Chapter 476 - "Tianbo"s girlfriend" (3)
“I told you that what we think and what the children think are different. It’s best that we stay out of their businesses.” Feng Zeyu found it comical when he saw Shu Yan discouraged.
“I wasn’t thinking about meddling. It’s just that both of their partners are way different than I had expected.”
“Stop thinking about that. Where are we going to travel this year?”
They had almost visited all the locations within China as well as the well-known places overseas. So their options now are either some less well-known locations or revisit a place that they had already been to.”
The two finally went over to their mansion by the sea again. This place was quiet, and romantic.
Tianbao’s girlfriend graduated the year after Tianbao did. He officially proposed to her on this day and succeeded.
“I haven’t even told my parents yet. This is too sudden.” Liu Yun hugged Tianbao’s arm as she looked at the ring on her hand and smiled happily. “But my parents are very open minded. They would agree to whoever I like. Not to mention that you are so outstanding.”
“You are the only one who thinks that I am outstanding.” Tianbao had never told Liu Yun about his family. He was hiding it from her purposefully. Just felt that there was no need to bring it up. Their relationship was between the two of them. It had nothing to do with his family background.
Now that he had proposed, they would need to meet each other’s families. Tianbao brought Liu Yun home with him. Liu Yun was startled when she saw the name of the little district. “You live here?”
“Yeah, why?”
“This area is expensive. Are your family rich?” Liu Yun was a straightforward one and would ask what came to mind.
“We do alright.” Tianbao thought about it some. He guessed his family would be considered wealthy.
“My parents are regular salaried individuals. Given your family background, do you think your mother would not like me?” Liu Yun was worried all of a sudden.
“Don’t you think it’s a bit late to worry about that?” asked Tianbao, finding that comical.
“No. If your parents don’t like me, then we can move out. I’d rather just rent in a small unit. If your parents are nice to me, we will live with them, and I will take care of them with you.”
Tianbao pinched her nose and said, “Don’t worry. I won’t let you live in a small unit.”
Knowing that Tianbao would be bringing home her future daughter-in-law, Shu Yan started the preparations since early in the morning.
She had been urging Tianbao to bring the girl home, but he was dragging his feet about it until she had accepted his proposal.
What kind of kids would do such a thing?
Liu Yun walked inside of Tianbao’s house, somewhat worried. She looked around carefully and noticed that the unit was two-storied.
She never knew that there were two-storied units in this neighborhood. She figured they had purchased two units and joined them together. Each floor was at least 180 square meters in size and two stories meant over 300 square meters. Having a unit this size in this area, exactly how rich was Tianbao’s family? Were they like billionaires?
“Hi, you are Xiao Yun, right?” Shu Yan gave Tianbao a stare. “What are you still standing there for? Quickly fetch slippers for Xiao Yun.”
“Thank you, Aunty. I got it.” Liu Yun gave Shu Yan a careful look. Shu Yan was too young. She looked to be in her 30s and did not look like she could have a child Tianbao’s age.
“Don’t be shy. Treat this like your own place.” Shu Yan brought Liu Yun with her and sat down in the living room. The more Shu Yan looked at her, the more she liked her. “I am from City Xi originally as well so I, too, ama northerner. We are from the same area. So don’t be shy. Just be yourself. I won’t misunderstand.”
“Aunty was from City Xi?” Liu Yun’s eyes lit up when she heard that Shu Yan was from City Xi. “My mom is from City Xi as well.”
“See? What a coincidence. It is all meant to be.” Shu Yan held onto Liu Yun and chatted with her. The more the two chatted, the more she liked the girl.
Shu Yan was the straightforward type, and she liked the straightforward girl. She found it tiring to always have to guess what the other person was thinking.
