Chapter 548: The Laws of the Human Alliance
Dan Chenzi was dead!
Many people, especially those from the Blessed Enclave, remained with their mouths agape at the sight.
At that moment, many people felt shivers traveling down their spines.
“Dan Chenzi and the 10 Devils of Bitter Sea is dead. This definitely isn’t going to sit well with the Taichu Path.”
Many of the people from the Blessed Enclave were utterly astonished.
They knew fully well that Dan Chenzi was the vice sectmaster of Taichu Path. Although his status was not high enough to actually make him some kind of supreme overlord, he was still someone who ranked among the top 10 in the Taichu Path’s hierarchy of power.
The Taichu Path was considered a sacred ground on its own in the Blessed Enclave, being listed among the most powerful back in the Yuan Dynasty.
Dan Chenzi possessed a similar status to a first-rate sectmaster like Zhang Qingming.
Due to being half a step into the Divine Transformation Realm, his status would have probably been slightly higher than that of Zhang Qingming.
More importantly, Dan Chenzi was Yan Han’s master. Yan Han was almost sure to become the next sectmaster in the Taichu Path; n.o.body else could have been considered strong enough to be his rival.
Yan Han would have also been ranked among the most powerful within all of the Blessed Enclave, being in at least the top five. It would not have even been far-fetched to say that he could possibly become the best.
There was no way that the Taichu Path would take what happened without putting up a fight.
Lu Xuan did not benefit at all from killing Dan Chenzi. Instead, he had created an even bigger problem.
Mr. w.a.n.g from the Sanxian Sect mumbled to himself, “There’s no way that the Taichu Path will just sit on their hands on this one. The influence would enable them to mobilize at least one-third of the sects and clans in the Blessed Enclave. I’m afraid that things will become turbulent by the time the sects from the Blessed Enclave arrive.”
Yan Bai, Lu Diandian and the others who were right beside him were utterly frightened.
They saw Dan Chenzi as a living legend, after all.
His status was so high that even their sectmaster had to behave subserviently before Dan Chenzi. Even then, one of them died on Earth, the place they saw to be the mortal realm.
One could have only imagined just how much of a commotion that would have caused.
Mr. w.a.n.g said, “What’s happening right now… this is the calm before the storm.”
He could tell that Lu Xuan would probably not stop at just killing Dan Chenzi either. The clash between the two parties was virtually inevitable.
Countless people all over the world cheered for Lu Xuan. They did not think all that much about anything. What they knew was that Lu Xuan killed a powerful enemy while maintaining the dignity of the Human Alliance.
Regardless of what those outsiders thought of him, Lu Xuan was still closer to home than them, after all.
At that moment, many forces out there that secretly despises him still smiled. The order that Lu Xuan brought about was no doubt good for them.
One way or another, however, they had gotten used to it.
Over the years, those who were still not used to it or refused to get accustomed were all eliminated by Lu Xuan and the government of the Human Alliance.
The only ones who remained were both willing to submit and strong enough to do so.
Over the years, they learned something about Lu Xuan. Initially, they thought that Lu Xuan was beyond reasoning and knew nothing but slaughter.
Over time, however, they gradually found that they were proven wrong. Lu Xuan was not beyond reasoning. He simply had his own way of doing things, and he would not let anyone else tell him otherwise.
Anyone who submitted to his way of doing things would’ve definitely been spared from his wrath. They would’ve even benefitted greatly from it.
Under such circ.u.mstances, they have all grown accustomed to the order he built. None of them intended on going through such turbulent times again, especially when they would have faced something even worse than before.
Most of the fighters from the Blessed Enclave were so deluded that they saw the Earth’s current natives as savages, livestock walking on two legs whose wellbeing was beneath them.
Things would never have been in their favor if they were to submit to such people.
At that moment, even those who disliked Lu Xuan were relieved when he triumphed against the invader.
Lu Xuan was oblivious to the rather complicated thoughts of the inhabitants of Earth. He headed straight for the plaza at the WuTang Mountain.
Many cultivators on Earth rose and greeted him respectfully. Lu Xuan waved his hand in acknowledgment and came before Zhang Qingming.
Lu Xuan cupped his hands and said, “Ah, you must be Sectmaster Zhang. I’m Lu Xuan. Pleased to meet you.”
Zhang Qinming rose with a rather fl.u.s.tered expression on his face. He instantly said, “Well met, Mr. Lu.”
He never expected Lu Xuan to be so unbelievably powerful in the first place.
He knew that the Human Alliance supporting Lu Xuan truly was formidable. He believed that if the forces from the Blessed Enclave were to go to war with the Human Alliance, they would have had to pay a lofty price even if those from the Blessed Enclave emerged victorious.
Then again, he was considering the strength of the entire Human Alliance. He never thought that Lu Xuan himself commanded that much power.
The world of cultivators had a ranking system based solely on one’s combat prowess, which meant that Zhang Qingming had no intentions whatsoever of trying to act all high and mighty before Lu Xuan.
Zhang Qingming immediately said, “Your reputation precedes you, Mr. Lu. You truly are far more than what your reputation suggests you to be.”
Lu Xuan then answered casually, “You’re too kind, Sectmaster Zhang. I’m not as big as they actually make me out to me. Still, I’d like to thank you and the WuTang Clan for being willing to host this exchange.”
Zhang Qingming immediately replied, “Oh, it’s nothing.”
The disciples of the WuTang Clan, especially those from the Blessed Enclave, were all thoroughly shocked to see their sectmaster, whom they all saw to be a living G.o.d of great status, behaved so courteously before someone else.
They could all tell that Zhang Qingming’s courteous behavior was sincere. Their sectmaster was actually behaving rather anxiously before Lu Xuan, fearing that the latter would raze the entire mountain with just a single breath if their sectmaster made one misstep.
There was no need to doubt his capability of doing so. Simply mobilizing the forces of the Heavenly Palace would’ve been enough to raze the entire clan without having to even lift a finger himself.
Zhang Qingming commented exasperatedly, “It’s an honor for you to personally show up, Mr. Lu. What a shame that those fools missed such a great chance.”
Lu Xuan casually replied, “Well put, Sectmaster Zhang. Those fools truly missed out on the opportunity I gave them.”
“The Earth is now united under one banner. All forces on the planet will choose to work with the Human Alliance because they are obliged to do so. In return, they enjoy great privileges, receiving hefty subsidies from the Human Alliance government every year. I’m sure that you’re well aware of that, Sectmaster Zhang.”
Zhang Qingming nodded in agreement right away. Lu Xuan was correct in saying that the clan was well-subsidized every year. The reason was simple: the WuTang Mountain was a sacred mountain of Taoism. As the restoration of spirit qi proceeded further, all manner of divine miracles happened every now and then. The future of the clan was infinitely bright.
“However, other than those savages, I’m sure that there are definitely people who are sensible in the Blessed Enclave just like you are, Sectmaster Zhang. I’d like you to contact them for me. Tell them to follow the laws of the Human Alliance if they were to come to Earth. Trespa.s.sing of any kind would not be tolerated.”
