Val was currently at the bottom of the ocean.

Why? You, ask? It was because Cole had asked him to scout for where the Azure Dragon could possibly be resting.

He drew him a map and circled the areas that were most likely to house the Dragon. He had done so by the legends and folklore surrounding the Dragon as well as places that were in the eastern part of the oceans and a place deep enough to hide.

The fish and beasts swimming near him would all make way since he looked like a big, scaly amphibian that could eat them with one crunch.

Val could withstand the intense pressure brought upon by the sea floor but he still didn"t like doing so.

"I have two pairs of wings on my back when I"m not in final form in you tell me to go take a swim?!"

In fact, he was extremely furious about it. It turns out that the Dragons of the〈Fantasia Zone〉held a lot of pride in the type of magic they were born with along with their physical traits.

It was because there was a lot of variation between the Dragons in the Zone and they were treated as deities for their attributes. So, if one were to invade another Dragon"s territory, it could lead to some nasty results.

But Val didn"t care for the Dragon"s home he was visiting since it was a different Zone anyway. He didn"t know if they had the same rules or not and in truth, his being p.i.s.sed off was just clouding his judgement.

"I"m gonna make him spend an hour in my mouth when I get back!"

And just as Val had thought of such a thing, he found it.

「?」

There was a light shining through. It was weak and you could barely see it but in the dark ocean, it would"ve been hard not to notice.

He swam closer to the faint source of light and inspected further.

The plant life seemed to be have feasted upon recently and there were a few faint depressions in the ground and some claw marks here and there.

"Ah, Cole told me to look for such traces."

Val went further in and had to shrink his size due to the crevice being too small for his body. Small fishes and ones that were slightly smaller than medium could slip through but Val hadn"t seen any fishes near the place.

When he crawled further, the pa.s.sageway widened bit by bit until it opened to a giant underwater cavern.

There were blue stones that glowed with a sparkling shine the same as its soft colour. The cavern was extremely wide and Val thought that it was indeed a fitting place if a Dragon that ruled over water took it as its home.

Val shrank his body even further to the point where he was as small as a lizard.

"It"s like I"m a hatchling again. Only many times smaller."

He scurried around and explored the place. Since Val was a Dragon himself, he had a faint idea on where it should be based on his nest and his aquatic Dragon friends.

But although Val considered them his friends, they were secretly afraid of him shocking the bodies of waters they lived in. They still found him as a nice guy.

It didn"t take him long to find what he was looking for.

In a secluded and deep part of the large cave. Val first saw what he thought was a big snake.

But the more he looked, he realized that wasn"t the case. Their slim body was too big for a snake no matter what kind of beast they could be. Their scales were also like that of a fish"s. Shiny, thin, and seemingly transparent.

Claws emerged from the sides of the body that had sharp talons and their tail was adorned with a beautiful tail fin that rivalled even the Queen of Sirens Val had tea once with.

Going up the neck, he could see whiskers similar to that of a catfish which he could trace back to its snout. When he reached the head, Val didn"t have to observe him any further.

The moment he saw the long bluish-silver man and the deer-like horns, he knew he was looking at a Dragon from this Zone.

Lucklily, it was asleep and with every breath, it"s body would heave up and down.

As much as he wanted to stay and have a chat as fellow Dragons, he had to go back to Cole and report about his findings. He could talk to the Dragon later, just not now.

He retraced his steps and exited out of the cavern and swam back up to the surface. He transformed into a bigger size and flew back to the party.

"I wonder if he knows a lot about the cuisine here. If I"m lucky, maybe we can be a Dragon Chef Duo!! That would be so cool!!"

As Val thought such thoughts, he didn"t notice his own sparkling eyes and increasing speed.

I have a semi-important notice to make.

First off, release rates will probably slow since school has started (As you have experienced) and I"m making, I guess a rework? If you can call it that.

Of this story on Wattpad. The story here will stay here unless needed otherwise but I wanted to rewrite the story in a better way.

I feel like I haven"t sufficiently explained things or made proper relationships for the characters or portrayed them good enough.

I could just redo the entire thing here but I decided to ask you guys first.

As for why Wattpad, why not?
