Ira was still a little shocked about what she did. She also felt a little suffocating being surrounded by all those people.

"Grandpa, sorry but, I"m not feeling so good. Could you please excuse me?"

"Sure, my child. Carry on."

Ira nodded her head as she walked away. Her heart felt heavy. She was not sure about what she did. She tried talking with Seal, but she didn"t respond. Her anxiety just reached the peak.

Ira"s mind was wandering elsewhere. She didn"t focus on where she was going.

"Be careful!" A soft voice made her snap back to reality.

The big inn in the entire village was still under construction. The tied logs of wood were dangling loose. Before someone was about to tie them properly, the rope snapped making the logs of wood fall.

Ira swiftly moved from the place where she was standing.

"Young miss, are you alright? Were you hurt?"

"No-no I"m fine... Please be sure to tie it properly next time."

"What the! That was close! Wait... that voice... it sounds a little familiar... Where have I heard it?"

She turned towards the direction of the voice that warned her of the danger and saw the shadow of someone walking towards the thick woods.

Ira followed him closely behind without thinking much. But at a certain point she lost him and looked around here and there to find that man.

Unable to find who that was Ira sighed in regret as she turned around to head back to the village when suddenly a strong pair of familiar arms pulled her with such a force which she had never felt before.

She was already wrapped tightly in the arms which she had missed so much.

That warm and familiar touch of those hands, those broad and wide shoulders and that perfectly sculptured muscular chest, no doubt it was...

"Shiv..."

Ira covered her mouth in disbelief. She was so happy that it was him. But strangely his grip on her waist didn"t get loose but instead it tightened.

"Shiv, stop that hurts." Ira wailed in pain. He was being very rough with her unlike his usual gentleness.

She could feel his hot breath as he dug his head on the nook of her neck.

He whispered her name into her ear with his enchanting voice.

"Ira..."

She could feel her face heating up as her words were caught in her throat making her stand there like a tree rooted to the ground.

He again whispered her name as he held her tightly.

Both of them stood like that for a while until General Dev broke the sweet silence between them.

*Clears his throat*

"Your highness, we need to send her back. If not they might get suspicious."

Shiv let go of her as he looked at Dev.

Ira recalled the voice that warned her earlier. That was General Dev.

"Yes... I just wanted to see her. Now that we met, send her back safely..."

Ira felt something strange. While giving out the orders for Dev, Shiv didn"t even spare her a glance.

Though she was happy that he said, he wanted to see her, she felt like something was missing.

Ira couldn"t take it anymore that she questioned him directly.

"Shiv, look at me! Why are you avoiding my gaze? Why are you sending me back? Why?"

Shiv continued to look elsewhere and avoided her gaze.

"Just like he said... If you continue to be here, those soldiers will become suspicious... and it might put everyone in danger..."

"I understand that! What about my other question? Why are you not looking at me?"

"No... it"s not like that..."

She didn"t pester him further, for some unknown reason her heart felt heavy. This was the first time he avoided looking at her and it did hurt her.

Ira didn"t say anything as she turned around to leave.

"Lady Ira, where are you?"

General Amar who saw her walking towards the woods, continued to follow her. But at a certain point he lost track of her and continue to search for her.

Ira started to panic as she heard Amar"s voice.

"General Dev, take Shiv and go away. That voice belongs to General Amar of Royal Guards."

Before Dev could react, Amar noticed the presence of someone in the woods. He unsheathed his sword as he was ready to attack.

Dev was prepared to protect Shiv and Ira. But he was stopped by Shiv.

....

"Ira? Child? Where did she go? I told her to not go too far." The elder was typically worried about her like a mother hen protecting its chicks.

A little boy came running to the elder and notified him about Ira"s whereabouts. The elder asked the boy to take him to the woods.

....

"Oh my! What a surprise! I didn"t expect the prince to make an appearance so soon. My lady, it hasn"t even been a day since you got freed, now you are trying to run away?"

"Look, Amar, you got it all wrong. I didn"t try to run away. In fact he let me go back. So..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Shiv walked in front of her as he glared at Amar.

Amar had a wide and nonchalant smile plastered on his face. Ira got a bad feeling from those two men in front of her.
