"Akira Mei, I don"t believe I requested your presence." Kyera replied smoothly, nodding at Ella to continue fussing with the veil. The older tigress growled in frustration and Kyera shot her a warning glance. "My dress is a warrior style outfit. Do not frighten my friend again." Kyera warned her as Ella took the veil off and placed it on a form in the corner of the room. Seeing how tense this was, and not wanting to be trying to salvage this later, she began removing the lace parts of the gown that detached, so only the leather dress remained. "As to what I am doing, I am being a Princess, a duty you abandoned to me.""Enough of this foolishness, Kyera Mei. I AM YOUR MOTHER. You will not continue with this charade as long as I breath." she replied finally snapping. Kyera stared at her for several long moments. Her mind went through several thought processes before she settled on the least b.l.o.o.d.y option.
"First off I am Kyera Shade of the Moon. Not Kyera Mei, that name died with my brothers. Secondly, My mother ceased to breathe when she abandoned me and my brothers. As for the Charade you think I am putting on, I am willing to listen to your reasoning, but I will not now or ever in the future take commands from you. A Princess must listen to her subjects but, I expect that tone to change. This is a royal palace, not a brothel." Kyera added smoothly as she stood facing the woman. There was no trace of warmth on her face, like smooth porcelain kyera watched her. This did not phase the other woman, she stared back with unbridled fire in her eyes
"You can not change who gave birth to you." Akira replied sharply, placing her fists on her hips. Kyera nodded offering a pleasant smile. "Even if you change the name I gave you."
"No, no I can not. However you can not change that you ran out on us. Now if you can present a decent argument that outweighs the benefits of my Marriage to Clovis, then I will consider it. Otherwise your words hold no weight." Kyera replied smoothly controlling her tone. The little bit of warmth she had rekindled for this woman was quickly turning to ice. She had no right to speak to her like this.
"The Emperor will not see it that way. As your surviving family I must allow this marriage and I will not." Akira replied and Kyera laughed. She walked closer till she stood beside the woman who gave her life, and later twisted heart heart till it broke.
"You are not my surviving family. My name resodes of Half Eyes Family Register. There is nothing more you can do with those empty threats." Kyera purred much too sweetly. She was enjoying this, perhaps a little too much, but she really didn"t care.
"He can not do that, not without my permission." she growled and Kyera nodded.
"That"s true. Normally a parent"s permission is needed unless that parent is missing for more than a year without contact. By Shadow Veil law that is abandonment and I could be registered under a adoptive parent"s name. So Shaman Half Eye adopted me when the boys died, Werol and Daxin taught me and here I stand. I really must thank you though, after all without your heritage how would I have been such a pretty face." she replied tilting her head to the side. Akira growled again and Kyera raised a brow. The other tiger stood down first.
"You can not turn your back on me. I made you." she pointed out and Kyera sighed.
"I tire of this argument. Why are you h.e.l.l bent on me not marrying Clovis?" Kyera replied honestly just too tired to care anymore. Nothing Akira said would change the truth.
"The Forest Princess has ALWAYS been a Shifter. That human child can NOT Be my granddaughter. She can not be the Gypsy Heiress!" Akira roared and then silence fell.
