luna blurted out, but she felt relief because she was sure now that her brother was still alive, injured maybe, but alive.
Upon hearing Luna"s words Modama laughed dryly. "I think both of us are the most honest person to each other."
Luna didn"t give response to this statement and took a few steps back, Modama was an unpredictable person, she didn"t know what was going on in his mind.
"Why don"t you let me touch my grandchild?" Modama walked forward to the cornered Luna. His lips curled into a taunting smile as he looked his daughter. "Come here." He stretched out his hand and opened his palm as if waiting for Luna to reach it.
Out of the blue, Luna felt something wrong, she was muddleheaded as she stopped cowered away. Her hand reached out the thing below the table as it pierced her finger tip.
"Come here my daughter, let me see my grandchild, don"t you want to let me see it?" Modama kept talking, his voice was like a melody in Luna"s ears.
Luna closed her eyes and when she opened them, her vision turned misty. Seeing this, Modama"s smile widened.
This time he was the one who walked forward to approach Luna while his daughter didn"t reject his advance this time and stood still.
Modama was only a step away from Luna when slowly he drew a small dagger from his sleeves.
The dagger glinted under the light of the room as it reflected in Luna"s eyes. "Everything will be over very soon my daughter…" He muttered. "Verry soon."
After he said that, Modama raised the dagger in his hand and intended to thrust Luna"s stomach mercilessly.
It happened in the split of second when Luna"s eyes became focus abruptly and she pierced Modama"s throat with the needles in her hand and grazed Modama"s arm, which he used to hold the dagger, with the knife that Luna found under the table.
Xiao Tianyao was always put something like this across the room and Luna was familiar with the location of every each of those weapons.
The blood from the cutting wound on Modama"s wrist sprayed on Luna"s face and her outer robe, swiftly Luna shoved Modama away with the strength that she had as she couldn"t kick him.
It was only the only way for her to escape from Modama, but as her stomach had grown so big, in her haste, she couldn"t see her feet and tripped.
As she fell, she switched her body and fell on her side while stretching out her arms to reduce the impact from colliding with the ground, she could hear the crack from her wrist when she held her upper body.
Luna let out a piercing screamed as she felt her hand broken, but she could concern about that later, because if Modama managed to catch her, she would have been dead the next second.
Luna tried to get up and as he held her stomach with her broken hand and pushed herself up with her other hand.
However, Modama caught her leg and pulled her back to the ground. She felt weak under his clutched and struggeled to get free from him with no avail.
"I will kill you! I swear I will kill you!" Modama was like a madness as he pulled out the needles that stabbed on his throat. "You are a s.l.u.t! There is Xiao"s blood on your baby! The baby must die too!"
Luna tried to kick Modama, but she wasn"t strong enough to get rid from him and started to feel tired.
When Modama pulled her legs one more time, she let her body was being dragged away and suddenly turned around.
Luna held Modama"s hand with both of her hand while they were on the floor.
"You will not come to see me again! You will not be able to meet me again! You will stay away from me! You will never hurt my child!" Luna repeated those word as she glared at Modama, staring right in his eyes with hatred and determination.
She wasn"t as heartless as Modama as she couldn"t kill him directly, moreover she didn"t have enough strength to do that.
This was the best suggestion that she could do.
Luna felt her head was spinning as she got cramp on her stomach, but she couldn"t stop her attempt to subdue Modama as he resisted.
As they had come to this point, it was only a matter of will, whether Modama would receive Luna"s suggestion or not.
He was trying hard to resist, but somehow Luna was too strong for him to handle.
She was so determined, Luna had never felt this determined before. She was giving her all, only when the pain on her stomach grew unbearable, she released Modama"s head.
Both of them fell back, Modama was struck dumb as his eyes hazy eyes were staring to the distance.
Meanwhile, Luna was writhing in pain while holding her stomach, it felt like the baby was kicking her from the inside.
However, she was afraid if something happened to her baby as she screamed on the top of her lungs.
"Tianyao!!!" She cried out loud, trying to make more commotion to attract someone attention, was probably Modama had killed all of the guards? However, how that possible? Luna didn"t feel the killing intention before and it would take an exceptional noise for him to have done that.
It was only him, so it was impossible that Modama managed to ma.s.sacre the whole mansion.
Luna crawled on the ground while holding her aching stomach, she could feel something dripped from her lower body, wetted her legs, but she was afraid to look down.
She put all of her focus on at the door, hoping there was someone busted in. "Tianyao!" She cried again helplessly.
The pain and the fear of losing her baby were the only things that made her kept going, though her body had started to become weak.
Luna kept crawling toward the door and blood left on her wake, she didn"t know what happened to her father as she didn"t even glance back at him, however he didn"t chase after her.
It was so difficult and the only thing that was inside her mind, she would die if there was no one come and help her.
When she was a few steps away from the door, suddenly the door bursted open, and Xiao Tianyao"s figure appeared with the stary night sky behind his back.
He heard some noisy from inside the room, but didn"t think much about it, however, his heart didn"t feel at ease as he stepped out from his study room and wanted to take a trip to his chamber for a while when he saw the guards, who supposed to guard their courtyard, had lied on the ground.
And seeing Luna"s condition, his blood rushed to his head, he didn"t really notice the next thing that he did or why Luna was in her current condition. The only thing in his mind was to bring her away to meet the physician.
Xiao Jun even didn"t notice when Yang Yu had come along with him.
"LOOK AFTER HER!" Xiao Tianyao yelled to everyone inside the physician"s courtyard.
Fearing Xiao Tianyao"s ferociousness, the two physicians hurriedly came to take a look on Luna. Their brows scrunched unsightly when they saw the b.l.o.o.d.y dress of Luna.
"Prince Xiao, we need to call midwife, Miss Luna is going to give birth." One of the physician informed Xiao Tianyao.
"Give birth…?" But she is only eight months pregnants.
