It had been a week since Draig had been locked down inside the giant steel box, he had tested his rights to leave at one point and bought some things he could practice with and had only been doing that since. Unfortunately bonding the characters and narrowing down the effects had been a bit more troubling but Dracule had been there to clarify his doubts and help him push forward until finally he succeeded."Hey old man, I did it" called Draig with a pleased smirk on his face causing the old Vampire to chuckle.
"Alright then, what can it do" asked Dracule as he looked at the knife in Draig"s hands.
"Watch" said Draig as the knife began to rise from his palm gently and after it reached an inch above his palm it shot off quick enough to give Dracule a jolt.
Soon the knife returned to it"s original position, Dracule stared at the knife for a long time before laughing excitedly.
"I have seen many things in my day and some similar to this but this is the first time I have seen it done so perfectly." complimented Dracule before a contemplating look came across his face.
"What is it, is there something wrong with it" asked Draig curiously as he looked at the knife.
"The knife is fine, it"s just I was thinking it might be helpful to your enchanting if you learned some magic. If you did that then maybe you could add the spell effects to your weapons or items" suggested Dracule.
"That is a good idea but there is one problem with that old man" sighed Draig.
"What"s that child" asked Dracule curiously.
"No one is gonna teach me any spell let alone full on magic, so I will just have to make do with what I got until I can make them all regret their decisions" spat Draig his anger towards humans fermenting.
"Draig, I am the son of the first Vampire. The one who began it all and created and pa.s.sed down our signature skills and magic. I can teach you our complete heritage up to the highest level and then I am certain you will be able to do things with enchantments that have never been seen before." answered Dracule with a pleased look.
Draig jumped at the opportunity and accepted immediately.
"Good then close your eyes and open your mind" stated Dracule as his wispy form began to enter the seven orifices of Draig"s face.
Draig appeared to be in pain for some time and you could even vaguely see veins bulging against his skin until the process finally ended and Dracule appeared again.
"Who was that" gasped Draig as he looked at his hands trying to confirm his reality.
"Simple that is my father and from now on every time you close your eyes to sleep he will be your teacher" laughed Dracule
Far from the domain of the two Vampire"s there was a meeting being held, and none other than Zarra was heading it.
"So how is the Leech coming along, has he managed to enchant anything yet" asked a Skinny mam with a blue armor possessing a four headed snake emblazoned on the chest.
"He has enchanted a knife but for the moment I believe it would be best to let him gain more insight into his field of expertise, besides that there is something more." started Zarra leaving the question open to ask.
"What is it" asked a older looking man who wore a scar over his right eye.
"I have been sensing bursts of dark magic coming from the leech box, I try to arrive when I am certain it is unexpected but I have yet to see anything" explained Zarra under his hood a hardened look covered his face.
"Ha ha ha, he"s a Vampire. Of course your gonna sense dark magic as he grows" laughed a rotund man heartily.
As the rotund man spoke the rest of the gathered leaders laughed along thinking Zarra to be paranoid. However soon a pressure built over those in the room causing the laughter to cease.
"It seems you have forgotten who it is you are speaking to" stated Zarra as the shadows around the room warped and surged towards his position.
"Lord Zarra, I meant no disrespect" started the rotund man as memories flashed before his eyes of the man before him.
A terror on the battlefield resorting to any means to achieve victory, that is the legacy left by the one known the Dark Mage Zarra.
"Then tell me do you think I would raise this concern if it was nothing" asked Zarra glaring down at the man.
"Lord, if you are so concerned why not just kill the little blight" asked the Skinny man calming himself a bit.
"If it were so simple then I wouldn"t allow him to live but there are things that you are unaware of for the time being. As it stands the boy will continue to live, any who should seek to take matters into their own hands will understand how dark my magic can be." stated Zarra before exiting the room
The group of leaders traded glances and slowly filtered out of the room, their minds curious to the meaning behind Zarra"s words.
Elsewhere Draig was squirming on the floor his eyes knit tightly together as dark wisps fluttered in and out of his head, occasionally you could see wounds form on his body but as they built up they began healing faster until it was visible to the naked eye.
"It seems my heir is coming along nicely, soon I will take you to our homeland and you will deal with those who betrayed their ancestors" thought the misty figure of Dracule.
Dracule continued staring for a bit longer before he sunk back into Draig"s shadow.
