Chapter 637: An Epoch and a Great Future Ahead
All of the newspapers that were printed and ready for distribution were recalled in a single night. The editors were dragged out of bed by their superiors to change the headlines and the news that followed.
Areas that were in the daytime even saw additional prints being added on the same day.
Radio, online, all other types of media, and even social media accounts all drafted their own pieces overnight.
Within a night, everyone felt as if they had just seen the greatest change of the century taking place overnight. This was especially so with the countless areas that were about to see the sunrise of the next day.
It felt as if in just one night, they came to a completely new era they had never antic.i.p.ated.
All kinds of information regarding the Blessed Enclave washed all over the world. A good portion of that information was actually old news that was gathered since the advent of the 10 Devils of Bitter Sea some time ago.
Then again, a few people were able to get their hands on entirely new pieces of information. Thus, they had to repackage and make do with the outdated news instead.
One way or another, the term ‘Blessed Enclave’ came to the top of searches online.
Many began to realize that the Blessed Enclave would become the first extradimensional colony of the Earth Federation.
While those from the Blessed Enclave did not think that way, it was not like they could actually object to it while Lu Xuan was in charge.
The forces of the Earth Federation would make their way to the Blessed Enclave before long. The powers that were under that government’s control were at such grand scales that the ones from the Blessed Enclave would’ve been left with two choices.
They would either be integrated into the Earth Federation and share planet Earth’s prosperity, or they would be outcla.s.sed by those from the planet in every way and be eventually reduced to a true colony.
To many cultivators from Earth, who had long been limited by the shackles enveloping the Earth, making their way into the Blessed Enclave would enable them to perfectly circ.u.mvent such a situation.
The only authority who possessed the key to the pa.s.sage linking two places was the Earth Federation.
If there were any cultivation forces out there that were uncooperative with the Earth Federation and simply refrained from fighting the world government out in the open, they would’ve been left with no choice at the moment but to work with the Earth Federation. This was because of their rich history and vast wealth.
If they continued to refuse to work with the Earth Federation, all of their fighters would be subjected to the limitations of the planet. Meanwhile, the others would’ve been able to make greater progress while they could easily circ.u.mvent such limitations.
The shackles would one day be loosened further to the same level as in the Blessed Enclave, but that would take years to even over a decade.
By then, there would’ve been a ma.s.sive difference in terms of power between those who chose to circ.u.mvent such limitations and those who chose to deal with it head-on.
Then again, Lu Xuan was not out to do charity work. The higher-ups were keen enough to return the favor by letting the Yunxuan Villa, the Heavenly Palace, and the Special Task Force be in charge of registration and approval of travel requests.
That was how the Earth Federation acknowledged those three places as an official part of the government.
In doing so, any cultivation forces who needed to develop further in the Earth Federation would naturally have to defer to those three organizations.
These three places, which had been very powerful to begin with, would grow to unimaginable levels due to what was going to happen.
Lu Xuan’s family members and Yun Ling’er, his disciple, gathered around in the Yunxuan Villa. Even Yun Ling’er became acknowledged as a core member of Lu Xuan’s family.
The only disciple that Lu Xuan personally took in was Yun Ling’er. Every other person that he had guided were not even remotely considered disciples of his.
All of those people had become high-ranking officials in the Earth Federation. While there were times when they could claim that Lu Xuan taught them a thing or two, n.o.body dared to claim that they were truly under Lu Xuan’s tutelage.
Everyone knew that, aside from his own family members, the only person whom Lu Xuan personally taught was Yun Ling’er.
Lu Shanshan couldn’t help but be the first to ask, “Brother, are we going to the Blessed Enclave as well?”
Lu Xuan nodded and said, “Indeed. You’ve all acc.u.mulated enough experience. The only thing stopping you from progressing any further the limitations of the planet. If you wanna go further, you’d have to get to the Blessed Enclave.”
Aside from Lu Xuan’s father, Lu Tianxiang, everyone else had already reached the ninth tier of the Divine Treasure Realm. Making further progress on Earth would’ve been almost impossible.
Even Lu Tianxiang, who had been given as many resources as he needed and received his son’s guidance every now and then, had only reached the eighth tier of the Divine Treasure Realm. Like everyone else, the only thing preventing him from making further progress was the planet’s limitations.
While Lu Tianxiang was fairly talented, he was only a mere mortal. That meant that he could not compare with the others in his family who were of apparently different physiques. The others were after all, capable of resisting the limitations to make further progress.
Lu Xuan was not the only one who cared about Lu Tianxiang’s progress. Lu Tianxiang’s wife and daughters were very concerned for him as well.
The reason was simple: cultivators were capable of extending their lifespans through reaching higher levels of training. Beings at Divine Treasure Realm could easily live for over 200 years.
In contrast, those at the Divine Transformation Realm could easily live over 500.
After all, everyone in Lu Tianxiang’s family hoped that they were able to be with each other as long as possible.
Everyone else was destined to make breakthroughs in Divine Transformation Realm, perhaps even into levels beyond that. They would easily live up to 500 or even 1000 years old.
It would be a ma.s.sive blow to the Lu family if Lu Tianxiang pa.s.sed away too soon.
Lu Xuan had been trying to avoid that. After losing his entire family back in his past life, he clung to his family like nothing else.
The warehouse was stockpiled with precious herbs. Lu Xuan was even concocting all manner of pills and elixirs for extending one’s lifespan.
He had several pills on hand that could help extend one’s life by several years. He was even preparing many pills that were capable of extending lifespans by 10 to 20 years.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
It was not that Lu Xuan was incapable of making more, but that the mystical ingredients on Earth had only begun to transform. Additionally, they didn’t last very long, either. Even if he had both the formulas and capability to make such medicines, there was only so much he could do about the lack of ingredients.
Those pills, even just those capable of extending one’s lifespan by three to five years, would cause a huge commotion out there. After all, many people were fully willing to exhaust all of their possessions to extend even just three years of their life when they were on their deathbed. Such pills alone would be enough to sustain his family’s vast wealth for years.
He needed none of that. The women in his family would not need them, either. As long as they keep making decent progress in their training, they didn’t need such things.
Even so, Lu Tianxiang would definitely need those. Cultivators who boosted their progress through such means would have combat prowess and levels that were far inferior to those who did not.
Lu Xuan, however, didn’t care about any of that. The situation with his family meant that they would not need the father to fight out there as well. His father being alive and well would be enough to put him at ease.
Lu Tianxiang naturally understood that even if it wasn’t for his family’s sake, he would still need to do so for himself. Death was still a terrifying thing to face, after all.
Old age and death had once been facts of life that n.o.body could avoid. Now that there were ways to extend one’s lifespan significantly, he naturally would not give up easily.
As such, he was hardly against the arrangement. He did not resent the fact that his son was far superior to him.
