Holding in both hands, Liu Anna balanced a saucer which held water in a tall gla.s.s cup, beads of moisture formed on it"s exterior.
"Here is the water you asked for."
"Mr. Hu, take the cup from her and pa.s.s it to me!"
Not waiting to be told a second time, Hu Tsao reached for the cup and saucer all at once. Separating them, before giving just the cup to Duan Yili.
"This is cold, not as cold as I would have preferred. Do you want a sip?"
In a tone of false camaraderie, she gestured with the cup pointing towards the man by her.
"I"m alright Director Duan. Thanks for asking."
Hu Tsao politely turned down what he knew to be a show of kindness from her, while bowing slightly as he did so.
Not thinking anything was off about the way Duan Yili was acting, Liu Anna made a move to take a seat across from her, but in so doing she suddenly felt something cold and moist hit her from behind.
"My hand must have slipped."
Water dripped from the back of Liu Anna"s head, her hair wet from having water thrown at her for no apparent reason. A stunned look in her eyes, she then faced whom she thought was the culprit.
"Now that"s how to drink a cup of water! Oh, did I say water? I meant to say, W-T-E-R O-F P-O-V-E-R-T-Y!"
