Malekith the Accursed had started a war, for the 6174th time. The dark elves of Svartalfheim leave their world to try and destroy Asgard, every couple centuries this happens leading to the unreasonable number of wars
(Svartalfheim is not only occupied by the dark elves, but also by the dwarves.
By tradition the dwarves stay neutral, to sell their wares to both warring armies. The main reason they don"t fight despite their war loving nature is due to their hatred of leaving their mines and sacred halls.
The light elves of Alfheim, the humans of Midgard, the old G.o.ds of Vanaheim, the cursed of Helheim, also choose neutrality as they have nothing to gain from joining the wars of Asgard and their enemies.)
Since Asgardians love to fight, most of Asgard actually looks forward to the war.
In fact the only reason the dark elves haven"t been ma.s.sacred is due to the Asgardians love of battle, and since they provided a war every couple centuries, they are spared.
For this reason the fire giants of Muspelheim lead by Surtr, and the frost giants of Jotunheim lead by Utgard-Loki are able to join forces with Malekith for this war as well.
The battlefield for this war has always been held on the frozen plains of Niflheim, the last of the nine worlds, which no race has lain claim to.
The warriors on both sides had begun to form ranks.
The lineup for the allied army under Malekith is as follows.
The frost giants who were the largest were in the front. They greatly resemble human figures, except for their frost blue skin, glowing red eyes, and heights ranging from 30-50 feet.
Behind the frost giants were the fire giants, they had varying skin colors ranging from pitch black to flame red, yellow, or orange. Their eyes were fiery blue, their hair made of flames, and heights ranging from 20-30 feet.
In the back were the dark elves, with skin shades of black and purple, dark green eyes, and heights ranging from 5-10 feet.
The giants were armed with heavy armor and gargantuan melee weapons.
The elves however were armed with light armor, bows and arrows, and spears.
On the Asgardian side the newer valkyries and einherjar formed a phalanx on the left and right sides of the main army.
The main army was in formation being led by Era"s commanding officer, Thor"s great grandson, Erik the red, who preparing to charge.
The veterans were more spread out than the recruits, as they were each killing machines, trying to earn as many individual credits as possible.
Suddenly Erik"s voice rang out.
"FOR GLORY!!! FOR HONOR!!! FOR ASGARD!!!" The entire army began chanting at Erik"s cadence.
"CHARGE!!!" Erik yelled after raising the army"s morale.
--Back to Golkindarr--
Five figures stood in front of the guild.
"Well since everyone is ready to leave, it"s time to head off to an academy." -Eldrid
"Are we going with a caravan?" -Rachel
"No, it"s much faster for us to fly." -Eldrid
"Don"t you have to be at the ascendant realm to fly?" -Claire
"The three of us are." -Devan
"WHAT?!" Both girls said in unison.
"We kinda skipped several stages due to our unique cla.s.ses…" -Badr
The girls were dumbstruck by this.
"We"re only at the world seed stage, however most people have to be peak ascendant realm to fly.
The irony is we don"t know what comes next, since our sources for info won"t tell us. Which is another reason for us to go to an academy." -Eldrid
After discussing their plans of action the five set out for the capital.
