Melania stood in front of the mirror smoothing the dark leather dress over her skin, admiring the pretty detailed designs burned into the leather. The split up the side and pants underneath made it idea for moving around and hunting. It fit her rather well and after little cinching at the waist it looked stunning. The fur cape that attached to her shoulders was warm and made her feel oddly safe in these foreign lands. She pulled her waterfall curls back into a ponytail and waited for the other two girls to dress.Kyera came out looking as though she had never left this land. Her sapphire black dragon skin leather bodysuit fit her curves beautiful and laced up the side in bright blue laces. The fur caplet and skirt matched in deep black fur cut to fall across her hips in a asymmetrical way. Cora was dressed Identically but she had opted out of the skirt and wore a pure black bodysuit and leather knee length skirt.
Standing in front of these two lethal beauties Melania suddenly felt a little weak and small. The unnerving feeling vanished when Kyera grinned ear to ear seeing Melania in the dress. SHe seized her hand and coaxed her into a little twirl to show off her curves. "You are stunning, Melania. Those frilly dresses do not do you justice." Kyera praised before letting go of her hand. Melania couldn"t help but blush sweetly.
"You look beautiful as well. I wonder how the other girl"s fared." Melania replied not really sure how she felt about the obvious praise and kindness. They were supposed to be enemies...at least that"s what she had been told. Yet Kyera seemed completely sincere in how she treated her. It was difficult for her to understand.
"Probably fairly well. To be honest, my dresses are simple and made for me. They will probably be more ornate and layered, but you will be warm." Kyera rea.s.sured her with a smile. Melania smiled in return, finding she believed her. Cora smiled as well waiting quietly for them to move. Kyera put HeartString on her back and the quiver of arrows on the high side of the skirt balancing out the outfit.
"I don"t have a weapon…" Melania suddenly grew a little embarra.s.sed, realizing she had run away from camp without any sort of weapon. Kyera chuckled a bit.
"Don"t worry about it. You use a crossbow right?"
Kyera asked as she lead the way to the front room of her suite. She opened a cupboard filled with her mother"s old weapons. There was a rather sleek deep brown crossbow that seemed to be waiting for them. Kyera took it out and offered it to Melania.
Melania took it and began looking it over. It was nicely made, and well balanced it fit in her hand perfectly. This was better than her custom weapon lost in the forest. "I like it…" she commented with a smile as Kyera took a ornate leather belt and attached a quiver to it. She helped Melania put it on.
"There you"re ready for the hunt." Kyera replied as she put a knife in her boot before leading Melania out of her rooms. It was clear the Second Princess was lost in thought. There was a sense of amus.e.m.e.nt on her face that peaked Kyera"s interest. "A thought, my lady?" Kyera asked and Melania sighed.
"My father would call you a fool. We are competing for the same t.i.tle and yet you are so willing to help me. It is oddly unnerving." Melania replied and Kyera nodded, not seeming offended.
"And you? What do you think?" Kyera asked curiously. Melania seemed to be a little caught off guard by the question. "Better yet, how do you feel?" Kyera added glancing at the other princess out of the corner of her eye.
"I must agree with my father." Melania replied her response a bit too quick and Kyera chuckled.
"I didn"t ask what you must do, or even what you are expected to do. I asked how YOU, as Melania feel. Not as princess or a daughter but as a woman." Kyera replied, her voice both gentle and chiding. This girl had a lot to learn about sisterhood.
