"Alright. We will work this out. I love you, big sister. Please take care." He whispered meeting her eyes, reaching out to gently cup her shoulder. Kyera smiled and clasped his hand, pulling him in for a half hug, their arms between their bodies but the comrade like manner between them clear even from a distance."I need to go tend to the Prince and Princess. May you walk in the Shadows and they guide your step." Kyera replied with a soft smile. He bowed to her, releasing her hand. A soft smile on her lips as she curtsied back.
"And you, My Princess." He whispered back before turning to walk toward the central gate. She felt a piece of her heart break apart and follow him back home. Her hope was reignited. She was still wanted at home, she had a home to return to. It would be time, it would be difficult but she could still go home.

Kyera"s heart was filled with a new calm. The crack that had been bleeding so badly for the last several months had healed just a bit. There was truly nothing like knowing that one had a home.
"My apologies Fourth Prince and Little Princess, I did not expect that to take so long." She offered as she caught up with the father and daughter who were waiting quite patiently for her return. Raina offered her a gentle smile, but her aura felt off.
"It is fine, Lady Kyera. We did not mind waiting though I wish he had introduced himself. I would have liked to meet your acquaintance." Clovis hinted raising an eyebrow a bit. He was too cultured to ask "who was that man?" straight out but she was intelligent. There was no reason to be so blunt.
"That was Talis Softpaw." Kyera replied smoothly transitioning into an answer. "He is...was Verone"s little brother." she explained her voice a bit softer as she said his name. Clovis could feel her pain again and silently cursed himself. She had been better before he asked that question.
"He was very kind. Can we go to the dress maker now?" Raina asked sweetly, turning on one of her most charming smiles. She did not like the wild man. He had mad Kyera sad and that, Raina couldn"t accept.
"Yes, of course princess. It isn"t far now. Just around the corner." Kyera replied motioning to a dirt road near by. The people pa.s.sing on it were a touch different from those they were surrounded by now.
Raina was fascinated. The few times she had been to the village had stayed toward the center of the square or the northern side where the n.o.bles resided. High cla.s.s merchants were often ritch and showed it off. They were always dresses in pristine outfits and adorned with pretty things. Yet, this area was much different.
The people in this area were salt of the earth. Beautiful in their unique way, simple and ordinary. They seemed to wear their professions on their sleeves. A few of them she recognized as Dancers, cooks, cloth sellers and meat merchants she even noticed a few tired looking gentlemen wearing the uniform of the palace doing their shopping. These people were workers, and their children were playing near their shops dressed simply in play cloths.
"Lady Kyera look! It"s the Medicine Lady." Raina pointed out rather discreetly for a Seven year old. Kyera blushed slightly knowing pretty much everyone here could hear the princess.
Her old friend looked up in their direction, a amused smile on the wise one"s face. "Yes, that is Aggie the Herb Healer." Kyera informed her waving at Aggie who chuckled at the pair. There was a warm glow in the old woman"s eyes.
"Where is this Dress Maker of yours?" Clovis asked curiously, his eyes were observing following the flow of this area of the square. He had been here before, but normally it was just in pa.s.sing so he could speak to the heads of the guild that had shops around here. It wasn"t somewhere he spent much time either. There was more crime here which meant the possibility of being jumped.
