Chapter 193: The End of the Luo Clan
Luo Zihong did not hesitate after failing to do anything with that hit, following up with yet a flurry of blasts of sword aura right away.
He was determined to kill Lu Xuan where he stood.
The attacks were getting increasingly quick.
Luo Zihong’s mastery of his blade reached a frightening level.
The attacks tore through the air right away.
Furious sonic booms were heard one after another.
However, all of those terrifying sword auras were taken down by a single punch from Lu Xuan at the very next second.
Lu Xuan hardly did anything else. The only attack he pulled was the “Golden Dragon Claws” and nothing else. That attack pulverized all sword auras sent at him, enabling him to emerge unscathed.
“Is that really all you got, Lu Xuan? You dare to take me on seriously just like that?”
Luo Zihong scowled at Lu Xuan.
Lu Xuan did little more than tear down whatever attack was sent at him. However, if he were to keep that up, Luo Zihong would end up being killed eventually.
Nothing tops being young in the way of martial arts.
It was obvious that Lu Xuan was the young while Luo Zihong was already old.
Luo Zihong was still able to hold on for the moment due to him, as he was at his prime at that moment. However, if they were to drag things out, it would only be a matter of time before he ended up dead.
As such, he had no choice but to provoke Lu Xuan, as he saw a chance of surviving his current predicament in doing so.
“So you’re trying to provoke me, then? Doesn’t matter, but do you really think that’s all that I’m capable of?”
Lu Xuan laughed away.
Vooom!
Luo Zihong roared and brought his blade down on Lu Xuan right away. His attacks felt very interconnected and dreamlike as he brought the blade down on his enemy.
The air around the flash of his blade was actually ignited, turning the attack into sword auras wrapped in blazing flames.
“Golden Dragon in the Sky!”
Lu Xuan clenched his fist and punched. The force of his attack materialized into a golden dragon under the work of his Spiritual Qi, heading straight for the blade coming down from the top.
Boom!
A loud rumble was heard, signifying yet another terrifying clash between the two.
The clash between opposing Spiritual Qi felt like some high explosives in large quant.i.ties being detonated.
The powers of both combatants far surpa.s.sed that of common Invincible Vajras. That clash eclipsed anything, by several orders of magnitude, that was pulled before.
Booom!
Yet another frightening rumble was heard. The spectators were still blinded by the ma.s.sive amount of dust and debris kicked up by the Spiritual Qi clash. All they were able to see was Luo Zihong’s sword being sent flying.
Luo Zihong’s hand actually exploded.
It looked like something brought about by an extremely deadly attack.
“How could this be possible!? He’s an Invincible Vajra, isn’t he!?” some exclaimed in astonishment.
If Level Eight among the nine levels of cultivation were to be said to be a level where one’s mental state evolves, then the evolution of one’s physical state was to happen at Level Nine.
At Invincible Vajra Level, a cultivator could have taken a large caliber round and survive the shot.
Said round would not even be able to penetrate the surface of the cultivator’s musculature.
Even if an Invincible Vajra were to be hit by a sh.e.l.l, they still would not suffer injuries too severe.
Only Invincible Vajras would be able to take on Invincible Vajras.
That was precisely why everyone was in disbelief when they saw Luo Zihong’s hand blown to bits.
It was difficult to imagine just how great of a force would be needed to pull off a feat like that.
“That’s even more terrifying than having to take explosives point-blank!” some among the spectators commented in fright.
Luo Zihong backed away like he just saw a ghost. The seething pain from having his hand blown apart twisted his face.
“How could you still have that much power left?” Luo Zihong was frightened and angry. He thought that his previous level of power surpa.s.sed Lu Xuan’s limit, after all.
However, what Lu Xuan did made him realize that all of his speculations about Lu Xuan’s powers prior were utterly wrong.
Even after using his secret art and his powers amplified by two times over, he remained as frail as a baby when facing Lu Xuan. What he pulled had been utterly pointless.
He was unable to even imagine how Lu Xuan trained. In his eyes at the moment, Lu Xuan was no longer a human; that young man was a monster disguised as a human.
He deemed Lu Xuan more terrifying than actual monsters, as he was unable to fathom just how a human could reach such a level of power otherwise. He had never heard of any human able of reaching such heights before.
“Well, you were bold because you were foolish.” Lu Xuan continued casually, “How much do you think you know about the world, judging from your current level of powers, eh?”
“The fact that you are trying to gauge me using what you know about the world is utterly hilarious in itself!”
None among the spectators knew what Lu Xuan was talking about. They only felt that the mystery shrouding Lu Xuan had just gotten thicker at the moment.
“Golden Dragon in the Sky!”
Lu Xuan flashed and appeared right before Luo Zihong.
“Stop it! Leave the Great Ancestor alone!”
Those from the Luo Clan charged at Lu Xuan like madmen. They knew very well just how frighteningly powerful Lu Xuan was by then, but they saw no other choice. If Luo Zihong died by Lu Xuan’s hand, the entire Luo Clan would go to the dogs, having been stripped of their Great Ancestor’s protection.
Booom!
Booom!
Booom!
Those from the Luo Clan pouncing onto Lu Xuan were sent flying at even greater speeds. They were all repelled as if they had just hit a steel wall.
All of them were sent flying by the golden dragon shrouding Lu Xuan. None of them were able to even touch him.
All of them crashed to the ground soon and never got up. The bones all over their bodies were utterly crushed and shattered by that terrifying speed at which they were sent flying.
Lu Xuan arrived right before Luo Zihong and threw a punch squarely at the latter’s chest.
Boom!
That punch hit Luo Zihong squarely, and he was unable to even react to it in time.
Lu Xuan’s born taoism apt.i.tude paired with the Taixu Origin Power that he trained in meant that Lu Xuan’s power was far above the imagination of Luo Zihong, someone who was of the same level as Lu Xuan.
Booom!
Luo Zihong spat up blood right away after being hit. The tremendous force from that punch raged throughout his body, destroying all of his internal organs in an instant, and completely shattering his bones, which were stronger than steel.
“You…”
Luo Zihong lay in a pool of blood. He was unable to utter more than a single word before dying.
Everyone around those two were still reeling from extreme shock.
They were still unable to recover from how easily Lu Xuan was able to dispose of Luo Zihong, or rather, they were unable to even accept that that just happened at all.
“Luo Zihong is dead. The Luo Clan is done for,” some among the guests of the clan murmured.
Everyone else realized without a doubt what they meant. The Luo Clan was probably no more from that day on.
Lu Xuan demonstrated frightening powers before the crowd, and all of them no longer backed the clan anymore, even if they were just trying to avoid being on Lu Xuan’s bad side.
All of the clan’s properties were considered up for grabs by everyone else by then.
What happened to the Qiu Clan in the past was an example of what would happen from then on out.
Luo Clan had gotten on the bad side of some really frightening, ferocious being, and that meant that the clan’s predicament would not be any better than that of the Qiu Clan.
