Chapter 692: I Stole Your Loot, So What?
He had his own plans for coming into the secret realm of Tianhai City. If things went according to plan, he should see a huge leap in his powers from then on out.
By then, his status within his sect would see a huge improvement as well. That meant that all the plans he had laid out throughout the years would’ve come to fruition.
If nothing else, he had set his sights on the Blood Phoenix Fruits.
The Blood Phoenix Fruits were unable to work to their fullest extent in the hands of the natives, which caused him to feel rather pathetic and drained.
He believed that letting the natives eat such fruits was a terrible waste of resources.
Then again, all of those fruits will belong to him soon.
He took the chance to plaster the talismans onto the Geng Metal beast every time he attacked to hinder the beast’s movements. To be more precise, this beast was formidable.
That was because, under usual circ.u.mstances, it usually took only a single talisman to render even someone at the Divine Transformation Realm completely immobile. He could overwhelm them without facing any type of resistance on their end.
However, things were different when it came to that Geng Metal beast. The talismans had only been able to slow it down, not immobilize it completely.
That was the only way he could come up with to deal with the situation at hand. The Geng Metal of the West came with extremely terrifying killing power.
The metal itself was also so resilient that none of his attacks could break the beast’s sh.e.l.l. At most, his attacks could only leave gashes all over the beast’s body. Even then, it took only mere moments for those gashes to be mended.
Such a terrifying level of defense made him feel rather dejected, as he was utterly incapable of doing any damage to the beast. He was about to curse out loud, wondering if the master of the secret realm had gone completely insane. Whoever created this beast used an unbelievable amount of Geng Metal of the West; it was nothing short of a terrible waste of resources.
Ironically, such a waste of resources turned out to be incredibly effective. Despite all the measures he had at his disposal, the talismans were the only ones that worked to some extent.
As the beast kept being slowed down, the talismans were plastered at an incredibly high rate.
Eventually, that Geng Metal beast, which was as huge as a hill, was finally subdued until it was could no longer move at all. All kinds of talismans were plastered all over it, emanating light as they kept that beast from moving at all.
The young man in blood-red attire breathed a sigh of relief. Every single talisman came with a hefty price tag. Usually, it would be considered quite costly to use even just one. The extravagance of using so many resources needed no further elaboration.
“I’ll deal with you later.” That young man snorted and burst forward in a beam of blood-colored light, shooting into the farm.
He then saw Lu Xuan, who was hovering in the air with his legs crossed.
Did someone take my loot?
That man immediately burst with a terrifying aura. He went about trashing everything in his path, destroying countless puppets in his wake. It all simply ended up having others steal his loot, reducing him to that other man’s bouncer.
Even after everything he had done, someone else got ahead of him.
“Hahahahaha. Good work, good work indeed!”
The young man in blood-red attire immediately burst out laughing. He couldn’t think of a better example of a third party benefiting from a tussle than what was happening to him.
He had paid a considerable price while fighting that Geng Metal beast before he was finally able to render that beast totally immobile with sealing talismans.
Despite all the work that he put in, however, it was that man before his eyes who got the prize ahead of him instead.
He was in no mood to mull over how Lu Xuan managed to sneak right under his nose into the medicinal farm.
By then, he was completely taken over by rage. Knowing Lu Xuan, he believed that Zhou Daoping should’ve killed Lu Xuan outside.
He knew little else about Lu Xuan, yet and he deemed the man to have only been little more than a native of that basin.
He didn’t even want to find out more about Lu Xuan.
Right now, he only cared about one thing: he had to kill the man in front of him.
“How dare you steal my loot!”
As that young man in blood-red attire snickered, a terrifying flash was seen bursting in his eyes.
“n.o.body would dare steal the loot when it rightfully belongs to me, Zhou Sulong!”
Lu Xuan was completely unfazed when facing off against that man, feeling nothing over what he did. “So what? I’m already here.”
If it had been back in his past life, a single look from him would have been enough to make the other man explode on the spot. His current level of power paled in comparison to what it was back then, yet he wasn’t the same as when he first came; his powers had grown considerably since then. Even if he were to take on this man named Zhou Sulong, he no longer stood a chance against him.
“What about it? I’m going to skin you alive and tear out your primordial spirit, torturing you all day and all night just to vent my resentment.”
Zhou Sulong was now fuming. He then looked at the Blood Phoenix plant, which should have had fruits hanging from it. The plant currently had nothing on it, making it obvious that the man before his eyes was the one who took them.
That thought angered him even further.
For him, this was an obstacle like no other.
“We’ll see if you truly are capable of doing such a thing.”
Lu Xuan looked at the young man in blood-red attire. Crackling noises rang out from all over his body as he moved his body ever so slightly.
“You piece of sh*t! How dare you touch what is rightfully mine!”
That young man in blood-red attire made his move and threw a claw attack at Lu Xuan. This attack was none other than the Soul-crusher Blood Claw.
That claw attack looked like it was about to tear the sky apart.
Lu Xuan knew of that attack, as it was almost from the same lineage as the Blood Wolf Pirate. It was only that the Soul-crusher Blood Claw that Zhou Sulong threw at him, was leagues above that from the two leaders of the Blood Wolf Pirates. The only difference was that Zhou Sulong’s Soul-crusher Blood Claw was far stronger than that of the two leaders of the Blood Wolf Pirate.
The difference in power between Zhou Sulong and the two leaders of the pirates was so obvious that one could’ve said that the pirates’ version of the Soul-crusher Blood Claw was a watered-down version of what Lu Xuan was currently seeing.
Lu Xuan smirked, thinking that things had gotten interesting. The second-in-command of the Yunlong Village followed Zhou Sulong, who was right before his eyes, like a dog following its master.
The Soul-crusher Blood Claw that the leaders of the Blood Wolf Pirate used was of the same lineage as the one he was currently seeing.
It became apparent that it didn’t matter whether or not it was the Blood Wolf Pirate or the Yunlong Village. They were all related to Zhou Sulong, or at least the force that was behind Zhou Sulong.
To be more precise, it didn’t matter whether it was the Blood Wolf Pirates or the Yunlong Village. They were probably lackeys that the force behind Zhou Sulong kept on a tight leash, with one reigning supreme in the south and the other in the north. The development of the other forces that could be found in the basin was limited. As soon as any of the cultivation forces in the basin made one misstep, they would’ve most likely be met with utter destruction before long.
Taking into consideration what Lu Xuan read in Tianhai City’s archives, he came to his own conclusions on the many happenings in the region.
All the other cultivation forces in the basin probably never realized that to someone else out there, they were little more than cattle to be slaughtered.
