The World Of Swords

Chapter 17 Endless Attacks Bang! Bang! …… On the road, Di Hongtian strode forward with the Sword Zhongfeng on his shoulder. Every step was so heavy that it cracked the surface of the hard, white mud road and left a clear footprint.   As he marched on quickly, his body was full of energy, like boiling water, and the real vitality was circulating wildly inside like dragons swimming through the pa.s.sages with strengthening momentum. The real vitality, which had dried up in his belly, was recovering at an amazing speed. The Xuanyuan Dragon Art had a fatal flaw. The pract.i.tioners had to practice the martial art at the cost of their lives, so no one had ever lived beyond thirty years old. It took such a high price to practice the martial art that without corresponding advantages, n.o.body would have wanted to practice it and it wouldn’t have been pa.s.sed on ‘til today, either.   The flaw of the Xuanyuan Dragon Art was fatal; however, its advantages were also amazing. Hence, the Xuanyuan Dragon Art had been pa.s.sed down from generation to generation in the  Sword Villa. The practice of the Xuanyuan Dragon Art would result in three amazing advantages. Any one of them had a strong temptation to the pract.i.tioners of martial arts. If it had not been restricted within the Sword Villa, it would have already stirred up the whole world of martial arts. Firstly, the pract.i.tioner, who had completed the first three parts of Xuanyuan Dragon Art, could improve his strength quickly at the price of consuming his life to enhance his power to an amazing level within a short time. Of course, it didn’t mean there was no limit. If he consumed too much of his life too quickly, his life mechanism would collapse very soon and he would instantly die. Secondly, the force resulting from the practice of Xuanyuan Dragon Art was so powerful that it was almost incomparable in the world of martial arts. Moreover, at the level of real vitality outside the body, the strength would be condensed into the shape of a dragon with great power. Thirdly, the recovery capability of the Xuanyuan Dragon Art was amazing. For the pract.i.tioner of the Xuanyuan Dragon Art, he could own endless real vitality. The real vitality that had been consumed could also be recovered within a short time, so there was no need to deliberately conduct painstaking cultivation and it was free from environmental influences. The real vitality in Di Hongtian’s body was exhausted because he sacrificed the sword to urge the power, and the real vitality was swallowed up instantly without any buffer.   Because he was eager to return to the Jianzonglin Clan, he immediately set out without any hesitation after defeating the bandits of Sheya Cave, the followers of the Cult of the Devil, and the Qianfan Clan as well. On the way back, the Xuanyuan Dragon Art automatically ran throughout his body and the real vitality was quickly consumed. It was because of the great power of the Xuanyuan Dragon Art that he had enough strength for ten years of cultivation to complete the first three levels, and then showed up in the world of martial arts to seek out the perpetrator behind his family’s slaughter.   Within one hour he had covered tens of kilometers and almost half of the real vitality inside his body had been recovered. Just before him, four or five figures suddenly appeared and stood in the middle of the road. Once he appeared, the five people raised their heads. The real vitality suddenly awoke like a sleeping beast with ascendant momentum, as if there was a high wall erected between the heavens and the earth to block the road.  “Hmph!” Di Hongtian slightly raised his eyebrows and scowled. He stared at the five people in front of him without slowing down his steps or even decreasing to a walking speed. He charged at them fiercely.   “Leave the Sword Zhongfeng, otherwise . . . ”   Seeing Di Hongtian mounting such an aggressive charge against them, the five people were so frightened that the color of their faces had changed.    Before they had even finished their words. . .   Bang! A dragon hovered up out of Di Hongtian and rushed into the terrible momentum that had been jointly condensed by the five people.  The wind swelled up with terrible power and the momentum built by the five instantly collapsed. Their expressions changed suddenly as if they were hit by a frightening monster. Their bodies were shaken and they kept stepping back. Whirl. . . Di Hongtian reached his arm to pull out the Sword Zhongfeng and slammed it down violently. They felt like they’d been hit by a torrent and scattered in all directions. Every wave of force contained the ma.s.sive real vitality. The five were instantly overwhelmed by the horrible torrent. . . Clang! Waving the Sword Zhongfeng, Di Hongtian didn’t change his pace and rushed against the five. Without looking back, he marched forward and disappeared half a mile away in an instant. Ping! Ping! The five people suddenly burst like a wooden boat hit by the huge wave. …… After a while, Di Hongtian had arrived at the foot of a small hill. On the hilltop stood a man.  “Hand over the Sword Zhongfeng in exchange for your life!” With a cold sneer, the man standing on the hilltop suddenly jumped down to attack Di Hongtian with a long sword in his hand that was bursting with flashes. Ping!   With fierce flames in his eyes, Di Hongtian stamped his foot to jump up with the Sword Zhongfeng waving in the air. A cold light arose and flashed away instantly. Ding! With a crisp sound, half of the sword tip suddenly collapsed with blood stains. Puff! The figure that quickly smashed down through the air stopped and then fell down. The figure touched down with two legs slightly bent and immediately launched onto the mountain top with two leaps without any hesitation. In the blink of an eye, it disappeared behind the mountain. ……   In the town, Di Hongtian walked straight forward with large strides. Along the street were many shops and the sound of the vendors could be heard everywhere. People were going back and forth amidst the noise. Among the pedestrians, there were many martial arts pract.i.tioners with swords on their backs, including a dark-faced man in linen rags with calloused hands who was pa.s.sing by him. . . Whoop! A sharp blade suddenly appeared against his waist. “Hmph!” He suddenly stamped his foot to release the real vitality and sweep away the ten people around him. Meanwhile, the dragon of real vitality was condensed out of his body and swung its tail with a shocking roar.  Ping! As if being smashed by an iron rod, the middle-aged man’s arm holding the dagger was broken, his bone puncturing flesh and the arm hanging limply. “Go to h.e.l.l!” A pa.s.ser-by, who had just been pushed away, suddenly waved his palm to launch fierce attacks on Di Hongtian’s vital parts. “You overestimate yourself!” Di Hongtian’s eyes were full of coldness. Turning his arm, he waved the Sword Zhongfeng in front of him and the sword light arose like the shining full moon. Ding. . .  The sparks were bursting out and the hidden weapons of various shapes fell like mosquitoes. ……
