"Cousins? My Lord, are you kidding me?" Aditya somehow felt wronged. He felt like Shiv was mocking him.Shiv on the other hand was sulking like a little kid with a deep frown on his face.
"Do I look like, I"m playing?"
Without batting an eye lid, Aditya instantly replied with an, "Yes."
"Think whatever you want! You know I can"t handle kids..."
Aditya cut him in between, "So, you want me to babysit them?"
Aditya"s vein popped from annoyance. He dearly wished to beat the c.r.a.p out of his stupid friend.
Shiv nodded his head as he gave him his most gorgeous smile.
"Let me tell you clearly, I will not do it no matter what happens. You better take care of it yourself! Leave me out!"
Shiv felt totally betrayed abandoned like a lost puppy, as his only close friend refused to help him.
"If that is all, I shall take my leave." Aditya didn"t care to even spare a glance at his friend as he too didn"t want to get involved with those troublesome kids.
Those two kids were quite famous in the capital for their troublesome nature. Whenever they came for a visit, most of the people in the capital dare to crawl out from their hole. They would prefer to go rather unnoticed.
Shiv is closer to his aunt who was the younger sister of his father. She was the one who practically raised him after his parents were killed in the war.
Kids tend to be a little naughty, but those little devils are so naughty that they cause trouble wherever they go.
There was once a time when they started a huge fire in the kitchen while they were playing with a potato and there was also one time when they were playing with a rabbit and nearly ended up becoming food for an hungry lion.
If someone was going to watch over those kids, that person can"t afford to take his eyes off them.
But no matter what, they both are the cutest kids in the entire capital!
But n.o.body knew how those little ones felt whenever they caused trouble.
It was more like the kids were seeking attention from the others as they felt lonely. Their parents never had time for them. Those poor kids were always ignored by them. Even if it meant they would cause trouble for others, they desperately wanted someone to look at them.
Shiv was the only exception, even when he was busy, he would find some time to play with them, which made them become quite attached to him.
Before he left, Aditya wanted to ask a quick question to him.
"When are those kids coming?"
"Today!"
"Good luck! I hope you live a long life!" Saying that he swiftly left.
"My poor head..." He felt a head ache coming his way.
A few hours pa.s.sed, the day was going peacefully well without any kind of disturbance. Suddenly a messenger entered into the courtroom to announce the arrival of the little Princes.
"My Lord, The Princes have arrived safely."
Two little kids around the age of five ran into the courtroom without any notice and leaped into Shiv"s embrace.
The kids were twins. One was a boy while the other was a girl. They both looked so alike that people couldn"t say them apart if it weren"t for their clothes.
The twins had a beautifully long brown hair, matched with a pair of sapphire blue eyes. Both the kids were fair and looked so lovely like a doll. If one was not aware of their personalities, they would never believe those kids were capable enough to cause trouble.
"Araa and Abi. How have you been?" Shiv smiled widely as he greeted the kids.
It"s not like he hated the kids or anything, he was just not good at handling them.
"Brother! We missed you!" The kids hugged and squeezed him like he was a pillow. Shiv couldn"t help but find them a little cute for acting that way.
The officials in the courtroom were a little petrified by their strong personalities. If they were wronged, they would do whatever it took to get their revenge. As long as one doesn"t get on their bad side, that person was considered quite lucky.
The little girl pulled Shiv"s palm as she pleaded with him.
"Brother, come and play with us, please."
"Araa, brother is a little busy now. After completing my work I will come and play with you. So be patient and play with your older brother."
"No, I won"t! We always play together everyday. I want to play with you brother!"
Shiv has a weak spot for cuteness, he pinched the s.p.a.ce between his brows as he tried his hardest to resist his cute cousin"s whining.
Her twin brother grabbed her hand as he bowed and took her away.
"Abi, why did you drag me out?"
"I"m worried that even our brother will start to feel troubled and bothered by our presence. Don"t whine. He said he would come and play with us once he finished his work. So we have to wait."
Shiv was a little troubled as he saw Abi drag his sister away without any word.
"I will take care of it later... Now work comes first."
"Okay, carry on with your report." Shiv ordered as he entered into work mode.
"There was one incident on the roaming demons. They have been causing trouble here and there by eating children... both human and demon children..."
The courtroom was in a chaos hearing the report. The roaming demons are those who do not belong anywhere in particular. They hunt anybody that they come across. They were considered to be quite strong as they consumed the life energy of both the humans and the demons.
They were feared by the humans as those demons were even more stronger than the regular one"s.
"How many are currently roaming?"
"There are about 3 as per our information, My Lord."
"Hmm... dispatch a portion of well trained soldiers and try to catch them alive. If they resisted, kill them on the spot."
"Yes, My Lord."
