"Hahaha... Come and catch me!" Araa was laughing loudly while playing with her brother. Abi was running around in the hopes to catch her.Their nanny took then out of the palace as they both insisted that they wanted to play outside.
After playing for a long time the twins grew tired and laid flat on top of the gra.s.s as they breathed heavily.
The vendor across them was selling cotton candies, which caught the attention of Araa.
"Prince and Princess, please don"t go anywhere and stay here for a while. I will go and buy the cotton candy and come fast." The old nanny took her leave.
The twins looked at the vast sky above their heads,
"Brother, I wonder how big the sky is..."
Abi didn"t know how to answer her but he cleared his throat and tried his best to give her an answer.
"I have heard from our nanny that the sky has no limits and it is so vast! But..."
Abi hesitated to speak for a while as his beautiful sapphire blue eyes were filled with tears. Araa who doesn"t know why he was crying sat up straight and took his tiny head into her tiny embrace as she comforted him.
Abi was overwhelmed with emotions the moment she hugged him and started crying his eyes out.
Araa was even more confused to see her dear brother cry.
"Abi, why are you crying? Are you hurt anywhere? Abi?"
Abi shook his head indicating a "No". He slowly spoke while crying.
"I heard the people at our home talking something strange..."
"What was that?"
Abi wiped his tears away as he looked at his sister"s eyes with determination.
"If we ever get thrown out by our father, I will do whatever it takes to protect both you and our mom..."
Araa was even more confused with what he was saying.
"I heard people talking that our father is going to marry a princess from a very strong nation and make her as his queen... If he does that our mom"s position will be taken away...."
Araa was startled hearing what he told.
The twins may be very young, but they both completely understood how this cruel world operates. They, who didn"t receive the love and affection that they deserve, were very sensitive and fragile at heart, even though they do many naughty things and keep up their haughty facade they longed for love.
All of that was just to protect themselves from getting hurt any further. But somehow Shiv was able to sense how lonely those kids felt and always paid attention to what they were up to.
Even though he never said it out loud, he clearly loved those twins with all of his heart.
Araa held her brother"s hand, "Abi, don"t worry all by yourself. Nothing has happened yet. We have to wait and see how it goes. At that time, if what you said truly happens, we have our brother Shiv! I"m sure he will help us out of that situation. So don"t cry."
Araa was always a level headed kid, she knows when and where to behave like a kid. One can say she was way mature for her age.
Somehow hearing her mention Shiv"s name, Abi"s insecurities were instantly taken away. Finally he began to smile.
Seeing him smile brightly, Araa couldn"t help but smile herself.
While the kids were laughing heartily, they happen to notice a small white rabbit wandering nearer to them.
Araa immediately stood up and was ready to chase it while Abi grabbed hold of her as he stopped her from doing so.
"Araa, don"t you remember the last time when we got ourselves becoming a meal for a lion thanks to a rabbit?"
Araa chocked on her own saliva.
"Well... that happened because we were not careful?"
"Are you asking me a question?" Abi huffed while looking at her.
Araa gave him one of her cute smiles as she escaped from his grip and started chasing the little rabbit.
Abi who couldn"t do anything about his unruly sister, finally decided to follow her so that she doesn"t get lost.
"Araa! Slow down a little! Don"t go too far! Brother Shiv and our nanny will get worried!" His meek pleas fell onto deaf ears as she totally ignored her brother and followed the rabbit into the woods.
Abi who was completely focused on Araa, didn"t notice that they were entering deep into the woods.
Araa"s total attention was on the rabbit that she wouldn"t care about anything in the world.

The nanny"s heart nearly stopped finding the kids missing. She dropped the cotton candy onto the ground and ran towards the palace to inform Shiv.
"Lord Shiv, the twins nanny is here with a news."
Shiv pinched the s.p.a.ce between his brows. He clearly understood that she haven"t brought any good news with her. He asked her to enter.
"My Lord, please forgive this old woman for being so careless. I shouldn"t have left the prince and the princess alone. I"m so sorry. Please don"t kill me!"
The old nanny screamed in horror in front of Shiv.
"I won"t kill you, so calm down and tell me what exactly happened."
The nanny filled him in on the details.
"Did you say the north forest?"
"Yes, my lord..."
Shiv felt a huge storm coming his way. The north woods was the place where the wandering demons were spotted. If he didn"t hurry, the little kids might become their prey.

Araa tripped and fell flat on the ground. She cried in pain from her sprained ankle. The rabbit was long gone.
Abi was startled to see her weep in pain. When he turned around to ask for help all he could find around them were nothing but trees.
The realization finally stroke him.
"Oh my G.o.d! we are deep into the woods."
Abi quickly hushed his weeping sister as he didn"t know what was lurking around in the woods.
He spoke to her in a soft voice.
"Stupid! Now see what you have done! We are trapped deep into the woods!"
Hearing his words, Araa finally decided to look around her. Her eyes were widened from surprise, she didn"t say anything to her brother, but had an apologetic look on her cute face.
*Rustle*
The kids heart sank when they heard a sound behind them. Their heart was beating out of their chests.
