Chapter 93.1 - Meting out private punishment
The few people entered the jail and followed the winding path inside.
They walked past countless jail cells until they reached a final and purpose built cell in front.
The closer they got, the stronger the scent of blood was.
Lou Qingwu’s face slightly changed, Feng Shiyi immediately kicked open the door.
They charged in and when they saw the scene in front of them clearly, Feng Yege’s phoenix eyes coldened.
“Zong Ping, who gave you the guts to mete out private punishment?”
Inside the jail cell, Su Sheng was hung up on a frame, locked by iron chains.
She was clearly unconscious, her whole body was covered in b.l.o.o.d.y whip marks that were still dripping blood.
The justice department’s official saw this and his face instantly paled.
He glared at his confidantes and the other jail guards, didn’t he tell them to quickly deal with this?
Why were they so slow?
The confidante shivered under his glare, he wanted to be quick, ah, but this woman was beaten to harshly, if they moved her a little, then she’d die on the spot.
Lou Qingwu quickly walked in front of Su Sheng, her fingers was slightly stiff as it felt underneath her nose for breath.
When she felt a feeble breath against her finger, she quickly turned around, “Shiyi, Lan Bai, help me take Su Sheng down.”
Feng Yege also stepped forward.
He looked at the iron chains, his brows furrowed as he held onto the chains that intertwined against Su Sheng.
He slightly tensed as the iron chains quickly snapped, crumbling to the ground.
The justice department official and the other people in the cell were so scared, they’d lost all colour in their faces.
They were afraid that the next thing to be crushed would be their necks.
At the same time that Feng Yege had snapped broken the iron chains, Feng Shiyi carefully lifted up Su Sheng and strode out of the jail cell.
Feng Yege, Lou Qingwu and Lan Bai followed afterwards and when they walked past the justice department official, Feng Yege coldly looked at him.
The official quickly dropped to his knees with a thunk, “Night Prince, this lower official … didn’t know.”
Feng Yege took back his gaze and ignored him.
They didn’t return to the Lou residence, but went to Feng Yege’s Qingge little building.
Feng Shiyi carefully placed her on the bed.
The housekeeper had already received news and brought Feng Yege’s medical box.
Lou Qingwu was his a.s.sistant as the two people started treating Su Sheng’s wounds.
Four hours later, Su Sheng had finally gotten her life back from death’s grip.
Lou Qingwu then let out a relieved breath.
She stood there with her hands covered in blood as she looked dazedly at her b.l.o.o.d.y hands.
The bright red stung her eyes red and she tightly gripped her feets.
She nearly pressed all the blood into her fists but was stopped by Feng Yege.
“It’s not your fault.”
“But if it wasn’t for me sending her to Mu Yunqing’s side, she wouldn’t have …”
“But even without you, she would’ve tried to scheme her way there.”
Furthermore, if she hadn’t saved Su Sheng back then, she would’ve been dead already.
Lou Qingwu lowered her eyes, a long while pa.s.sed before she nodded her head, “I know.”
Right now, she didn’t need to waste time blaming herself, but she had to use her time to think about how to resolve this.
Su Sheng trying to a.s.sa.s.sinate Mu Yunqing was the truth but what Li Xiangluan did afterwards wasn’t something that she could let go of.
Her eyes blurred before changing into a steely stare.
What goes around comes around, she’d definitely Li Xiangluan pay back what she did all those years ago.
“Senior brother, how is Su Sheng’s body? Can she be saved?”
Feng Yege turned his head to the side to look at the girl who was wrapped up in bandages like a mummy.
He shook his head, “She originally had heart problems and yesterday only exacerbated them, causing even more harm to the root. This then worsened her original sickness and adding on these injuries, she’s probably not going to live for long.”
Lou Qingwu’s lowered hands gripped into fists. “She …. how long does she have?”

TL note:
The t.i.tle’s awkwardly translated - it’s basically when someone punishes (read: torture) someone without explicit approval, often for personal reasons. E.g. Zong Ping allowed his subordinates to torture Su Sheng because Li Xiangluan probably bribed him or threatened him with Li family’s power.
I"ve added a message box to the sidebar so hmu for anything or if there"s anything you can"t/don"t want to post in the comments (accepting love confessions ♡) or you can email [email protected]
Leave a comment and for Su Sheng to be told of the truth xx
