Chapter 165.1 - His fury
Feng Yege’s eyes reflected the cold indifference the person opposite to him was showing.
She was clearly so close to him but at this moment, he’d never felt that they’d been this far from each other.
His mind kept echoing her icy cold voice, “Nothing to do with me? So this is what you’ve been wanting the whole time?”
“Yes.” Lou Qingwu replied to him expressionlessly, slightly tilting her chin up.
Feng Yege’s chest heaved heavily, his dark eyes staring into her, his jade-like profile slowly becoming filled with a bleak sorrow.
His thin lips tightened until after a long time later, his voice was hoa.r.s.e, “Junior sister, if you’re joking, I’ll pretend I didn’t hear that …”
“Why are you so annoying?” Lou Qingwu interrupted him, her face filled with impatience.
“I feel like I’ve said it clearly enough. Right now, apart from being a stepping stone, you’re useless to me. Yes, you’re a G.o.dly doctor but I’ve already learnt 50-60% of your skills already. I’m better than you at using poison and originally, I thought at least you still had your Night Prince ident.i.ty, that you’d also be powerful. But who knew that you’d even get injured like that. You’re not as strong as I thought you were so if you’re useless, we should just split up.”
They were all clearly words that he’d hear during the day, but they sounded so foreign.
Feng Yege finally couldn’t help but laugh.
But his mouth corners were icy cold, hiding the warm gentleman that he always was, and revealing a dark expression.
He was like an animal about to explode in anger, his eyes bloodshot and red, fierce as he watched her.
He suddenly shot out a hand, his five fingers stretching towards Lou Qingwu’s neck.
Lou Qingwu suddenly froze, trying to step backwards but behind her was a cold wall, she suddenly stopped breathing.
But Feng Yege’s hand didn’t reach her body.
He closed his eyes as he angrily punched the wall next to Lou Qingwu’s face.
The strong force of his fist hitting the wall reverberated in Lou Qingwu’s mind, shocking her face into paling.
Her chest heaved up and down, she’d never seen Feng Yege like this before.
Heartbreak and sorrow were clear on his face, as he breathed harshly against her face.
Her nose suddenly felt sour as she forced down the panic on her face to become sharp and scathing, “You … you actually wanted to kill me?”
It was like she couldn’t smell the stench of blood from beside her or the managed fist to the left of her face.
A few drops of blood splashed on her face, making her brows furrowed in disgust at the man in front of her.
Feng Yege looked at the girl in front of him, like he was looking at a stranger.
In her eyes, he could clearly see how pitiful he looked, the impatience in her eyes was as clear as day.
People said, that eyes were like knives, able to cut into people and leave them injured and bloodied all over.
He didn’t used to believe it, but seeing her now, he believed it.
His mind was a mess as he swayed backwards, blood dripping to the ground.
His actions were sluggish as he watched the blood fall, so cold that he felt like all those years, his protection was a joke.
“Lou Qingwu, I … don’t want to see you again.”
He suddenly turned around, his cold figure leaving a long shadow that was also incredibly lonely.
Lou Qingwu bit down on her lips, sucking in a deep breath and in a place where Feng Yege couldn’t see, laughed bleakly.
But her voice was mocking and harsh, “Then that’s for the best.”
