Those Sweet Times
Chapter 9 Part 2
She was quite surprised to hear Shen Zemu’s favor was for her to
cosplay as Li Bai.
“Why Li Bai?” She was confused.
“Because we only have Li Bai’s costume.”
“Urr……”
It looked like the Esports Club was quite impoverished.
Xiang Nuan didn’t think there was any problem to cosplay as Li Bai,
besides Shen Zemu was the one asking her. She wouldn’t refuse him
even if the task was more difficult than cosplaying.
Waiwai: “Xiang Nuan, you go to the main campus this weekend in the
costume. We don’t have much support over there so all the more to
promote the club there.”
“Alright, do I go by myself?”
“Don’t worry, I’ll let Shen Zemu take you there. You don’t have to do
anything, just go with him.”
Xiang Nuan sneaked a peak at Shen Zemu.
Shen Zemu was also looking at her. “Thank you.”
Xiang Nuan blushed. “You, you’re welcome.”
During the following meeting, Waiwai gave out a.s.signments to everyone.
A few would set up tables around the campus to promote the event. Most
of the members were a.s.signed to pa.s.s out flyers at the dorms.
……
Waiwai gave the costume to Xiang Nuan. She took a look and instantly
felt that there was something wrong. “Why is it so big?”
“Because last semester it was Shen Zemu who was wearing it.”
Xiang Nuan didn’t know for sure whether Waiwai was telling the truth or not,
but her desire to wear it further increased.
Xiang Nuan and Shen Zemu had agreed to meet Sat.u.r.day morning at 9,
right outside her dorm.
Li Bai’s costume was too big. Xiang Nuan wasn’t tall enough to be dashing
in the costume, it was more like a undernourished playboy. She really wished
she could wear high heels, but it would be such a mismatch with the costume.
Then, she thought she could use some makeup to make her face more
masculine. But her makeup skills weren’t good enough to achieve what
she wanted…...she found herself in the mirror looking like a weirdo!
She hastily removed the makeup.
The last step was to put on the wig, yet she felt that she simply couldn’t
make it look nice on her head……
She fussed about the costume until 9:40 AM when she went downstairs.
Shen Zemu stood outside the dorm, holding something in his hands, with
his straight back facing Xiang Nuan.
Even the view of his back made her heart beat faster.
“Xuezhang.” Xiang Nuan hurried over as he turned around. She
apologized, “Sorry.”
“No problem, I went to get the flyers and just got here.”
Xiang Nuan noticed that he had a rolled up poster in his left hand and a bag
in his right hand which had a thick stack of flyers printed on A4 sheets.
Waiwai insisted on printed flyers on A4 sheets since it would be too expensive
and environmentally unfriendly to print on thick colored paper.
Shen Zemu stepped back a couple of steps to check the result of her cosplay.
Xiang Nuan was a little uneasy, touching her head, and said, “I can’t get the
wig to work for me, so I just pulled up my hair to make a bun like the ones
men in ancient times liked to wear.”
“It’s pretty good this way.” Shen Zemu nodded.
