Draig stared at the group before him his soldiers ready to act when something odd happened, it was as if they had sensed him and his people. The moment before he could act he found his group ambushed with a few spells that had been silently cast.Up in the stands Zarra lowered his hand while seeming to focus on the Guilder troops, meanwhile in a certain stadium Dracule was standing before that wondrous machine. The jack o lantern smiling as he stared at it, a long time of planning and decoding had been put into this moment.
While originally he had intended to take Draig as a host first, he found himself forced into the body of a scarecrow. It presented a problem at first but then he was met with the lucky encounter of Draig falling unconscious from exhaustion, drawing the blood of the young Feratu he had his key ingredient for his plan to proceed.
It was through many years of research that Dracule had found a way to remove humanity"s advantage over the other races, pulling from his side a Bottomless Bag he revealed a jar filled with Draig"s blood.
"It"s time" thought the old pumpkin as he pulled the lid from the jar and swung splas.h.i.+ng the crimson liquid into the air but instead of falling to the ground it floated there before breaking into thousands of micro characters that began to glow ominously.
While Dracule was doing this Draig had managed to avoid the initial attack, his troops braced against it bravely abusing the enchantment"s negating effect of elemental magic. Draig revealed his ability after much meditation he had given up but it seemed as if after not trying the information came to him faster. With this came the bit of martial skill he had developed during the training process Dracule had put him through, swiftly arriving in front of one of the mages he firmly chopped the neck making sure to hit hard enough to barely not break it before running his claw over an open piece of skin and pulling a blood drop.
That drop was soon dropped into a tiny pocket book that appeared to be chained to Draig"s waist, seeing the page fill out Draig reacted quickly running through the field claws poised to collect what he wanted most.
As he ran through his claws would be like invisible blades that seemed to suck the blood like his namesake, but these drops never landed in his mouth for consumption merely being fed to that little pocket book.
Draig looked at the book just as the Dread Knights with him had finished the battle and noticed that many of the final entries had more abilities available. Remembering the words of Dracule Draig smirked, it seemed that this compet.i.tion was his trove of experience for the Bloodscript.
Chuckling to himself he dashed onward looking for the next set of targets intent on collecting everything he could like a ravenous h.o.a.rder. After this bit of motivation Draig started to act faster, his movements becoming more agile as he acted as a shock trooper for his unit and danced around their attacks while collecting his samples. Even with the enemies back to them these Dread Knights did not care as they made quick work of these low ranked Guilders.
Kira and his people weren"t doing much worse as they had long since went into a frenzy, the stands were silent as they watched the Guilders baring the copper Emblem were slowly torn asunder.
Zarra clenched his teeth as he hadn"t expected it to be this quick with him running interference in the dark, he refused to let that pumpkin have his way even if it meant tilting the scale to one side. However his plan wasn"t working and he was just watched on as the first round of this compet.i.tion was coming to an end.
While Draig collected everything he could from these unsuspecting Guilders Dracule was chanting something ominous in an old language that Draig would recognize immediately. It was the altered dialect of the Ancient Vampire language, it would"ve been Draig"s founding for his alphabet if not for the rushed Training"s fusion of his knowledge with the founder"s giving him an even greater advantage.
As the old pumpkin chanted those thousand crimson characters placed themselves in an odd order around the Cla.s.s System. As the chanting continued each of those symbols began to light up one by one, casting an ghastly glow about the room.
"I hope that brat is keeping those mortals distracted" thought Dracule continuing the chanting.
Draig was doing just the old Feratu hoped and was providing a wonderful show for the people to watch as he and Kira finally reunited and thoroughly squashed all who stood before them.
Up in the stands Zarra clenched his fists for a moment before releasing them and releasing a turbid breath.
"I need to remain calm, these copper Emblems are mere beginners or trash. He can only last so long as he faces stronger opponents, with just a bit more interference the tides can easily be turned" thought the dark mage as he announced Draig"s victory.
"My Lord, did you notice the interference" asked Kira as he and Draig waited in the field for the next group of Guilders.
"Do you mean how they seemed to always know our positions" asked Draig with a small smirk as his eyes shone mysteriously.
"You bats and your d.a.m.n eyes" snorted Kira dropping the matter.
Draig chuckled, he was aware that someone was interfering but he wasn"t sure how yet or even who for that matter. Looking among the crowd Draig looked for any suspicious activity but found none discernible to his eyes.
"The Silver Emblem Guilders have now made the field let us see how the challenger handles these young elites" came the voice of a familiar announcer, it was recognized to be the same man who announced the lottery.
"Let"s stick together this time, more numbers can only help us against these more experienced mortals" stated Kira as he gripped his sword.
"Very well but leave the blood for me" chuckled Draig as he began to exude began to exude a light pressure.
