Alina slept peacefully with joyful dreams running through her head. Suddenly they all melted away. The scenery changed into a black void. There was nothing there for her to look at. She turned around and saw the shapes of three figures floating in the distance. Alina was hesitant to approach them. She watched the shapes move closer still floating. It seemed like hours until the shapes were close enough for Alina to see. As she got closer she looked at the first face and gasped. It was Simon, alive but his eyes closed. Alian clasped her hands over her mouth in happiness. She started crying tears of joy. Suddenly Simon"s skin started to turn black and charred. She watched as he started crumbling away. Alina"s tears of joy turned into tears of sorrow. As Simon crumbled away Alina approached the second figure. When she got a look at their face she gasped again. It was her father, still in his traveling clothes. She watched as her father"s body started to be split down the middle like a zipper unzipping a coat. His skin opened and out poured his organs like mush onto the floor. Alina kept crying as she stood in front of the last figure. This was Lyle. His body didn"t start out normal. His eyes were gouged out and his lips were gone. His face was lifeless and his body was limp. Alina collapsed on the ground in pure sorrow. She couldn"t stand seeing her family and Lyle dead. She cried and cried for what seemed like days. Suddenly she heard a voice, "Alina what are you crying?" She looked up and saw Lyle, back to his normal self sitting in front of her. "Lyle," Alina sighed, then as she still stared at him, his body started to distort. Alina disregarded this as she thought it was her own vision. His body started to retreat back to its horrid self. She finally realized that the dead Lyle was sitting in front of her. She watched as his head started dropping forward and then it landed in her lap. Alina screamed and woke up.Alina sat up with sweat rolling down her body. She could barely breathe. Lyle sat up then. "Alina, what happened?" Alina just started crying again. Lyle stood up and went over to Alina"s bed and sat next to her. "Alina tell me what happened." Alina started to explain the nightmare from beginning to end, only stopping to cry harder. Afterwards, Lyle put his arm around Alina"s shoulders. "It"s ok, it"s ok." Alina sighed again and started to calm down. She started to slowly fall asleep again. As she drifted back to sleep she laid her head on Lyle"s shoulder. As Alina closed her eyes Lyle smiled and strted to stand up. He laid her head back on her pillow and pulled the blanket over her. He sat back down on his bed, and decided to stay up the rest of the night to make sure she stays alright. The rest of the night was peaceful, no more nightmares.
